प्र ते॑ म॒हे वि॒दथे॑ शंसिषं॒ हरी॒ प्र ते॑ वन्वे व॒नुषो॑ हर्य॒तं मद॑म् । घृ॒तं न यो हरि॑भि॒श्चारु॒ सेच॑त॒ आ त्वा॑ विशन्तु॒ हरि॑वर्पसं॒ गिर॑: ॥
प्र । ते॒ । म॒हे । वि॒दथे॑ श॒म्सि॒ष॒म् । हरी॒ इति॑ । प्र । ते॒ । व॒न्वे॒ । व॒नुषः॑ । ह॒र्य॒तम् । मद॑म् । घृ॒तम् । न । यः । हरि॑ऽभिः । चारु॑ । सेच॑त । आ । त्वा॒ । वि॒श॒न्तु॒ । हरि॑ऽवर्पसम् । गिरः॑ ॥
हे इन्द्र ते तव हरी अश्वौ महे महति विदथे यज्ञे प्र शंसिषम् अशंसिषम् । अस्ताविषम्। तथा वनुषः । वनु हिंसायाम्' । हिंसकस्य ते तव हर्यतम् । ‘हर्य गतिकान्त्योः ' । तस्यौणादिकोऽतच् । चित्स्वरेणान्तोदात्तः । कमनीयं मदं प्र वन्वे प्रयाचेऽस्मदभिमतम् ।' वनु याचने'। यः इन्द्रः हरिभिः हरितवर्णैरश्वैः मद्यागं गत्वा चारु चरणीयं घृतं न घृतमिव सुपूतमुदकं सेचते वर्षति तं तादृशं हरिवर्पसम्। वर्प इति रूपनाम । हरितरूपं त्वा त्वाम् आ विशन्तु गिरः अस्मदीयाः स्तुतिवाचस्तव मदाय ॥
“I glorified your bay horses, Indra, at the great sacrifice. I solicit the agreeable exhilaration of you, thedestroyer. May my praises attain to you, whose form is yellow, who, with your horses, shower (water) likebeautiful butter.”
In the great synod will I laud thy two Bay Steeds: I prize the sweet strong drink of thee the Warrior-God,
His who pours lovely oil as 'twere with yellow drops. Let my songs enter thee whose form hath golden tints.
I proclaim your two golden (horses) at the great rite of distribution. I prevail over the gladdening, exhilarating drink for you who are eager for it,
the drink which, like ghee, drips with golden (drops). Let the songs enter you, whose form is golden.
Dein goldnes Rosspaar preis' ich nun beim grossen Fest, und rühme deinen holden Trank, des kämpfenden, Der schöner Butter gleich in goldnen Tropfen fliesst, in dich den goldnen schönen dring' der Liederklang,
Ich will in großer Opferrede dein Falbenpaar preisen. Ich habe Gewinn von deinem Rauschtrank, der dir, dem Eifrigen, lieb ist, der schön wie Schmalz mit dem goldgelben Somatropfen eingegossen wird. Dir, dem Goldgestaltigen, sollen die Lobesworte zu Herzen gehen.
На большой жертвенной раздаче я хочу восхвалить пару твоих буланых коней.
Я ценю пьянящий напиток, желанный для тебя, ревностного,
(Тот) чарующий, который льется, как жир, золотистыми (каплями).

