सु॒ष्वा॒णास॑ इन्द्र स्तु॒मसि॑ त्वा सस॒वांस॑श्च तुविनृम्ण॒ वाज॑म् । आ नो॑ भर सुवि॒तं यस्य॑ चा॒कन्त्मना॒ तना॑ सनुयाम॒ त्वोता॑: ॥
सु॒स्वा॒नासः॑ । इ॒न्द्र॒ । स्तु॒मसि॑ । त्वा॒ । स॒स॒ऽवांसः॑ । च॒ । तु॒वि॒ऽनृ॒म्ण॒ । वाज॑म् । आ । नः॒ । भ॒र॒ । सु॒वि॒तम् । यस्य॑ । चा॒कन् । त्मना॑ । तना॑ । स॒नु॒या॒म॒ । त्वाऽऊ॑ताः ॥
हे इन्द्र सुष्वाणासः सोममभिषुतवन्तो वयं त्वां स्तुमसि स्तुमः । हे तुविनृम्ण बहुबल बहुधन वा वाजं चरुपुरोडाशादिलक्षणमन्नं ससवांसः संभक्तवन्तः च वयं त्वां स्तुमः । यत एवमतो हेतोः नः अस्मभ्यं सुवितं सुष्ठु प्राप्तव्यं शोभनं धनम् आ भर आहर प्रयच्छ । यस्य यद्धनमतिप्रियत्वेन चाकन् त्वं कामयसे तद्धनमा भरेत्यर्थः । वयं च त्वोताः त्वया रक्षिताः सन्तः तना । धननामैतत् । विस्तृतानि धनानि त्मना आत्मना स्वयमेवान्यनैरपेक्ष्येणैव सनुयाम तव प्रसादाल्लभेमहि ॥
“Having poured out the libation, we praise you, Indra; having presented the sacrificial food, we (praiseyou), granter of abundant wealth; bring us the wealth which one longs for; protected by you may we acquireriches through yourself alone.”
WHEN we have pressed the juice we laud thee, Indra, and when, Most Valorous we have won the booty.
Bring us prosperity, as each desires it under thine own protection may we conquer.
After having pressed soma we praise you, Indra, and also after having won the prize, you powerfully manly one.
Bring us well-being (for him) in whom you take pleasure. Through
ourselves and our lineage may we win, aided by you.
Wir preisen dich, o Indra, kräftereicher! nachdem gekeltert wir und Gut erbeutet, Bring Reichthum uns, an dem du dich erlabest, theil du ihn zu für uns und unsre Kinder.
Nachdem wir Soma ausgepreßt haben, preisen wir dich, Indra, und nachdem wir den Siegerpreis gewonnen haben, o Mannesmutiger. Bring uns das Glück, dessen du dich erfreuest! Selbst wollen wir dauernd mit deiner Hilfe Gewinn haben.
Выжав (сому), о Индра, мы восхваляем тебя,
И захватив добычу (тоже), о очень мужественный.
Принеси нам удачу, которой ты порадуешься!
Сами мы хотим постоянно захватывать с твоей помощью.
ऋ॒ष्वस्त्वमि॑न्द्र शूर जा॒तो दासी॒र्विश॒: सूर्ये॑ण सह्याः । गुहा॑ हि॒तं गुह्यं॑ गू॒ळ्हम॒प्सु बि॑भृ॒मसि॑ प्र॒स्रव॑णे॒ न सोम॑म् ॥
ऋ॒ष्वः । त्वम् । इ॒न्द्र॒ । शू॒र॒ । जा॒तः । दासीः॑ । विशः॑ । सूर्ये॑ण । स॒ह्याः॒ । गुहा॑ । हि॒तम् । गुह्य॑म् । गू॒ळ्हम् । अ॒प्ऽसु । बि॒भृ॒मसि॑ । प्र॒ऽस्रव॑णे । न । सोम॑म् ॥
हे शूर शौर्यवान् इन्द्र ऋष्वः महान् दर्शनीयो वा त्वं जातः जातमात्र एव दासीः । उपक्षयकारिणो दासा असुराः । तत्संबन्धिनीः विशः प्रजाः सूर्येण सूर्यात्मना सह्याः अभ्यभवः । तथा गुहा गुहायां हितं निहितमत एव गुह्यम् अदृश्यं वलाख्यमसुरम् अप्सु उदकेषु गूढं निगूढं कुयवाख्यं च त्वमभिभूतवानसि । वयमपि प्रस्रवणे प्रवर्षणे सति । नः संप्रत्यर्थे । संप्रति सोमं बिभृमसि त्वदर्थं बिभृमः धारयामः ॥
“Hero Indra, who are mighty, may you as soon as you are born overcome with Sūrya the races of theDāsas, and the fugitive (Vala) lurking in secrecy, hidden in the waters; we now present to you the Soma in acopious stream. your praisers; may we be of those who gratify (you) with Soma libations; to you, O car-borne indra, these(praises are offered) with sacrificial viands.”
