रथोरंहणाद्रथोयज्ञः सचनबोनूयतेस्तूयतेत्रेतिनवःस्तुतिमान् सस्निः स्नाशौचे आदृगमहनेतिकिन्प्र- त्ययः शुद्धः एवंविधोयज्ञः प्रातः प्रातःकालेयोजि अयोज्यस्माभिः चतुर्युगः युज्यन्तइतियुगानिग्रावा- णः चत्वारियुगानियस्यसतथोक्तः अध्वर्य्वाद्यृत्विगभिप्रायंवा त्रिकशः तिस्रः कशावाचोमन्द्रमध्यमो- त्कृष्टरूपायस्यसतथोक्तः सवनत्रयाभिप्रायंवा सप्तरश्मिःअश्नुवते व्याप्नुवन्ति कर्माणीतिरश्मयः छन्दां सिसप्तसङ्ख्याकानिगायत्र्यादीनिच्छन्दांसियस्यसतथोक्ताः दशारित्रः अरिभ्यः पापेभ्यस्त्रायन्तइतिअ- रित्राग्रहाः दशसङ्ख्याकाग्रहायस्यसतादृशः चमसाध्वर्य्वभिप्रायंवा मनुष्योमनुष्याणांहितः स्वर्षाः स्वर्गस्यदाता सएवंविधोयज्ञः इष्टिभिः प्रायणीयातिथ्यादिभिः मतिभिर्मननीयैःस्तोत्रैःरंह्यः शब्दनी- योभूदभूत् यद्वा नवोभिवः सस्निः स्नोतेर्द्विर्वचनादि कामानान्दातारथः रमन्तेस्मिन्नितिरथः स्यन्दनः प्रातः सवनेचसोमपानार्थंयोजि अश्वैरयोजि कीदृशःचतुर्युगः त्रिकशः तिस्रःकशाय्स्यसतथोक्तः सप्तर- श्मिः सप्तरज्जु दशारित्रोदशवक्रः मनुष्यः मनुष्यहितः स्वर्षाः स्वर्गस्यसङ्गमयिताइन्द्ररथः इष्टिभिः यागैर्मतिभिः स्तोत्रैश्चव्याप्तव्योभवति ॥ १ ॥
“A laudable and pure sacrifice, has been instrumental tuted at dawn; having four pairs (of stones for bruising the Soma); three tones (of prayer); seven metres, and ten vessels; beneficial to man, conferring heaven, and sanctifiable with solemn rites and praises.”
THE rich new car hath been equipped at morning; four yokes it hath, three whips, seven reins to guide it:
Ten-sided, friendly to mankind, light-winner, that must be urged to speed with prayers and wishes.
Early in the morning a new, victorious chariot is yoked up with four yokes, three whips, and seven reins.
Having ten oars, the sun-winning (chariot) belonging to the sons of
Manu becomes swift through our wishes and thoughts.
Früh ward geschirrt der neue, reiche Wagen, dess Joche vier, sechs Peitschen, sieben Stränge, zehn Räder auch, der menschenhold voll Glanz ist; durch Wünsch' und Bitten lasst uns ihn beeilen.
Am Morgen wird der neue Wagen geschirrt, der gewinnreiche mit vier Jochen, drei Peitschen, sieben Zügeln, mit zehn Rudern, von Menschen gemacht, das Himmelslicht erringend. Er soll mit unseren Wünschen, mit unseren frommen Gedanken in Lauf gesetzt werden.
Поутру запряжена новая колесница, захватывающая (добычу),
С четырьмя хомутами, тремя кнутами, семью поводьями,
Десятью веслами, созданная для человека, завоевывающая небо.
Да поторопят ее наши желания (и) молитвы!