ये पूर्वे स्तोतार ऋषयो योनिमिन्द्रस्य स्थानभूतं हरिमश्वमभिसमस्वरन्। स्वृ शब्दोपतापयोः। अभिसंस्तुवन्ति। किं कुर्वन्तः। दिव्यं देवसम्बन्धि सदो यागगृहं यथा प्रेरयन्तीन्द्रं तथा हरी अश्वौ हिन्वन्तः प्रेरयन्तः। सोमेऽभिषुते सति स्वयमेवेन्द्रो रथेऽश्वौ प्रेरयति अतः सोतॄणां हरिप्रेरणत्वम्। यद्वा। दिव्यं सद इन्द्रः प्राप्नुयाद्यथा तथा हरी स्तुतिभिर्हिन्वन्तः प्रेरयन्तः। यमिन्द्रं धेनवो नवप्रसुतिका गावो यथा पृणन्ति क्षीरादिभिः। अत्र पुरस्तादुपचारोऽपि नकार उपमार्थीयः। हरिभिर्हरितवर्णैः सोमैरापृणन्ति पुरयन्ति च। तथा यूयमपीन्द्रायेन्द्रस्य हरिवन्तं शूषं बलमर्चत। पूजयत हे स्तोतारः स्तुतिभिः॥२॥
“You, who have praised the horse, the seat of Indra, urging the horses so that (Indra may reach) thedivine assembly, do you worship the horse- possessing might of Indra, whom men delight with the golden-tintedSoma as kine (with their milk).”
Ye who in concert sing unto the goldhued place, like Bay Steeds driving onward to the heavenly seat,
For Indra laud ye strength allied with Tawny Steeds, laud him whom cows content as 'twere with yellow drops.
For those who have cried out together toward the golden womb are the ones spurring on the two golden (horses) toward it as toward a
heavenly seat.
(To him) whom they fill with golden (soma drops) as milk-cows do
with golden (drops of ghee)—to Indra chant a fortifying (hymn),
accompanied by golden (soma).
Die im Verein hinrauschen zu dem goldnen Schooss, die goldnen Rosse spornend wie zum Himmelssitz; Dem Indra, den der Saft mit goldnen Tropfen füllt, ihm singt ein kräftig Lied vom goldnen Somatrunk.
Da sie ja im Chore den goldgelben Schoß besungen haben wie den himmlischen Sitz, indem sie das Falbenpaar zur Eile treiben, und sie ihn wie Milchkühe mit den goldgelben Tropfen anfüllen, so singet dem Indra ein stärkendes Lied, das vom goldgelben Soma begleitet ist!

अस्येन्द्रस्य स वज्रो हरितो हरितवर्णो य आयसोऽयः सारभूतोऽस्तिनिर्मितः। स च हरिर्हरितवर्णो वज्रो निकामो नितरां कमनीयः। स आ हन्ता शत्रूणाम्। तादृशो वज्रो गभस्त्योर्हस्तयोर्वर्तत इति शेषः। अयमिन्द्रो द्युम्नी। द्युम्नन्द्योतमानं धनम्। तद्वान् सुशिप्रः शोभनहनुर्हरिमन्युसायकः। यस्य मन्युः सायकः शत्रुहन्ताभिगन्ता वा भवति। यद्वा। शत्रुहन्ता कोपः सायकश्च यस्य स तादृशो भवति। किं बहुना। इन्द्रे। रूपा रुपाणि हरिता हरितानि नि मिमिक्षिरे। निशिक्तानि बभूवुः। मिहेः सनन्तात्कर्मणी लिटि रूपम्॥३॥
“That is his thunderbolt, yellow, made of iron, the destroyer (of foes), desirable, the destroyer (of foes),it is in his hands; he is) possessed of riches, handsome jawed, possessed of a shaft and anger which deestroys(his foes)-- many golden-tinted forms are mixed in Indra.”
His is that thunderbolt, of iron, goldenhued, gold-coloured, very dear, and yellow in his arms;
Bright with strong teeth, destroying with its tawny rage. In Indra are set fast all forms of golden hue.
This is his gold-colored mace, which is made of metal. The golden (mace/ soma) is eager; the golden one is in his two fists.
Brilliant and fair-lipped is he who has as the missile of his battle fury the golden (mace/soma). The golden forms are fixed fast in Indra.
Goldfarben ist des Indra Blitz, der eherne, der holde goldne glänzt wie Gold in seinem Arm, Mit schönem Helm und goldner Zornwehr leuchtet er; an Indra funkelt goldne Farbenpracht herab.