Sublime from birth, mayst thou O Indra, Hero, with Surya overcome the Dasa races.
As by a fountain's side, we bring the Soma that lay concealed, close-hidden in the waters.
Lofty were you when you were just born, o champion Indra. Along with the sun, you should overcome the Dāsa clans,
(as you did) the one placed in hiding, fit to be hidden, hidden in the
waters [=Vr̥tra]. We offer soma as if in a gushing (stream).
Erhaben bist, Held Indra, du geboren, bezwing die Feindesstämme mit der Sonne, Wir bringen dir den Soma wie im Strome, ihn, der geheim versteckt lag in den Wassern.
Du, Held Indra, als Recke geboren, mögest mit der Sonne die dasischen Stämme überwinden. Den im Versteck befindlichen, sich versteckenden, im Wasser versteckten Soma bringen wir dir, wie an der Quelle sitzend.

Пусть осилишь ты вместе с Сурьей дасовы племена!

अ॒र्यः । वा॒ । गिरः॑ । अ॒भि । अ॒र्च॒ । वि॒द्वान् । ऋषी॑णाम् । विप्रः॑ । सु॒ऽम॒तिम् । च॒का॒नः । ते । स्या॒म॒ । ये । र॒णय॑न्त । सोमैः॑ । ए॒ना । उ॒त । तुभ्य॑म् । र॒थ॒ऽओ॒ळ्ह॒ । भ॒क्षैः ॥
विप्रः मेधावी ऋषीणां मन्त्रदर्शिनां सुमतिं सुष्टुतिं चकानः कामयमानः विद्वान् जानन् अर्यो वा स्वामी च भवन् हे इन्द्र ईदृशस्त्वं गिरः स्तोतॄन् स्तुतीर्वा अभ्यर्च । सम्यक्स्तुतमित्यभिपूजय । अपि च ते वयं स्याम सर्वदा भवेम ये सोमैः त्वां रणयन्त रमयन्ति । उत अपि च हे रथोळ्ह रथैरभ्युह्यमान ॥आ ऊढ ओढः । रथेन ओढो रथोढः । ओमाङोश्च' (पा. सू. ६. १. ९५ ) इति पररूपम् ॥ ईदृशेन्द्र भक्षैः भक्षणीयैश्चरुपुरोडाशादिभिः सार्धम् एना इमानि स्तोत्राणि तुभ्यं त्वदर्थं क्रियन्ते ॥
Answer the votary's hymns, for these thou knowest, craving the Rsis' prayer, thyself a Singer
May we be they who take delight in Somas: these with sweet food for thee, O Chariot-rider.
Or, (Indra,) chant in response to the hymns of the stranger—as the wise one, inspired poet among the seers, taking pleasure in good thinking. May we be the ones who find enjoyment by means of the soma drinks— through this and through the portions for you, who are conveyed on a chariot.1634 X.149
Stimm kundig ein als Sänger in die Lieder des Frommen, der du liebst die Gunst der Dichter; Wir sein es, die durch Soma Lust dir schaffen und durch Genüsse auch, o Wagenfahrer.
Oder stimme als Kenner in das Lob des hohen Herrn ein, der du als Redekundiger das Wohlwollen der Rishi´s gern hast! Wir möchten die sein, welche sich also der Somatränke erfreuen und der für dich bereiteten Speisen, du Wagenfahrender!
Или уважь хвалебные песни благочестивого как знаток,
Любящий прекрасную молитву риши, (сам) вдохновенный!
Мы хоти быть теми, кто радуется сокам сомы,
А также (приготовленным) тебе яствам, о ездок на колеснице!
इ॒मा ब्रह्मे॑न्द्र॒ तुभ्यं॑ शंसि॒ दा नृभ्यो॑ नृ॒णां शू॑र॒ शव॑: । तेभि॑र्भव॒ सक्र॑तु॒र्येषु॑ चा॒कन्नु॒त त्रा॑यस्व गृण॒त उ॒त स्तीन् ॥
इ॒मा । ब्रह्म॑ । इ॒न्द्र॒ । तुभ्य॑म् । शं॒सि॒ । दाः । नृऽभ्यः॑ । नृ॒णाम् । शू॒र॒ । शवः॑ । तेभिः॑ । भ॒व॒ । सऽक्र॑तुः । येषु॑ । चा॒कन् । उ॒त । त्रा॒य॒स्व॒ । गृ॒ण॒तः । उ॒त । स्तीन् ॥
हे इन्द्र त्वदर्थम् इमा इमानि पुरोवर्तीनि ब्रह्म ब्रह्माणि परिवृढानि स्तोत्राणि शंसि अशंसिषत । शस्यन्ते । शंसेश्छान्दसे कर्मणि लुङि व्यत्ययेनैकवचनम्। हे शूर शौर्यवन्निन्द्र त्वं नृणां मनुष्याणां मध्ये नृभ्यः स्तुत्यादेः नेतृभ्यः शवः बलं दाः देहि । अपि च तेभिः तैः सक्रतुः समानकर्मा समानप्रज्ञो वा भव येषु स्तोतृषु चाकन् हविरादि कामयसे ॥ ‘कन दीप्तिकान्तिगतिषु' । अस्माद्यङ्लुगन्ताच्छान्दसे लङि सिपि रूपमेतत् । कमेर्वा पूर्ववत् । सिपि ‘मो नो धातोः' इति नत्वम् ॥ उत अपि च गृणतः स्तोतॄन त्रायस्व पालय । उत अपि च स्तीन् । स्त्यायतेरेतद्रूपम् । संघीभूय स्थितान् यजमानानपि त्रायस्व ॥
“To you, Indra, have these prayers been addressed grant, O hero, strength to the leaders of men; be ofone mind with those in whom you delight, and protect those who praise you, and the worshippers who standround about.”
