ऋषिअगस्त्यो मैत्रावरुणिः

तं यु॑ञ्जाथां॒ मन॑सो॒ यो जवी॑यान्त्रिवन्धु॒रो वृ॑षणा॒ यस्त्रि॑च॒क्रः । येनो॑पया॒थः सु॒कृतो॑ दुरो॒णं त्रि॒धातु॑ना पतथो॒ विर्न प॒र्णैः ॥
तम् । यु॒ञ्जा॒था॒म् । मन॑सः । यः । जवी॑यान् । त्रि॒ऽव॒न्धु॒रः । वृ॒ष॒णा॒ । यः । त्रि॒ऽच॒क्रः । येन॑ । उ॒प॒ऽया॒थः । सु॒ऽकृतः॑ । दु॒रो॒णम् । त्रि॒ऽधातु॑ना । प॒त॒थः॒ । विः । न । प॒र्णैः ॥
हे वृषणा वर्षकौ कामानां युवां तं वक्ष्यमाणगुणविशिष्टं रथं युञ्जाथां योजयतम् । तमित्युक्तं कमित्याह । यः रथः त्रिवन्धुरः त्रिप्रकारसारथिस्थानः । वन्धुरं रथिनः स्थानमित्याहुः । ‘आ याह्यर्वाङुप वन्धुरेष्ठाः' ( ऋ. सं. ३. ४३. १ ) इत्यादिमन्त्रान्तरात् । यः च त्रिचक्रः चक्रत्रितयोपेतः । पुनः स एव विशेष्यते । येन रथेन उपयाथः उपगच्छथः । किम् । 'सुकृतः शोभनसोमाख्यकर्मवतो यजमानस्य दुरोणम् । गृहनामैतत् । यागगृहम् । येनेत्युक्तं केनेत्याह । त्रिधातुना त्रिप्रकारस्थानोपेतेन सुवर्णरजतताम्रधातुत्रयोपेतेन वा रथेन । गमने दृष्टान्तः। विर्न पर्णैः पक्षी पक्षैर्यथा शीघ्रमप्रयत्नेन गच्छति तद्वदुक्तलक्षणेन रथेन पतथः गच्छथः ॥
“Showerers of benefits, harness the car which has three benches, three wheels, and is as quick as thought; with which, embellished with three metals, you come to the dwelling of the pious (worshipper), and in which you travel like a bird with wings.”
MAKE ready that which passes thought in swiftness, that hath three wheels and triple seat, ye Mighty,
Whereon ye seek the dwelling of the pious, whereon, threefold, ye fly like birds with pinions.
Harness that which is swifter than mind, which has a triple chariot-box and three wheels, o bulls,
with which you drive right up to the dwelling of the good performer (of rituals). You fly with the tripartite (chariot) like a bird with its feathers.
Den schirrt euch an, der schneller als Gedanken drei Theile hat, drei Sitze und drei Räder, Auf dem ihr Helden fahrt zum Haus des Frommen; ihr fliegt auf ihm wie Vögel mit den Schwingen.
Schirret ihn an, der schneller als der Gedanke, dreisitzig, dreirädrig ist, ihr Bullen, auf dem ihr zum Haus des Frommen kommt! Ihr flieget mit dem dreiteiligen Wagen wie ein Vogel mit den Schwingen.
Запрягайте ту, что быстрее мысли,
С тремя сиденьями, о два быка, с тремя колесами,
На которой вы приезжаете в дом благочестивого!

सु॒वृद्रथो॑ वर्तते॒ यन्न॒भि क्षां यत्तिष्ठ॑थ॒: क्रतु॑म॒न्तानु॑ पृ॒क्षे । वपु॑र्वपु॒ष्या स॑चतामि॒यं गीर्दि॒वो दु॑हि॒त्रोषसा॑ सचेथे ॥
सु॒ऽवृत् । रथः॑ । व॒र्त॒ते॒ । यन् । अ॒भि । क्षाम् । यत् । तिष्ठ॑थः । क्रतु॑ऽमन्ता । अनु॑ । पृ॒क्षे । वपुः॑ । व॒पु॒ष्या । स॒च॒ता॒म् । इ॒यम् । गीः । दि॒वः । दु॒हि॒त्रा । उ॒षसा॑ । स॒चे॒थे॒ इति॑ ॥
हे अश्विनौ युवयोः रथः सुवृत् शोभनवर्तनः शोभनचक्रपरिभ्रमणः यन् गच्छन् क्षाम् अभि वर्तते देवयजनभूमिं प्रति गच्छति । यत् यं रथं क्रतुमन्ता संकल्पवन्तौ कर्मवन्तौ वा पृक्षे। अन्ननामैतत् । हविषि निमित्तभूते सति । अनु अधीत्यर्थे । अधि तिष्ठथः आश्रयथः। तादृशो रथो देवयजनं प्रत्यागत इत्यर्थः । अनन्तरं वपुष्या युष्मद्वपुषि हिता शरीरवर्धनी इयं गीः इदानीं क्रियमाणप्रकारा स्तुतिरूपा वाक् वपुः सचताम् । युवां च दिवः द्युलोकस्य आदित्यस्य वा दुहित्रा दुहितृस्थानीयया उषसा उषोदेवतया सचेथे यज्ञं संगच्छेथे। उषस्याश्विनयोः समानकालत्वादिति भावः ॥
“Your easy-rolling car alights upon the earth, where favourable to the sacred rite, you stop for the sake of the (sacrificial) food; may this hymn, promotive of your person nal (welfare), be associated with your forms, and do you unite with the dawn, the daughter of heaven.”
Light rolls your easy chariot faring earthward, what time, for food, ye, full of wisdom, mount it.
May this song, wondrous fair, attend your glory: ye, as ye travel, wait on Dawn Heaven's Daughter.
The smooth-rolling chariot rolls on as it goes toward earth, when you stand on it, resolved to fortify (us).
Let this hymn here accompany the wonder with wonderment; you keep company with Dawn, the Daughter of Heaven.
Leichtrollend eilt der Wagen auf die Erde, wenn starke ihr zum Opfer hin ihn lenket, Bewundernd strebe eurer Pracht dies Lied zu; ihr eint euch mit des Himmels Tochter, Uschas.
Leicht rollt euer Wagen, wenn er zur Erde kommt, wenn ihr als umsichtige Lenker hintendrauf steht, um Stärkung zu bringen. Diese Rede soll schaulustig euer Schauspiel begleiten. Ihr seid in Begleitung der Himmelstochter Usas.
Легко катиться колесница, двигаясь по земле,
Когда вы двое стоите в соответствии с (обетом), полные силы духа, чтобы дать подкрепление.