Dies ist seine goldgelbe Keule, die ehern ist; die goldgelbe ist ihm zugetan, die goldgelbe ist in seinen Händen. Er ist glänzend, mit schönen Zahnreihen; sein Ingrimm und sein Geschoß ist der goldgelbe Soma. An Indra haften die goldgelben Farben.

दिव्यन्तरिक्षे केतुः प्रकाशेन सर्वस्य प्रज्ञापक आदित्य इव स यथाधि निहितः एवमयमिन्द्रोऽधि धायि। अध्यधायि। स्तोतृभिरधि निहितः। किञ्चेन्द्रस्य वज्रो हर्यतः स्पृहणीयः सन् विव्यचत्। व्याप्नोति वाप्तव्यं शत्रुसङ्घम्। तत्र दृष्टान्तः। हरितो न हरितवर्ना अध्वाहर्तारो वाश्वा आदित्यसम्बन्धिनः। ते यथा रंह्या रंहणेन वेगेन व्याप्नुवन्ति व्याप्तव्यम्। योऽस्य वज्र आयसोऽयोविकारोऽहिं वृत्रं मेघं वा तुदत् हिनस्ति। योऽयं महानुभावो हरिशिप्रः सोमपानरभसेन हरितवर्णसासिकस्तद्वर्णहनुर्वा हरिम्भरो हर्योर्भर्तेन्द्रः सहस्रोशोका अभवत्॥ शुच दीप्तौ। अपरिमितदीप्तिर्भवति॥४॥
“He has been plural ced (by his worshippers) in the sky, like the banner (of light, the sun). His desirablebolt reaches (the foe) as the bay horses (of the sun reach their aim) through speed. The iron (thunderbolt), withyellow jaws, which smote Ahi, (he, Indra), lord of horses, shone with a thousand lustres.”
As if a lovely ray were laid upon the sky, the golden thunderbolt spread out as in a race.
That iron bolt with yellow jaw smote Ahi down. A thousand flames had he who bore the tawny-hued.
Like the beacon in heaven [=sun], the gladdening (mace) has been set in place; the (golden) mace will take wide compass like a golden
(racehorse) with its charge.
The golden-lipped (mace), which is made of metal, thrust against the serpent. The bearer of the golden (mace) became thousand-flamed.
Wie Licht am Himmel lag auf ihm der holde Blitz; der goldne streckte weit sich aus in schnellem Lauf; Den Drachen schlug der eherne in Gold gefasst, und tausend Flammen sprüht er, der den goldnen trägt.
Wie das Wahrzeichen am Himmel ist die geliebte Keule in seine Hand gelegt; die Keule hat Platz wie der goldgelbe Renner bei seinem Anlauf. Er durchstieß den Drachen, der goldzahnige, der der eherne ist. Tausendflammig ward der Träger der goldgelben Keule.
Как знак на небе, желанная (ваджра) вложена (в руки).
Ваджра покрывает (расстояние), как буланый (скакун) при забеге.
(Тот,) который железный, с золотистыми усами, пронзил змея.
Тысячепламенным стал носитель золотистой (ваджры).

