ऋषिसंवर्तः
देवताउषाः
मन्त्र4
छन्दद्विपदा विराट्
आ या॑हि॒ वन॑सा स॒ह गाव॑: सचन्त वर्त॒निं यदूध॑भिः ॥
आ । या॒हि॒ । वन॑सा । स॒ह । गावः॑ । स॒च॒न्त॒ । वर्त॒निम् । यत् । ऊध॑ऽभिः ॥
हे उषः वनसा वननीयेन तेजसा धनेन वा सार्धम् आ याहि आगच्छ । गावः उषसो वाहनभूताः वर्तनिं रथं सचन्त सेवन्ते । अतस्तेन रथेनायाहीत्यर्थः । यत् या गावः ऊधभिः उपलक्षिताः प्रभूताः । पीना इत्यर्थः । ता गाव इति संबन्धः ॥
“Come, (Uṣas), with the desirable (radiance); let the cows who are of full udders accompany yourchariot.”
WITH all thy beauty come: the kine approaching with full udders follow on thy path.
Drive here along with your longing. The cows follow your track, when (they have given milk) with their udders.
Komm her mit Lust, es folgen ja die Kühe schon mit ihren Eutern deinem Pfad.
Komm her mit deiner Vorliebe! Die Kühe folgen deiner Spur, wann sie mit vollem Euter kommen.
Приходи вместе со (своим) благодеянием –
(С тем) что коровы с (полным) выменем шествуют по (твоему) следу!
आ या॑हि॒ वस्व्या॑ धि॒या मंहि॑ष्ठो जार॒यन्म॑खः सु॒दानु॑भिः ॥
आ । या॒हि॒ । वस्व्या॑ । धि॒या । मंहि॑ष्ठः । जा॒र॒यत्ऽम॑खः । सु॒दानु॑ऽभिः ॥
हे उषः वस्व्या प्रशस्तया धिया अनुग्रहबुद्ध्या कर्मणा स्तुत्या वा सार्धम् आ याहि आगच्छ । स चोषःकालः सुदानुभिः शोभनदानैर्यातृभिः पुरुषैः मंहिष्ठः धनानां दातृतमः अत एव जारयन्मखः समापयद्यज्ञश्च भवति ॥
“Come, (Uṣas), with kindly thoughts; (it is the season) most honoured by the genitive rous, and whichbrings the sacrifice to completion.”
Come with kind thoughts, most liberal, rousing the warrior's hymn of praise, with bounteous ones,
Drive here with good insight, as the most bounteous one, along with those of good gifts, as you awaken the bountiful while aging the combatants.
Mit frohem Sinne komme her; freigiebig naht mit Spendern Dschārajanmakha.
Komm herbei mit gütiger Absicht als der Freigebigste, der die Freigebigen weckt mit den gabenreichen Göttern.
Приходи с добрым намерением,
Как охотнее всех дающий, пробуждающий щедрых вместе с изливающими дары (богами)!
पि॒तु॒भृतो॒ न तन्तु॒मित्सु॒दान॑व॒: प्रति॑ दध्मो॒ यजा॑मसि ॥
पि॒तु॒ऽभृतः॑ । न । तन्तु॑म् । इत् । सु॒ऽदान॑वः । प्रति॑ । द॒ध्मः॒ । यजा॑मसि ॥
पितुभृतो न अन्नस्य भर्तार इव सुदानवः शोभनदाना वयं तन्तुमित् तन्तुं विस्तीर्णमेव प्रति दध्मः। उषसं प्रत्युपायनरूपेण धारयामः । तेन च यज्ञेन तमुषसं यजामसि ।
“Like bearers of food, liberal in our gifts, we spread the thread (of sacrifice before the dawn), andworship (her).”
As nourishers we tie the thread, and, liberal with our bounty, offer sacrifice.
Like those bringing food, having good gifts we lay out the thread (of sacrifice): let us perform sacrifice.
Wie Nahrungbringer legten wir an Gaben reich den Faden an und opfern dir.
Wie Speiseträger gute Gaben bringend nehmen wir den Faden des Opfers wieder auf; wir opfern.
Как приносящие питание, мы, изливающие дары,
Наладили нить (и) приносим жертвы.
उ॒षा अप॒ स्वसु॒स्तम॒: सं व॑र्तयति वर्त॒निं सु॑जा॒तता॑ ॥
उ॒षाः । अप॑ । स्वसुः॑ । तमः॑ । सम् । व॒र्त॒य॒ति॒ । व॒र्त॒निम् । सु॒ऽजा॒तता॑ ॥
इयम् उषाः स्वसुः भगिन्या रात्रेः संबन्धि तमः अन्धकारम् अप सं वर्तयति । आत्मीयेन तेजसापगमयति । सुजातता सुजातत्वमात्मनः सुप्रजातत्वं च वर्तनिं रथं प्रापयति॥॥३०॥
“Uṣas drives away the darkness of her sister (night); her genitive rative benevolence (harnesses) herchariot.”
Dawn drives away her Sister's gloom, and, through her excellence, makes her retrace her path.
Dawn (rolls) out of the way the darkness of her sister (Night), rolls her track up in a ball, because she has been well born (just now).
Die Morgenröthe treibt hinweg der Schwester Dunkel auf den Weg mit edlem Sinn.
Usas rollt das Dunkel der Schwester fort, sie rollt deren Bahn zusammen, weil sie die Edelgeborene ist.
Ушас мрак (своей) сестры (прогоняет) прочь.
Она свертывает ее след, потому что (сама) прекраснорожденная.