हे अश्विनौ वां युवां सुवृतं शोभनवर्तनं रथम् आ तिष्ठतम् आश्रयतम् । यो रथः हविष्मान् । षष्ठ्यर्थे प्रथमा । हविष्मतो यजमानस्य व्रतानि कर्माणि अनु वर्तते । यद्वा । यजमानाय दत्तहविषा तद्वान् । येन च रथेन हे नरा नेतारौ वा हे नासत्या असत्यरहितौ युवाम् इषयध्यै यज्ञं प्राप्तुमिच्छतमिति शेषः । तेन रथेन वर्तिः । गृहनामैतत् । यजमानस्य यज्ञगृहं तनयाय पुत्रलाभाय त्मने आत्मने आत्महिताय च याथः ॥
“Ascend your rolling car, which approaches the sacred rite of the offerer of the oblation; the car in which, Nāsatyas, leaders, you purpose to come to the sacrifice, and proceed to the dwelling (of the worshipper), for (bestowing upon him) offspring, and for his own (good).”
Ascend your lightly rolling car, approaching the worshipper who turns him to his duties,--
Whereon ye come unto the house to quicken man and his offspring, O Nasatyas, Heroes.
Mount your smooth-rolling chariot, the one providing the oblations that rolls on according to your commandments,
by which you two, o Nāsatyas, superior men, drive your circuit for our descendants and ourselves to prosper.
Besteiget euren leichtbewegten Wagen, der trankgefüllt auf euren Wink dahinrollt, Auf dem, o treue Männer, zur Erquickung für uns und unsre Kinder ihr ins Haus kommt.
Besteiget euren leichtrollenden Wagen, während der Opfernde seinen Gelübden nachkommt, auf dem ihr Herren Nasatya´s eure Umfahrt macht, um unserer Nachkommenschaft und unserer eigenen Person Labung zu spenden!

Катится в соответствии с обетами полная жертвенной пищи,
(Колесница,) на которой вы, о два мужа, о Насатьи, для услады
Совершаете обьезд – ради потомства и (нас) самих.

मा । वा॒म् । वृकः॑ । मा । वृ॒कीः । आ । द॒ध॒र्षी॒त् । मा । परि॑ । व॒र्क्त॒म् । उ॒त । मा । अति॑ । ध॒क्त॒म् । अ॒यम् । वा॒म् । भा॒गः । निऽहि॑तः । इ॒यम् । गीः । दस्रौ॑ । इ॒मे । वा॒म् । नि॒ऽधयः॑ । मधू॑नाम् ॥
हे दस्रौ शत्रूणामुपक्षपयितारावश्विनौ वां युवयोः अनुग्रहादिति शेषः । वृकः हिंसकः अरण्यश्वादिः मा दधर्षीत् माम् । तथा वृकीः वृक्यो हिंसिका अन्य अपि मा दधर्षीत् ॥ वचनव्यत्ययः ॥ धर्षणं मा कार्षुः । युवामेव वा मा दधर्षीदिति योज्यम् । तथा युवां मा परि वर्क्त परितो मा वर्जयतं माम् । उत अपि च माति धक्तम् अस्मानतिक्रम्य अन्यस्मै मा दत्तम् । किमर्थमेवमिति उच्यते । वां युवयोरर्थाय अयं भागः भजनीयो हविरंशः निहितः। तथा इयं च गीः स्तुतिरूपा वागपि निहितेति शेषः । हे दस्रावश्विनौ वां युवाभ्याम् इमे इमानि मधूनां सोमरसानां निधयः निधानानि स्थापितानि ॥
“Let not the wolf, let not the she-wolf, harm me safe (in your protection); abandon me not, nor deliver me (to another). This your share (of the offering) is prepared; this prayer, Dasras, (is addressed) to you; these treasures of Soma are for you.”
Let not the wolf, let not the she-wolf harm you. Forsake me not, nor pass me by or others.
Here stands your share, here is your hymn, ye Mighty: yours are these vessels, full of pleasant juices.
Let neither the wolf nor the she-wolf venture against you. Do not avoid (us) nor pass (us) by.
Here is the portion deposited for you, here the hymn, o wondrous ones, and here the deposits of honey for you.
Nicht möge Wolf noch Wölfin euch verletzen, nicht weichet aus, nicht geht an mir vorüber; Hier steht eur Antheil, hier ertönt das Lied euch, hier stehn für euch die Meth-gefüllten Schalen.
Nicht soll der Wolf, nicht die Wölfin euch angreifen. Meidet uns nicht und bleibt nicht aus! Dieser Anteil ist für euch aufgetischt, dieses Loblied; diese Auftischungen von Süßtränken sind für euch, ihr Meister.