त्वम्ऽत्व॑म् । अ॒ह॒र्य॒थाः॒ । उप॑ऽस्तुतः । पूर्वे॑भिः । इ॒न्द्र॒ । ह॒रि॒ऽके॒श॒ । यज्व॑ऽभिः । त्वम् । ह॒र्य॒सि॒ । तव॑ । विश्व॑म् । उ॒क्थ्य॑म् । असा॑मि । राधः॑ । ह॒रि॒ऽजा॒त॒ । ह॒र्य॒तम् ॥
हे इन्द्र हे हरिकेश हरितरोमवदश्व त्वन्त्वं त्वमेव सर्वत्र यज्ञेऽहर्यथाः। अकामयथाः स्तोत्रं हविर्वा। कीद्रुशस्त्वम्। पूर्वेभिः पूर्वतनैर्यज्वभिर्यजमानैरुपस्तुतः सन्। हे हरिजात हरितवर्णः सन्प्रादुर्भूत हारकप्रादुर्भाव वा। शत्रुवधार्थं प्रादुर्भूतेत्यर्थः। हे तादृशेन्द्र त्वं तव। स्वभूतमिति शेशः। विश्वं व्याप्तं सोमचरुपुरोडाशादिरूपं सर्वं वा। यद्वा। यत्र यानि यानि हवींषि दीयन्ते तत्सर्वं वा। तथोक्थ्यं प्रशस्यमसाम्यसाधारणमनमं कृत्स्नं हर्यतं कान्तं राधोऽन्नं हविर्लक्षणं हर्यसि। कामयसे॥५॥
“Indra, with yellow locks, when praised by ancient worshippers, you did desire the oblation; you whoare manifested of a golden hue desire your universal praise, your peculiar and delightful (sacrificial) food.”
Thou, thou, when praised by men who sacrificed of old. hadst pleasure in their lauds, O Indra golden-haired.
All that befits thy song of praise thou welcornest, the perfect pleasant gift, O Golden-hued from birth.
It was just you who were gladdened when you were praised by the ancient sacrificers, o golden-haired Indra.
You are glad (now): yours is every bounty, complete and gladdening, worthy to be hymned, o golden-born one.
Du, du gepriesen von den alten Opferern, warst holdgestimmt, o Indra, du mit goldnem Haar. Ja, du bist hold und dein ist alles preisliche, vollkommne, holde Gut, o Goldgeborener.
Immer nur du wurdest begehrt, von den früheren Opferern belobt, goldhaariger Indra. Du begehrst Lob; dein ist alles preisenswerte, vollkommene, liebliche Gabe, du goldig Geborener.

ता तौ प्रसिद्धौ हर्यता हर्यतौ गन्तारौ कान्तौ वा हरी हरितवर्णावश्वौ मन्दिनं मोदमानं स्तोम्यं स्तुत्यर्हं वज्रिणमिन्द्रं मदे निमित्ते रथे वहतः। धारयतः। यज्ञमस्मदीयं प्रापयतः। अस्मै हर्यते कान्तायेन्द्राय पुरूणि बहूनि सवनानि प्रातरादीनि हरयो हरितवर्णाः सोमा दधन्विरे। निधीयन्ते॥६॥
“These two delightful bay horses bring the thunderer, the rejoicing and laudable Indra, in his car to theexhilaration (of the Soma); for him the beloved one many libations of the yellow-tinted Soma are stored up.”
These two dear Bays bring hither Indra on his car, Thunder-armed, joyous, meet for laud, to drink his fill.
Many libations flow for him who loveth them: to Indra have the gold-hued Soma juices run.
These two gladdening golden (horses) convey in his chariot the
mace-bearing, exhilarating, praiseworthy Indra in his exhilaration.
For him who is glad for the many soma-pressings, for Indra, the golden soma juices have run.
Im Wagen fährt das holde, goldne Rossepaar zum Rausch den muntern, hehren Indra mit dem Blitz, Ihm strömten viele goldne Somatränke zu, dem Indra, der des Trankes Spenden hold empfängt;
Diese lieben Falben ziehen den Indra zu Wagen, den Keulenträger, den rauschliebenden, im Rausche preisenswerten. Für ihn, der viele Somaspenden begehrt, für Indra rannen die goldgelben Tropfen und Falben.
Эта пара желанных буланых коней везет на колеснице Индру,
Громовержца, возбужденного, в опьянении достойного хвалы.
Для него, желающего многих выжиманий,
Для Индры помчались золотистые соки сомы.