These holy prayers, O Indra, have I sung thee: grant to the men the strength of men, thou Hero.
Be of one mind with those in whom thou joyest: keep thou the singers safe and their companions.
These sacred formulations here have been recited to you, Indra. Give the might of men to men, o champion.
Be of the same resolve with those in whom you take pleasure. And
protect the singers and their people.
Ich habe diese Lieder dir gesungen, o gib, Held Indra, Männerkraft den Männern; Sei eines Sinns mit denen, die der lieb sind, und nimm in Schutz die Sänger und was ihr ist.
Diese erbaulichen Reden sind für dich, Indra, gesprochen; gib den Männern der Männer Stärke, o Held! Sei mit denen eines Sinnes, an denen du Gefallen findest und beschirme die Sänger und ihre Angehörigen!

Дай мужам силу мужей, о герой!
Будь единодушным с теми, в ком находишь удовольствие,

हे शूर इन्द्र पृथ्याः पृथोर्ऋषेर्मम हवम् आह्वानं श्रुधि शृणु । उत अपि च वेन्यस्य वेनपुत्रस्य मम अर्कैः मन्त्रैः स्तवसे स्तूयसे । यकि प्राप्ते व्यत्ययेन शप् । यः स्तोता घृतवन्तम् उदकवन्तं ते तव योनिं निवासभूमिम् आ अस्वाः अभ्यस्वार्षीत् अभ्यष्टौत् ॥ ‘ स्वृ शब्दोपतापयोः' । अस्माल्लुङि तिपि ‘ बहुलं छन्दसि' इतीडभावे हल्याः दिलोपे च रात्सस्य इति सलोपः॥ यद्वा । घृतवन्तमाज्यादिना हविषोपेतं योनिम्। गृहनामैतत् । यज्ञगृहं प्राप्य ते त्वां योऽभिष्टौति तस्य वेन्यस्य अर्कैरित्यन्वयः। अपि च वक्वाः वक्वानः । वचेः ‘अन्येभ्योऽपि दृश्यन्ते' इति वनिप् । अन्त्यविकारश्छान्दसः । जसि पृषोदरादित्वाद्वर्णलोपः । अन्येऽपि सर्वे स्तोतारः निम्नैः प्रवणैर्मार्गैः ऊर्मिर्न उदकसंघ इव द्रवयन्त । स्तुतिभिस्त्वामेवाभिद्रवन्ति अभिगच्छन्ति ॥ ॥६॥
“Hear, hero Indra, the invocation of Pṛthu; you are glorified by the praises of the son of Vena, whocelebrated your hall of sacrifice, full of ghī; your praisers rush to you like a torrent through precipitous banks.”
Listen to Prthi's call, heroic Indra, and be thou lauded by the hymns of Venya,
Him who hath sung thee to thine oil-rich dwelling, whose rolling songs have sped thee like a torrent.
Hear the call from Pr̥thī, o champion Indra, and you will be praised by the chants of Venya,
who has roared toward your ghee-filled womb. Like a wave along the depths, (his chants) run (there) billowing.
Du, Indra, hör, o Held, den Ruf des Prithi und lass dich preisen durch des Freundes Lieder; Der Welle gleich, die in den reichen Schooss dir hernieder rauschte, eilten die Gesänge.
Erhö re, Held Indra, den Ruf des Prithi; du wirst ja besungen durch des Venya Preislieder, der deinen schmalzigen Sitz angesungen hat. Wie die Welle zu Tal, so wollen deine galoppierenden Rosse laufen.
Услышь призыв Притхи, о Индра-герой!
Ты ж восхваляешься песнями Веньи.
Кто звучанием приблизился к твоему лону, полному жира.
Подобно волне через низины, мчались бурные (мелодии).