सयज्ञः सोमोवाअस्माइन्द्रायप्रथमम्प्रातःसवनेअरम्पर्याप्तोभूत् सचद्वितीयं माध्यन्दिनेसवनेपर्याप्तो- भूत् उतोअपिचसतृतीयं तृतीयेसवनेपर्याप्तोभूत् सर्वत्रकालाध्वनोरितिद्वितीया सयज्ञः सोमोवामनु- षोमनुष्यस्यहोताशुभानांवोढाभवति किञ्च अन्येऋत्विजः अन्यस्याः पृथिव्याः वेदात्मिकायावाचो- वागर्भंसन्तं सोमंयज्ञं वाजनन्त अजनयन्त उप्रसिद्भ्यर्थः वृषाअभिमतफलवर्षकः जेन्योजयसमर्थः सयज्ञः सोमोवाअन्येभिः अन्यैरिन्द्रादिभिःदेवैःसचते सङ्गच्छते सचसमवाये अनुदात्तेत् ॥ २ ॥
“That (sacrifice) is sufficient for him, (Indra), whether (offered) for the first, the second, or the third time; it is the bearer (of good) to man; other (priests) engender the embryo of a different (rite), but this victorious (sacrifice), the showerer (of benefits) combines with other (ceremonies).”
This is prepared for him the first, the second, and the third time: he is man's Priest and Herald.
Others get offspring of another parent he goeth, as a noble Bull, with others.
He is fit for him [=Indra] for the first time, for the second, for the third— he the Hotar of Manu [=Agni].
Some [=priests] give birth (to him [=Agni]), the infant of another [=aráṇi fem., the fire-kindling stick], and he keeps company with the others— he the noble bull.
Zum ersten, zweiten und zum dritten male ist schon bereit des Menschen Priester, Agni; Aus andrer Mutter zeugen stets ihn andre, zu andern stets gesellt der edle Stier sich.
Er ist dafür bereits erstmals und zum andern, und auch zum dritten Male, der Hotri des Manu. Als den Sproß einer anderen erzeugten ihn andere, er gesellt sich anderen, der häusliche Stier.
Он готов для него в первый раз, он – во второй,
А также в третий, он, хотар человека.
Зародыша одной породили также и другие.
Он присоединяется к другим, (этот) благородный бык.

इन्द्रस्यसम्बन्धिनिरथे हरीएतन्नामकावश्वौनुक्षिप्रङ्कंसुखेनआयैगमनायनवेनान्यैरकृत पूर्वेणवचसा- वेदात्मकेनसूक्तेनसाधनेनयोजंयुनज्मि युजिर् योगे लुङि इरितोवेतिच्लेरङादेशः अत्रास्मिन्यज्ञेबह- वोविप्रामेधाविनः स्तोतारोभवन्तिहि तथापिअन्येमद्भ्यतिरिक्तायजमानासोयजमानाः त्वां सु सुष्ठु मोनिरीमन् नितराम्मारमयन्तु अतोस्मदीयंयज्ञमागत्यसोमम्पिबेतिभावः रीरमन् रमतेर्ण्यन्तस्यलुङि- चङिसन्वद्भावादभ्यासस्येत्वदीर्घौ वाक्यभेदादत्र हियोगाभावेननिघातः ॥ ३ ॥
“I harness quickly and easily the horses to the car of Indra for its journey, by new and well-recited prayer; many wise (worshippers) are present here; let not other instrumental tutors of sacred rites tempt you (away).”
To Indra's car the Bay Steeds have I harnessed, that new well-spoken words may bring him hither.
Here let not other worshippers detain thee, for among us are many holy singers.
Now I shall yoke the two fallow bays to Indra’s chariot by a new, well-spoken speech in order that he come.
Let other sacrificers—for inspired poets are many—not stop you
in this.
Die Füchse will ich schirr'n an Indra's Wagen, durch Spruch und neues Lied ihn herzuziehen; Nicht mögen dich – denn viele gibt's der Sänger – jetzt andre Priester dort zur Einkehr lenken.
Die beiden Falben will ich nun mit neuer, wohlgesetzter Rede an Indra´s Wagen schirren, daß er komme. Nicht sollen dich dabei - denn es gibt viele Redekundige - die anderen Opfernden aufhalten.
Вот запрягу я пару буланых коней в колесницу Индры,
Чтобы он приехал, с помощью новой прекрасно произнесенной речи.