अर॑म् । कामा॑य । हर॑यः । द॒ध॒न्वि॒रे॒ । स्थि॒राय॑ । हि॒न्व॒न् । हर॑यः । हरी॒ इति॑ । तु॒रा । अर्व॑त्ऽभिः । यः । हरि॑ऽभिः । जोष॑म् । ईय॑ते । सः । अ॒स्य॒ । काम॑म् । हरि॑ऽवन्तम् । आ॒न॒शे॒ ॥
अरमलं पर्याप्तं कामायेन्द्रकामनाय हरयो हरितवर्णाः सोमा दधन्विरे। ते च हरयः स्थिराय युद्धेऽपलयितायेन्द्राय तुरा तुरौ त्वरमाणौ हरी अश्वौ हिन्वन्। प्रेरयन्ति। योऽर्वद्भिररणकुशलैर्हरिभिरश्वैर्जोषं शूरैः सेव्यं सङ्ग्राममीयते गच्छति स रथोऽस्येन्द्रस्य स्वभुतं कामं कमनीयं हरिवन्तं सोमवन्तं यज्ञमानशे। व्याप्नोति॥७॥
“Yellow-tinted (Soma) is stored up sufficient to whet his desires, the yellow-tinted Soma urges his twoswift bay horses for the salwart (Indra). His (chariot) which rushes with spirited bay horses to the conflict, hasreached his desire (the sacrifice) in which the Soma is presented.”
Tle gold-hued drops have flowed to gratify his wish: the yellow dro s have urged the swift Bays to the Strong.
He who speeds on with Bay Steeds even as he lists hath satisfied his longing for the golden drops.
Sufficient for his desire, the golden ones have run; the golden ones spur on the surpassing pair of golden (horses) for the steadfast one.
Who speeds as he pleases with his golden steeds, he has attained his
desire that provides the golden (soma).
Dem starken strömten goldne Tränke zu nach Wunsch, die goldnen spornten an sein goldnes rasches Paar; Der mit den goldnen Rennern eilt nach seiner Lust, erfüllte sein Verlangen nach dem goldnen Trank.
Recht nach deinem Wunsche rannen die goldfarbigen Somatropfen und Renner. Die goldfarbigen Somatropfen treiben dem standfesten Indra das überlegene Falbenpaar zur Eile an. Der mit goldgelben Rennpferden nach Belieben fährt, er hat seinen Wunsch, den goldfarbigen Soma zu besitzen, erlangt.

हरिश्मशारुर्हरितवर्णश्मश्रुर्हरिकेशो हरितवर्नकेश अयसोऽयोमयहृदयः। शत्रूणां घातक इत्यर्थः। एतादृशो य इन्द्रस्तुरस्पेये तूर्णं पातव्ये सोमे हरिपा हरितवर्नसोमपा अवर्धत वर्धते यश्चार्वद्भिर्गृन्तृभिर्हरिभिरश्वैः सोमैर्वा वाजिनीवसुः। वाजिनमन्नं हविर्लक्षणम् । तदस्या अस्तीति वाजिनी क्रिया। सैव वसु धनं यस्य स तथोक्तः। यज्ञधन इत्यर्थः। यद्वा। वाजिनमेव वाजिनी। तदेव धनं यस्य। स एवमुक्तलक्षण इन्द्रो हरी रथे योजयित्वा विश्वा विश्वानि सर्वाणि दुरितास्माकं दुरितानि पारिषत्। पारयतु। पारयतेर्लेटि सिप्यडागमः॥८॥
“The yellow-bearded, yellow-haired, iron-hearted Indra, the drinker of the yellow (Soma), who has beeninvigorated by the Soma which has to be quickly quaffed, who is rich in sacrificial food through his swift bayhorses, may he drive his two bay horses safe through all difficulties.”
At the swift draught the Soma-drinker waxed in might, the Iron One with yellow beard and yellow hair.
He, Lord of Tawny Coursers, Lord of fleet-foot Mares, will bear his Bay Steeds safely over all distress.