О чудесные, вот вам подношения медовых напитков.

हे दस्रा दस्रावश्विनौ युवां गोतमः च पुरुमीळ्हः च अत्रिः च महर्षयश्च एतेषु एकैकः हविमान् सन् अवसे रक्षणाय युष्मत्तर्पणाय वा हवते आह्वयति । एवमहमप्याह्वयामि । फलसाधनाह्वाने दृष्टान्तः। यन्ता उपगन्ता उपगन्तुकामः ऋजूयेव ॥ द्वितीयाया अकारः ॥ ऋजुगामिनं मार्गज्ञं दिष्टां दिशं न गन्तव्यामभिमतां दिशं प्रति यथा तथा वामपि । यथा अध्वगामी स्वगन्तव्यस्य शीघ्रगमनाय मार्गज्ञमृजुगामिनमाह्वयति तद्वत् । यद्वा । ऋजूयेव । इवशब्द एवार्थे । गन्ता ऋजुनैव मार्गेण इष्टां दिशमिव तथा युष्मत्प्रीणनेन मार्गेण स्वाभिमतं फलं प्राप्नोति । हे नासत्यावश्विनौ मे मम हवम् आह्वानमालक्ष्य उप यातम् उपगच्छतम् ॥
“Gotama, Purimiḷha, Atri, (each) offering oblations, invokes you for his protection; like unto a wayfarer, who (makes for his intended direction) by a straight (path) do you, Dasras, come (direct) to my invocation).”
Gotama, Purumilha, Atri bringing oblations all invoke you for protection.
Like one who goes straight to the point directed, ye Nasatyas, to mine invocation.
Gotama, Purumīḍha, Atri—(each one), providing the oblations,
summons you two for help, o wondrous ones.
Like those going in a straight line to the directed direction, drive here to my summons, o Nāsatyas.
Wie Gotama, wie Purumidha, Atri, ruft, mächt'ge, euch der Opferer zu Hülfe, Geht grade aus wie nach gezeigter Richtung, und kommt herbei auf meinen Ruf, o treue!
Euch rief Gotama, Purumilha, Atri, euch, ihr Meister, ruft der Opfernde zu Hilfe. Wie zwei, die die gewiesene Richtung, die den richtigen Weg gehen, so kommet auf meinen Ruf her, o Nasatya´s!

हे अश्विनौ युवयोः प्रसादात् अस्य तमसः तमनहेतोः श्रेयःप्रतिबन्धरूपस्य दुःखस्य पारं पर्यन्तभूमिम् अतारिष्म उत्तीर्णाः स्मः । हे अश्विनौ वां प्रति स्तोमः स्तोत्रम् अधायि अकारीत्यर्थः । युवां देवयानैः देवगन्तव्यैर्मार्गैः इह अस्मद्यज्ञे आ यातम् आगच्छतम् । शिष्टो व्याख्यातः ॥ ॥ २९ ॥
“(Through your aid) Aśvins, we cross over this (limit of) darkness; to you this (our) hymn has been addressed; come hither by the paths traversed by the gods, that we may obtain food, and strength, and long life.”
We have passed o'er the limit of this darkness: our praise hath been bestowed on you, O Asvins.
Come hitherward by paths which Gods have travelled. May we find strengthening food in full abundance.
We have crossed to the further shore of this darkness. A praise hymn has been set out in response to you, o Aśvins.
Drive just here along the paths leading to the gods. – May we know
refreshment and a community having lively waters.
Durch dieses Dunkel sind wir durchgedrungen und haben Loblied euch gebracht, o Ritter, So kommt denn her auf gottbetretnen Pfaden. – Gebt Labung uns und wasserreiche Fluren.
Wir sind ans Ende dieser Finsternis gelangt. An euch, Asvin, ist das Loblied gerichtet. Kommt auf den gottbegangenen Wege hierher! - Wir möchten einen gastfreien Opferbündler kennen lernen, der rasch schenkt.