हेइन्द्र होतृभिराहूयमानस्त्वं द्वाभ्यांहरिभ्यामश्वाभ्यामिमंयज्ञम्प्रति सोमपानार्थमायाहि चतुर्भि- र्हरिभिरायाहि तथाषड्भिरागच्छ सोमपेयं पापाने कर्मणिअचोयत् ईद्यतीतीत्वं पातव्यंसोमम्प्रतिअ- ष्टाभिरश्वैरायाहि अष्टनोदीर्घादितिविभक्तेरुदात्तत्वं दशभिर्हरिभिरागच्छ सुमख सुयज्ञ सुधनवा हेइन्द्र अयंसोमस्त्वदर्थंसुतः अभिषुतः अतोयज्ञस्यमृधोहिंसाः माकः माकार्षीः करोतेर्लुङिमन्त्रेघसे- त्यादिनाचेर्लुक् गुणेकृते हल्ङ्यादिनासिपोलोपः यद्यपीन्द्रस्यद्वावेवहरीतथापितयोर्विभूतिभेदान्ना- नात्वं अतोश्वबहुत्वमविरुद्धम् ॥ ४ ॥
“Come, Indra, when invoked, with two horses, or with four, or with six, or with eight, or with ten, to drink the Soma; object of worship, Soma is poured out; do not wrong (to the libation).”
Indra, come hitherward with two Bay Coursers, come thou with four, with six when invocated.
Come thou with eight, with ten, to drink the Soma. Here is the juice, brave Warrior: do not scorn it.
With your two fallow bays, Indra, journey here, with your four and with your six, when you are summoned,
with your eight and your ten, to the soma-drinking. Here is the pressed soma, generous one: do not disdain it.
O komme Indra her mit zweien Füchsen, mit vieren komm, mit sechsen angeruf'ner, Mit acht, mit zehnen her zum Somatrunke; hier steht der Soma, nicht verschmäh ihn, lust'ger.
Komm mit zwei Falben, o Indra, mit vieren, mit sechsen, da du gerufen wirst, mit acht, mit zehn zum Somatrunk. Dieser Soma ist ausgepreßt, o Freigebiger, verschmäh ihn nicht!
О Индра, приезжай на двух буланых конях,
На четырех, на шести, призываемый (нами),
На восьми, на десяти на питье сомы!
Он выжат, о щедрый, не пренебреги (им)!

हेइन्द्र सोमपेयम्पातव्यंसोमम्प्रतिअर्वाङस्मदभिमुखः सन् विंशतिसङ्ख्याकैरशैरायाहि त्रिंशतात्रिं- शत्सङ्ख्यकैर्हरिभिरागच्छ चत्वारिंशताचत्वारिंशत्सङ्ख्याकैर्हरिभिर्युजानोयुज्यमानस्त्वंसोमपानम्प्रत्या- याहि सुरथेभिः सुरंहणैः सुगमनैः पञ्चशताहरिभिरायाहि तथाषष्ट्याषष्टिसङ्ख्याकैर्हरिभिः सप्तत्या- एतत्सङ्ख्याकैर्हरिभिः सोमपानम्प्रत्यागच्छ ॥ ५ ॥
“Come to our presence, Indra, having harnessed your car with twenty, thirty, or forty horses; or with fifty well-trained steeds; or with sixty or with seventy, Indra, to drink the Soma.”
O Indra, come thou hither having harnessed thy car with twenty, thirty, forty horses.
Come thou with fifty well trained coursers, Indra, sixty or seventy, to drink the Soma.
Journey here, right nearby, with your twenty and your thirty, yoking up with your forty fallow bays,
with your fifty pulling your good chariot, Indra, with your sixty and your seventy, to the soma-drinking.
Komm her mit zwanzig, komm mit dreissig Füchsen, mit vierzigen herbei den Wagen schirrend, Mit funfzigen an schönem Wagen, Indra, mit sechzig, siebzig zu dem Somatrunke.
Komm mit zwanzig, mit dreißig hierher, mit vierzig Falben fahrend, mit fünfzig gut eingefahren, o Indra, mit sechzig, mit siebenzig zum Somatrunk!
Приезжай сюда на двадцати, тридцати,
На сорока буланых конях, запрягши (их),
На пятидесяти, о Индра, (запряженных) в прекрасные колесницы,
На шестидесяти, семидесяти – на питье сомы!