Golden-bearded, golden-haired, made of metal, who, drinking the golden (soma), has grown strong on the drink of surpassing,
who with his golden steeds, rich in prizewinning mares, will deliver his two golden (horses) beyond all difficult ways,
Des goldnen Trinker, der bei raschem Trunk erwuchs, mit goldnem Bart und goldnem Haar, der eherne, Mit goldnen Lenkern treibe er an Gaben reich das Rossepaar, das goldne hin durch alle Noth.
Mit goldgelbem Barte, mit goldgelbem Haupthaar, ehern, der am Trank des überlegenen Soma sich stärkte, der Trinker des Goldgelben, der reich an Gewinnen durch die goldgelben Rennpferde, das Falbenpaar über alle Fährlichkeiten hinüberführen wird.

यस्येन्द्रस्य हरिणी हरितवर्णावश्वौ विपेततुः रथ इन्द्रमारोप्य विपततो यज्ञमस्मदीयम्। यद्वा। यस्य हरिणी हरितवर्णे कनीनिके विपेततुः सोमं प्रति विपततः। तत्र दृष्टान्तः। स्रुवेव। यथा स्रुवा स्रुवौ हविषा पूर्णौ पात्रविशेशौ होमार्थं विपततः तद्वत्। तथा यस्य च हरिणी हरितवर्णे शिप्रे हनू वाजाय सोमलक्षणायान्नाय दविध्वतः कम्पयतः पुरतः प्रत्तस्य सोमस्य प्रीत्या चलतः। तथा यद्यदा कृते संस्कृते चमसे वर्तमानं मदस्य मदकरं हर्यतस्य कान्तमन्धसोन्नं सोमं पीत्वा हरी अश्वौ प्र मर्मृजत् प्रमार्ष्टि। तदानीं स्तुत इत्यर्थः॥९॥
“He whose bay horses alight (upon the Soma) like two ladies, whose yellow jaws tremble (witheagerness) for the sacrificial food, (is praised) when having drunk of the delicious exhilarating Soma in theprepared cup, he rubs down his bay horses.”
His yellow-coloured jaws, like ladles move apart, what time, for strength, he makes the yellow-tinted stir,
When, while the bowl stands there, he grooms his Tawny Steeds, when he hath drunk strong drink, the sweet juice that he loves.
Whose golden lips, which are like two (golden) spoons, have flown apart, as he sets his two lips to twitching for the prize,
when, after the cup is done, he will groom his two golden (horses),
upon drinking of the exhilarating drink, the gladdening stalk.
Dess goldne Stuten wie zwei Ströme fliegen hin, wenn er die goldnen Lippen schüttelt zu dem Trunk, Beim fert'gen Becher sich die goldnen Lippen wischt, nachdem er von dem goldnen Trank zum Rausch geschlürft.
Dessen goldgelbe Zahnreihen sich wie zwei Löffel auftun, während er die beiden goldgelben Zahnreihen für den Siegestrunk hin und her bewegt, wann er bei bereitstehendem Somabecher das Falbenpaar striegelt, nachdem er vom Rauschtrank, dem lieben Tranke, getrunken hat.

उतापि च हर्यतस्य कमनीयस्येन्द्रस्य सद्म सदनं पस्त्यॊर्द्यावापृथिव्योः सम्बन्धि। सोऽयमत्यो नाश्व इव वाजं सङ्ग्रामं हरिवानश्ववानचिक्रात्। गच्छति। तथा हि यस्माद्धे इन्द्र त्वां मही महती धिषणा स्तुतिरोजसा बलेन युक्तमिन्द्र महर्यत् कामयते। चिदिति पूरणः। अतो वाजमचिक्रदत्। तथा सति हर्यतः कामयमानस्य यजमानस्य ब्रुहन्महद्वयोऽन्नमा दधिषे। धारयसि। आप्रयच्छसि। चिदिति पूरणः॥१०॥
“The dwelling of the gracious (Indra) is in heaven and earth; exhilarated by the Soma he rushesimpetuously as a charger to battle. The earnest prayer desires (Indra endowed) with might; you bestow amplefood on the devout (worshipper).”
