तुभ्ये॒दमि॑न्द्र॒ परि॑ षिच्यते॒ मधु॒ त्वं सु॒तस्य॑ क॒लश॑स्य राजसि । त्वं र॒यिं पु॑रु॒वीरा॑मु नस्कृधि॒ त्वं तप॑: परि॒तप्या॑जय॒: स्व॑: ॥
तुभ्य॑ । इ॒दम् । इ॒न्द्र॒ । परि॑ । सि॒च्य॒ते॒ । मधु॑ । त्वम् । सु॒तस्य॑ । क॒लश॑स्य । रा॒ज॒सि॒ । त्वम् । र॒यिम् । पु॒रु॒ऽवीरा॑म् । ऊँ॒ इति॑ । नः॒ । कृ॒धि॒ । त्वम् । तपः॑ । प॒रि॒ऽतप्य॑ । अ॒ज॒यः॒ । स्वरिति॑ स्वः॑ ॥
हे इन्द्र इदं मधु सोमलक्षणं तुभ्यं त्वदर्थं परि षिच्यते आहवनीये प्रक्षिप्यते । त्वम् एव सुतस्य अभिषुतस्य कलशस्य द्रोणकलशावस्थितस्य सोमस्य राजसि ईशिषे । राजतिरैश्वर्यकर्मा । सः त्वं नः अस्माकं पुरुवीरां बहुपुत्रं रयिं धनं कृधि कुरु । उशब्दः पूरकः । यद्वा अवधारणे । बहुपुत्रोपेतमेव धनं कुरु न केवलमित्यर्थः। तथा त्वं तपः शतसंख्याश्वमेधलक्षणं परितप्य अनुष्ठाय स्वः स्वर्गम् अजयः जितवानसि ॥
“For you, Indra, is this Soma poured forth, you rule over the effused (Soma of) the jar; do you bestowupon us riches with numerous sons, you did win heaven, performing arduous penance.”
THIS pleasant meath, O Indra, is effused for thee: thou art the ruling Lord of beaker and of juice.
Bestow upon us wealth with many hero sons: thou, having glowed with Fervour, wortnest heavenly light.
This honey is poured around for you, Indra: you rule over the tub of pressed soma.
Make for us wealth consisting of many heroes. Having heated up your heat all around, you conquered the sun.
Dir, Indra, wird der süsse Trank ergossen nun, du bist der Herr des Bechers und des Somatrunks; Verschaffe du uns vieler Helden reiche Schar; die Glut anschürend hast den Himmel du erstürmt.
Dir, Indra, wird dieser Süßtrank eingeschenkt, du bist der Herr des ausgepreßten Bechers. Schaffe du uns einen Schatz von vielen Söhnen, du hast nach heißem Bemühen die Sonne ersiegt.

स्वः॒ऽजित॑म् । महि॑ । म॒न्दा॒नम् । अन्ध॑सः । हवा॑महे । परि॑ । श॒क्रम् । सु॒तान् । उप॑ । इ॒मम् । नः॒ । य॒ज्ञम् । इ॒ह । बो॒धि॒ । आ । ग॒हि॒ । स्पृधः॑ । जय॑न्तम् । म॒घऽवा॑नम् । ई॒म॒हे॒ ॥
स्वर्जितम् उक्तप्रकारेण स्वर्गस्य जेतारं महि महान्तम् अन्धसः अन्नस्य सोमस्य पानेन मन्दानं मोदमानं हृष्यन्तं शक्रं सर्वकार्येषु शक्तमिन्द्रं सुतानुप अभिषुतान् सोमान् प्रति परि हवामहे । परित आह्वयामहे । हे इन्द्र इत्थमाहूयमानस्त्वं नः अस्माकम् इमं यज्ञम् इह अस्मिन् देशे बोधि बुध्यस्व । बुद्ध्वा च आ गहि आगच्छ । स्पृधः स्पर्धमानाः शत्रुसेनाः जयन्तम् अभिभवन्तं मघवानं धनवन्तं त्वाम् ईमहे । अपेक्षितानि धनानि याचामहे ॥
“We summon to the libations the mighty Śukra, the conqueror of heaven, exhilarated by sacrificialfood; take notice of this our sacrifice here and come; we solicit (for wealth) Maghavan, victorious over his foes.”
Let us call Sakra to libations here effused, winner of light who joyeth in the potent juice.
Mark well this sacrifice of ours and come to us: we pray to Maghavan the Vanquisher of hosts.
The conqueror of the sun who finds great exhilaration in the soma-stalk do we call here to the pressings—the all-around able one.
Take notice of this sacrifice of ours here. Come here! We beseech the bounteous one who conquers his opponents.
Den Himmelsstürmer, der des Soma's hoch sich freut, den starken rufen zu den Tränken wir herbei; Auf dieses Opfer achte hier und komme her, den mächtigen, den Feindbesieger gehn wir an.
Den Sonnenersieger, der sich an dem Tranke baß berauscht, den Mächtigen laden wir zu den gepreßten Tränken ein. Nimm dieses unser Opfer hier wahr, komm! Wir haben ein Anliegen an den Feindebesieger, den Gabenreichen.
Победившего солнце, мощно опьяняющегося растением,
Могучего мы приглашаем к выжатым (сокам).
Заметь эту нашу жертву, приходи!
Мы просим побеждающего врагов, щедрого.

