वि॒श्व॒ऽजिते॑ । ध॒न॒ऽजिते॑ । स्वः॒ऽजिते॑ । स॒त्रा॒ऽजिते॑ । नृ॒ऽजिते॑ । उ॒र्व॒रा॒ऽजिते॑ । अ॒श्व॒ऽजिते॑ । गो॒ऽजिते॑ । अ॒प्ऽजिते॑ । भ॒र॒ । इन्द्रा॑य । सोम॑म् । य॒ज॒ताय॑ । ह॒र्य॒तम् ॥
हेअध्वर्यो इन्द्राय सोमम्भर सम्पादय कीदृशायविश्वजिते सर्वस्यजेत्रे तदेवप्रपञ्चयतिधनजिते शत्रु विजयेनतदीयधनानाञ्जेत्रे स्वर्जिते स्वर्गस्यजेत्रे अधिपतये सत्राजिते सत्रासन्ततं जयशीलायमहतोजे त्रेवा नृजिते नृणान्नायकानाञ्जेत्रे उर्वराजिते उर्वरासर्वसस्याढ्याभूः तस्याजेत्रे अश्वजिते गोजितेबले नापहृतानाङ्गवाञ्जेत्रे अज्निते वृत्रेणाक्रान्तानामपाञ्जेत्रे यजताय यजनियाय तस्माइन्द्रायहर्यतं हर्यग तिकान्त्योः भृमृदुशीत्यादिनाकर्मण्यतच् कमनियं स्पृहणीयंवा सोमम्भरेतिसमन्वयः ॥ १ ॥
“Bring the desired Soma to the adorable Indra the lord of all, the lord of wealth, the lord of heaven, the perpetual lord, the lord of man, the lord of earth, the lord of horses, the lord of cattle, the lord of water.”
To him the Lord of all, the Lord of wealth, of light; him who is Lord for ever, Lord of men and tilth,
Him who is Lord of horses, Lord of kine,of floods, to Indra, to the Holy bring sweet Soma juice.
To him winning everything: winning the stakes, winning the sun; to him winning in every way, winning men, winning fields;
to him winning horses, winning cattle, winning waters; to Indra, worthy of the sacrifice, bring his beloved soma.
Dem Allbesieger, der erbeutet alles Gut an Beute, Glanz, an Männern und an Feldern auch, Der Rosse, Rinder und Gewässer sich gewinnt, dem hehren Indra bring' den lieben Soma dar.
Ihm, der alles ersiegt, Beute ersiegt, Sonnenlicht ersiegt, völlig besiegt, Männer besiegt, Ackerland ersiegt, Rosse, Rinder, Gewässer ersiegt, dem opferwürdigen Indra bringe den begehrten Soma dar!
Завоевывающему все, завоевывающему добычу, завоевывающему небо,
Завоевывающему всегда, завоевывающему мужей, завоевывающему пашню,
Завоевывающему коней, завоевывающему коров, завоевывающему воды –
Индре, достойному жертв, принеси желанного сому!

अभिभुवे सर्वस्याभिभवित्रे अभिभङ्गायअसुराणाम्भच्चकाय वन्वतेवनषणसम्भक्तौ व्यत्ययेनउप्र- त्ययः शत्रूणान्धनानांसम्भक्ते अषाह्ळाय सहेःकर्मणिनिष्ठा उत्वाभावश्छान्दसः शत्रुभिरनभिभूतायस हमानायसर्वंसहायवेधसे सर्वस्यविधात्रेतुविग्रये पूर्णग्रीवाय यद्वा गॄशब्दे औणादिकः कर्मणिकप्रत्ययः तुविभिर्बहुभिःस्तोतव्यायवह्वयेसर्वस्यवोढ्रेदुष्टरीतवेअन्यैर्दुस्तरायदुर्हिंसायवासत्रासहेसर्वदाभिभवि त्रेमहतोभिभवित्रेवा एव्ंविधायेन्द्रायनमः नमः शब्दपूर्वकंस्तोत्रंवोचत हेस्तोतारोयूयम्ब्रूत ब्रूञोलुङि ब्रुवोवचिः अस्यतिवक्तिख्यातिभ्योङित्यङादेशः वचउमित्युम् गुणः ॥ २ ॥
“Offer adoration to Indra, the overcomer, the destroyer, the munificent, the invincible, the all-enduring, the creator, the all-adorable; the sustainer, the unassailable, the ever-victorious.”
To him the potent One, who conquers and breaks down, the Victor never vanquished who disposes all,
The migbty-voiced, the rider, unassailable, to Indra everconquering speak your reverent prayer.
To him dominating, breaking, conquering, to the never-overpowered, overpowering adept;
to him, the powerfully spirited draft-horse, impossible to surpass; to him overpowering in every way—to Indra speak homage.
Dem übermächt'gen, der bezwinget und zerbricht, dem unbesiegten Sieger, welcher treulich sorgt, Der viel verschlinget, stürmend, unbezwingbar ist, dem Allbezwinger Indra bringt Verehrung dar.
Dem überlegenen, zerstörenden, gewinnenden, unbezwungenen Bezwinger, dem Meister, dem lautrufenden, unüberwindlichen Wagenlenker, dem völlig bezwingenden Indra sprechet ein Huldigungswort!