Yea, to the Dear One's seat in homes of heaven and earth the Bay Steeds' Lord hath whinnied like a horse for food.
Then the great wish hath seized upon him mightily, and the Beloved One hath gained high power of life,
And the seat of the gladdening (soma) is in both dwelling places. The possessor of golden (horses/soma) has roared toward the prize like a racehorse.
Because even the great (Earth), the Holy Place, was gladdened by your might, you took on lofty vigor—yourself also gladdening.
Der Herr der goldnen wiehert, wie ein Ross den Trog, den Sitz des Soma an, dem beide Welten hold; Denn kräftig stimmt der Welten Schalen er zur Huld, es nimmt der holde viele Nahrung in sich auf.
Und der Sitz des Beliebten ist in beiden Wohnungen. Wie ein Rennpferd nach dem Siegerpreis wiehert, hat der Falbenlenker nach dem Siegestrunk geschrieen; denn auch die große Dhisana trug gewaltig Verlangen. Du hast dir große Kraft zugelegt, selbst gar beliebt.

हे इन्द्र हर्यमाणः कामयमानो महित्वा महत्त्वेन रोदसी द्यावापृथिव्यावा। पूरयसीति शेशः। तथा नव्यन्नव्यं नवतरं प्रियं प्रियकरं मन्ममननीयं स्तोत्रं नु क्षिप्रं हर्यसि। कामयसे। हे असुर बलवन्। असुः प्राणः। तद्वन्। मत्वर्थीयो रः। ताद्रुशीन्द्र गोः। जात्येकवचनम् । गवां हर्यतं स्पृहणीयं पस्त्यं गृहं गोरुदकस्योक्तगुणकं स्थानं वा हरय उदकस्य हर्त्रे सूर्याय प्र प्रकर्षेणानिष्कृधि। प्रकटीकुरु॥११॥
“You (Indra) who are the object of desire (fill) heaven and earth with your greatness, you desire gratefulpraise ever new and new; O powerful one, make manifest the desirable dwelling of the water to the”
Thou, comprehending with thy might the earth and heaven, acceptest the dear hymn for ever new and new.
O Asura, disclose thou and make visible the Cow's beloved home to the bright golden Sun.
You, being gladdened, (filled) the two world-halves with your greatness. You now become glad at every new dear thought.
O lord, reveal forth to the golden sun the gladdening dwelling place of the cow.
Den beiden Welten bist du hold durch Herrlichkeit und hold dem lieben Liede, das sich stets erneut; Der goldnen Sonne mache, o du höchster Gott, der Kühe holde Heimatsstätte offenbar.
Die beiden Welten erfülltest du, der Begehrte, mit deiner Größe; immer ein neues liebes Gedicht begehrst du. O Asura, mach die liebe Stätte des Rinds für die goldene Sonne offenbar!

हे इन्द्र हरिशिप्रं हरितवर्णशिप्रं त्वा त्वां हर्यन्तं यज्ञं कामयमानं प्रयुजो रथे प्र्युक्ता अश्वा रथे स्थापयित्वा जनानामृत्विग्यजमानानामन्तिकं वहन्तु। प्रापयन्तु। प्रवहन्ति। यथा येन प्राकारेन प्रतिभृतस्य ग्रहादिषु सम्भृतं मध्वो मधु सोमरसं यज्ञं यागसाधनं दशोणिम् । ओणयोऽङुलयः। दशभिरङ्गुलिभिः सम्पादितं सोमं हर्यन् कामयमानः सन् पिब पिबसि सधमादे सङ्ग्रामे जयर्थं तथवहन्त्वित्यर्थः॥१२॥
“Let your horses yoked to the chariot bring you, Indra, the yellow- jawed, desiring (the sacrifice), to (thevicinity) of the worshippers; when you, desiring the sacrifice, prepared by the ten fingers, drink of the collectedsweet-flavoured Soma, (let them bring you) to the battle.”