अशीत्या अशीतिसङ्ख्याकैश्वैः सोमपानार्थमर्वाङस्मदभिमुखःसन् आयाहि नवत्याएतत्सङ्ख्याकैरश्वैरा- गच्छ शतेनशतसङ्ख्याकैर्हरिभिरुह्यमानोधार्ययाणस्त्वंआयाहि हेइन्द्र हियस्मात्तेमदायहर्षायशुनहोत्रे- षु सुखेनहूयतेसोमोयेभिरितिशुनहोत्राः पात्रविशेषाः तेषुअयंसोमः त्वाया त्वत्कामनयापरिषिक्तः ॥ ६ ॥
“Come, Indra, to our presence, conveyed by eighty, ninety, or a hundred horses; this Soma has been poured into the goblet, Indra, for your exhilaration.”
Come to us hitherward, O Indra, carried by eighty, ninety, or an hundred horses.
This Soma juice among the Sunahotras hath been poured out, in love, to glad thee, Indra.
Journey here, right nearby, with your eighty and your ninety, being conveyed by your hundred fallow bays,
for here is your soma among the Śunahotras, Indra, which has been poured all around seeking you for your exhilaration.
Komm noch herbei mit achtzig und mit neunzig, mit hundert Rossen komm herbeigefahren; Denn bei dem Çunahotrastamm, o Indra, ist dieser Soma dir zum Rausch ergossen.
Komm mit achtzig, mit neunzig hierher, mit hundert Falben komm gefahren, denn dieser Soma bei den Sunahotra´s ist dein, für dich, Indra, zum Rausch eingeschenkt!
Приезжай сюда на восьмидесяти, на девяноста,
На ста конях, влекомый (ими)!
Ведь этот сома у потомков Шунахотры – для тебя!
О Индра, из любви к тебе он палит для опьянения!

हेइन्द्र ममब्रह्मअस्मदीयामेवस्तुतिमच्छाभिलक्ष्यायाहि विश्वाव्याप्तौहरीरथस्यधुरियुगप्रान्तेधि- ष्व संयोजय पुरुत्रापुरुभिर्बहुभिर्यजमानैः त्वंविहव्योविविधंह्वातव्योबभूथ बभूविथ बभूथाततन्थ- जगृभ्यववर्थेतिनिपातनादिडभावः हिप्रसिद्धः हेशूर अस्मिन् सवनेयज्ञेमादयस्व सोमपाएनहृष्टो- भव ॥ ७ ॥
“Come hither, Indra, (having heard) my prayer; yoke your two universal steeds to the pole of your chariot; you have been the object of invocation in many ways by many (worshippers), but now, hero, be exhilarated in this (our) sacrifice.”
To this my prayer, O Indra, come thou hither: bind to thy car's pole all thy two Bay Coursers.
Thou art to be invoked in many places Hero, rejoice thyself in this libation.
Journey here to my poetic formulation, Indra. Put all the pairs of fallow bays on the yoke-pole of the chariot,
for you have become the one to be competitively summoned in many places. In this soma-pressing, you warrior, find your exhilaration.
Komm her, o Indra, hier auf meine Bitte, schirr alle Rosse an des Wagens Deichsel; Zwar warest du von vielen anzurufen; doch freue recht an diesem Mahl dich, Indra.
Zu meiner Erbauungsrede komm, o Indra, lege alle beiden Falben an des Wagens Deichsel ! An vielen Orten solltest du zwar geladen werden; berausche dich, o Held, bei dieser Somaspende!
На мою молитву приди, о Индра, привязав
К дышлу колесницы все пары буланых коней!
Ведь тебя во многих местах приходится звать с разных сторон.
(Так) опьяняйся, о герой, на этом выжимании (сомы)!