सोम॑स्य । राज्ञः॑ । वरु॑णस्य । धर्म॑णि । बृह॒स्पतेः॑ । अनु॑ऽमत्याः । ऊँ॒ इति॑ । शर्म॑णि । तव॑ । अ॒हम् । अ॒द्य । म॒घ॒ऽव॒न् । उप॑ऽस्तुतौ । धातः॑ । विऽधा॑त॒रिति॒ विऽधा॑तः । क॒लशा॑न् । अ॒भ॒क्ष॒य॒म् ॥
राज्ञः राजमानस्य सोमस्य वरुणस्य च संबन्धिनि धर्मणि धारके यज्ञे वर्तमानस्तथा बृहस्पतेरनुमत्याः संबन्धिनि शर्मणि शरणे यज्ञगृहे वर्तमानः अहं हे मघवन् इन्द्र तव उप स्तुतौ स्तोत्रे अद्य इदानीं प्रवृत्तोऽस्मि । हे धातः हे एतत्संज्ञक देव हे विधातः एतत्संज्ञक देव युवाभ्यामनुज्ञातः कलशान् कलशस्थान् हुतशिष्टान् सोमान् अभक्षयं भक्षितवानस्मि ॥
“(Engaged) in the worship of the royal Soma and of Varuṇa, (present) in the protecting (dwelling) ofBṛhaspati and Anumati, (I am assiduous) in your praise, Maghavan; Dhātā and Vidhātā, I have fed on thepitcher.”
By royal Soma's and by Varuna's decree, under Brhaspati's and Anumati's guard,
This day by thine authority, O Maghavan, Maker, Disposer thou! have I enjoyed the jars.
Under the ordinance of King Soma and King Varuṇa and under the protection of Br̥haspati and Anumati,
today at our praise invocation of you, bounteous one, I consumed tubs (of soma), you establisher and regulator.
Nach Brauch des Königs Soma und des Varuna, mit Zustimmung und unter Schutz Brihaspati's Hab' heute ich, o mächtiger, bei deinem Preis vertheilt die Becher, Schöpfer und Erhalter, dir.
Nach der Bestimmung des Königs Soma und Varuna, unter der Hut des Brihaspati und der Anumati, bei deinem Lobpreis, du Gabenreicher, du Schöpfer und Lenker, habe ich heute aus den Bechern getrunken.
По установлению царя Сомы (и) Варуны,
Под защитой Брихаспати (и) Анумати,
При твоем восхвалении сегодня, о щедрый,
О Устроитель (и) распределитель, пил я из кувшинов.

प्रऽसू॑तः । भ॒क्षम् । अ॒क॒र॒म् । च॒रौ । अपि॑ । स्तोम॑म् । च॒ । इ॒मम् । प्र॒थ॒मः । सू॒रिः । उत् । मृ॒जे॒ । सु॒ते । सा॒तेन॑ । यदि॑ । आ । अग॑मम् । वा॒म् । प्रति॑ । वि॒श्वा॒मि॒त्र॒ज॒म॒द॒ग्नी॒ इति॑ । दमे॑ ॥
हे इन्द्र प्रसूतः त्वया प्रेरितोऽहं चरौ चरणीये चरुणा वा युक्ते यज्ञे भक्षम् अपि भक्षणीयं चर्वादि हविश्च अकरं त्वदर्थमकार्षम् । प्रथमः मुख्यः सूरिः स्तोताहम् इमं स्तोमं स्तोत्रं च त्वदर्थम् उन्मृजे उन्मार्ज्मि संस्करोमि । उच्चारयामीत्यर्थः । इदानीमिन्द्रः अन्तरात्मरूपः सन् सूक्तस्य द्रष्टारावृषी संबोध्य बूते । हे विश्वामित्रजमदग्नी वां युवां प्रति दमे यज्ञगृहे सुते अभिषुते सोमे सति सातेन संभक्तव्येन धनेन सार्धं यदि यदा यस्मिन् कालेऽहम् आगमम् आगच्छामि तदा युवां स्तोत्रं कुरुतमित्यर्थः ॥ ॥ २५ ॥
“Enjoined by you, I have prepared the food at the (sacrifice) about to be performed, and as chiefworshipper I complete this hymn of praise. (Indra speaks): The Soma being poured out in your respectivedwellings, O Viśvāmitra and Jamadagni, (offer praise) when I come with (the wealth) which I am going todistribute.”
1, too, urged on, have had my portion, in the bowl, and as first Prince I drew forth this my hymn of praise,
When with the prize I came unto the flowing juice, O Visvamitra, Jamadagni, to your home.
[Indra:] Urged on, I have done my own consuming at the vat, and as the foremost patron, I sweep up this praise song,
if at the pressing I have come back to you two, Viśvāmitra and
Jamadagni, in your house with the winnings.
»Begeistert hab' den Trank ich in das Napf gefüllt, und zieh an mich dies Lied als erster Opferherr, Weil ich beim Trank mit Gaben in dem Hause hier, o Viçvamitra, Dschamadagni zu euch kam.«
Aufgefordert habe ich einen Trunk bei vorgesetzter Grütze getan, und als erster Suri bedinge ich mir diesen Lobpreis aus, wenn ich mit Gewinn in euer Haus, o Visvamitra und Jamadagni, zum Soma zurückgekehrt bin.
Побужденный (к этому), я выпил (сомы) наряду с кашей.
И как первый господин я оставляю за собой эту хвалу,
Когда я пришел с добычей в ваш дом,
О Вишвамитра и Джамадагни, к выжатому (соме).