O Indra, let the eager wishes of the folk bring thee, delightful, golden-visored, on thy car,
That, pleased with sacrifice wherein ten fingers toil, thou mayest, at the feast, drink of our offered meath.
Let the advance teams of the peoples convey you here in your chariot— you, the golden-lipped, in your gladness, o Indra,
so that you will drink of the honey that is offered, finding gladness in the ten-armed sacrifice at the joint revelry.
Dich goldbehelmten, holden Indra möge im Wagen fahren das Gespann der Menschen; Damit du trinkst den dargereichten Soma, dem Opfer hold, das zehnfach labt beim Mahle.
Dich, den Begehrenden, soll der Vorspann, die Veranstaltungen der Menschen, zu Wagen herfahren, dich Indra mit den goldenen Zähnen, auf daß du von dem angebotenen Süßtrank trinkest, das Opfer, das bei dem gemeinsamen Gelage von zehn Armen besorgt wird, begehrend.

अपाः पुर्वेषामित्येषा षोडशशस्त्रस्य याज्या। सुत्रितम् च। एवा हि शक्रो वशी हि शक्र इति जपित्वापाः पूर्वेषां हरिवः सुतानामिति यजति। आ. ६-२। इति॥हे इन्द्र सुतानामभिषुतानां पुर्वेषां प्रातःसवनसम्पादितानाम् । कर्मणि षष्ठ्यावेते। अभिषुतान्प्रातः सवनिकान्सोमानित्यर्थः। तानपाः। अपिबः। हे हरिव इतीन्द्रसम्बोधनम् । हरिभ्यामश्वाभ्यां तद्वन्। यद्वा। ऋक्सामात्मकाभ्यां हरिभ्यां युक्त। ऋक्सामे वा इन्द्रस्य हरी। ऐ. ब्रा. २- २४। तै. सं . ६-५-९-२। ताभ्यामेष हरतिति ब्राह्मणम्। अथो अपि चेदं माध्यन्दिनं सवनं केवलं ते तवैवासाधारणम्। माध्यन्दिनं सवनं केवलं ते। ऋ. ४-३५-७। इति हि मन्त्रान्तरम्। तस्मिन्सवने हे इन्द्र मधुमन्तं माधुर्योपेतम् सोमं ममद्धि। पिब। आस्वादयेत्यर्थः। मदिरत्रास्वादनकर्मा। पिबन्तु मदन्तु वियन्त्विति च मन्त्रः। सत्रा वृषन्। सत्राशब्दो भूयिष्ठवचनः। हे भूयिष्ठ वर्शितरिन्द्र जठर आ व्रुषस्व। आसिञ्चस्व॥१३॥
“Lord of horses, you did drink of previous libations, this sacrifice is for you alone; exhilarate yourself.Indra with the sweet Soma; showerer of copious rain, shower it into your belly.”
Juices aforetime, Lord of Bays, thou drankest; and thine especially is this libation.
Gladden thee, Indra, with the meath-rich Soma: pour it down ever, Mighty One! within thee.
You have drunk of the earlier soma-pressings, o possessor of the golden (horses/soma), and this pressing here is yours alone.
Find exhilaration in the honeyed soma, Indra. Rain it utterly into your belly, o bull.
Du trankst die frühern Säfte, Herr der goldnen, so sei auch dieser Trunk nun ganz dein eigen, Berausche dich am honigsüssen Soma und giess, Held Indra, ganz in deinen Bauch ihn.
Du hast von den früheren Preßsäften getrunken, o Falbenlenker, und auch diese Trankspende ist für dich allein. Berausche dich an dem versüßten Soma, Indra, und schütte ihn auf einmal in deinen Bauch, du Bulle!