इन्द्रेणसहमेममसख्यंयष्टृयष्टव्यलक्षणंसख्यन्नवियोषत् कदाचिदपिनवियुज्यतां यौतेर्लेटिसिब्बहु- लमितिसिप् अडागमः अस्येन्द्रस्यदक्षिणाइन्द्रकर्तृकं दानमस्मभ्यन्दुहीत अभिमतफलं दुग्धां दुहेर्लिङि- रूपं ज्येष्ठेअतिशयेनप्रशस्येवरूथे आपदांवारकेवरणीयेवागभस्तौ बाहौउपसमीपेवर्तिनः स्याम इन्द्र- स्यहस्तस्पर्शयोग्याभवेमेत्यर्थः किञ्च प्रायेप्राये सोमपानार्थमिन्द्रस्ययज्ञशालायाम्प्रवेशेप्रवेशे जिगीवां- सः शत्रूणाञ्जेतारोभवेम यद्वा प्रायेप्रायेप्रकर्षेणईयतेगम्यतेयोद्धृभिरितिप्रायंयुद्धं तस्मिन्युद्धेजिगीवां- सः शत्रून् जितवन्तोभवम ॥ ८ ॥
“Never may my friendship with Indra be disunited; may his liberality (ever) yield us (our desires); may we be within the excellent defence of (his protecting) arms; may we be victorious in every battle.”
Ne'er be my love from Indra disunited still may his liberal Milch-cow yield us treasure.
So may we under his supreme protection, safe in his arms, succeed in each forth-going.
No one will keep my companionship away from Indra. The priestly gift should yield its milk to us.
In his preeminent protection and in his hand, we would be those having victory in our every advance.
Nie höre meine Freundschaft auf mit Indra, uns möge seine Gabenfülle strömen; In seinem besten Schutz und Arme mögen wir siegreich sein in jedem Gang zum Kampfe.
Nicht soll meine Freundschaft mit Indra auseinander gehen. Für uns soll seine Lohngabe wie eine Kuh ergiebig sein. Unter seiner höchsten Obhut und Hand wollen wir bei jedem Beginnen Sieger sein.
Да не разладится моя дружба с Индрой!
Для нас пусть выдаивается его вознаграждение (за жертву)!
Да будем мы (всегда) побеждать в каждом походе
Под (его) лучшей защитой, (находясь) в (его) длани!
नू॒नं सा ते॒ प्रति॒ वरं॑ जरि॒त्रे दु॑ही॒यदि॑न्द्र॒ दक्षि॑णा म॒घोनी॑ । शिक्षा॑ स्तो॒तृभ्यो॒ माति॑ ध॒ग्भगो॑ नो बृ॒हद्व॑देम वि॒दथे॑ सु॒वीरा॑: ॥
नू॒नम् । सा । ते॒ । प्रति॑ । वर॑म् । जरि॒त्रे । दु॒ही॒यत् । इ॒न्द्र॒ । दक्षि॑णा । म॒घोनी॑ । शिक्ष॑ । स्तो॒तृऽभ्यः॑ । मा । अति॑ । ध॒क् । भगः॑ । नः॒ । बृ॒हत् । व॒दे॒म॒ । वि॒दथे॑ । सु॒ऽवीराः॑ ॥
नूनंसातइतिव्याख्याता ॥ ९ ॥अपाय्यस्येतिनवर्चमष्टमंसूक्तङ्गार्त्समदन्त्रैष्टुभमैन्द्रम् अषायीत्यनुक्रान्तम् लैङ्गिकः सूक्तविनियो- गः द्वितीयेपर्यायेहोतृशस्त्रयाज्या अपाय्यस्यान्धसोमदायेतियाज्येसूत्रितम् ।
“That opulent donation which proceeds, Indra, from you, assuredly bestows upon him who praises you, the boon that he desires; grant (it) to (us) your adorers; do not you, who are the object of adoration, disregard our prayers; so that, blessed with worthy descendants, we may glorify you in this sacrifice.”
Now may that wealthy Cow Of thine, O Indra, give in return a boon to him who lauds thee.
Give to thy praisers: let not fortune fail us. Loud may we speak, with heroes, in assembly.
Now should the generous priestly gift yield your boon for the singer as its milk, Indra.
Exert yourself for the praise singers. Let fortune not pass us by. – May we speak loftily at the ritual distribution, in possession of good
heroes.
Wohlan, es locke diese reiche Gabe dir ab, o Indra, was der Sänger wünschet; Den Preisern spende, kürze nicht den Antheil. Lasst laut im Chore bei dem Fest uns singen.
Nun soll diese deine reichliche Lohngabe, o Indra, dem Sänger nach Wunsch ergiebig sein. Suche den Sängern zu nützen; das Glück soll nicht an uns vorübergehen. - Wir möchten das große Wort führen als Meister in der Weisheit.