स॒त्रा॒ऽस॒हः । ज॒न॒ऽभ॒क्षः । ज॒न॒म्ऽस॒हः । च्यव॑नः । यु॒ध्मः । अनु॑ । जोष॑म् । क्षि॒तः । वृ॒त॒म्ऽच॒यः । सहु॑रिः । वि॒क्षु । आ॒रि॒तः । इन्द्र॑स्य । वोच॑म् । प्र । कृ॒तानि॑ । वी॒र्या॑ ॥
सत्रासाहः बहूनामभिभविताजनभक्षः जनानांयजमानानाङ्कामप्रदानेनसम्भक्ता तैःसम्भजनीयइति वा जनंसहःबलिनाञ्जनानामभिभविता च्यवनःशत्रूणाञ्च्यावयितास्वस्थानात् युध्मः योद्धा जोषमनु प्रीतिमनुउक्षितः सिक्तःसोमेन वृतञ्चयःवृतस्याभीष्टस्याचेतासञ्चेतादातेत्यर्थः यद्वा वर्ततेपुनःपुनरभि मुखमागच्छतीतिवृत् शत्रुः तञ्चयतेहिनस्तीतिवृतञ्चयः चयतिर्हिंसाकर्मा तथाचब्राह्मणं—योवैभागि नम्भागान्नुदतेचयतेवैनंसयदिवैनन्नचयतेथपुत्रमथपौत्रञ्चयतेत्वेवैनमिति । सहुरिः जसिसहोरुरिन्निति उरिन्प्रत्ययःअभिभविताशात्रूणांविक्षुप्रजासुआरितः पालकत्वेनप्रापितोभवति तादृशस्येन्द्रस्यक्रुतानि वृत्रहननादिरूपाणि वीर्यासामर्थ्यानिप्रवोचं प्रकर्षेणवदामि ॥ ३ ॥
“I proclaim the mighty exploits of that Indra, who is, ever victorious; the benefactor of man, the overthrower of (the strong) man, the caster down (of foes), the warrior, who is gratified by our libations, the granter of desires, the subduer of enemies, the refuge of the people.”
Still Victor, loved by mortals, ruler over men, o'erthrower, warrior, he hath waxen as he would;
Host-gatherer, triumphant, honoured mid the folk. Indra's heroic deeds will I tell forth to all.
He, overpowering in every way, consuming the peoples, and
overpowering the peoples; he, the fighter rousing to action, grown
strong at his pleasure;
he, punishing opposition, overcoming, and acknowledged among the clans—I shall proclaim Indra’s heroic deeds that he has done.
Der Allbezwinger der die Welt beherrscht, bezwingt, der mächt'ge Kämpfer wuchs, wie's ihm beliebt, empor, Der Schatzerbeuter siegreich von dem Volk geehrt; des Indra Heldenthaten will verkünden ich.
Völlig bezwingend, Menschen vertilgend, Menschen bezwingend, umstürzend, streitbar, nach Gutdünken groß geworden, als Heersammler, als Bezwinger unter den Stämmen anerkannt - des Indra vollbrachte Heldentaten will ich verkünden.
Всегда осиливающий, поглощающий людей, осиливающий людей,
Сотрясатель, боец, выросший в свое удовольствие,
Собирающий войско, известный среди племен как воинственный арья, –
Я хочу провозгласить совершенные подвиги (этого) Индры.

अ॒न॒नु॒ऽदः । वृ॒ष॒भः । दोध॑तः । व॒धः । ग॒म्भी॒रः । ऋ॒ष्वः । अस॑मष्टऽकाव्यः । र॒ध्र॒ऽचो॒दः । श्नथ॑नः । वी॒ळि॒तः । पृ॒थुः । इन्द्रः॑ । सु॒ऽय॒ज्ञः । उ॒षसः॑ । स्वः॑ । ज॒न॒त् ॥
अननुदः अनुपश्चाद्ददातीत्यनुदः आतश्चोपसर्गइतिकर्तरिकः सनास्तियस्यसतथोक्तः प्रभूतधनदाने नास्यसमानोनास्तीत्यर्थः अतएववृषभः कामानांवर्षितादोधतःदुधिर्हिंसाकर्मा हिंसकस्यासुरस्यवधः हन्तागम्भीरः महत्त्वेनगाम्भीर्योपितः ऋष्वः महान् यद्वा दर्शनीयः सर्वैः असमष्टकाव्यः अशूव्याप्तौ कर्म णिनिष्ठा उदित्त्वादिड्विकल्पः नञ् समासः अन्यैख्याप्तकर्मा रध्रचोदः रधहिंसासंराध्योः रध्राणांसमृ द्धानाम्प्रेरकः यद्वा शत्रूणांहिंसकानान्नोदकः श्नथनः शत्रूणाम्बलापहारेणशातयिता वीळितोदृढाङ्गः पृथुः स्वतेजसाजगद्भ्याप्यवर्तमानः सुयज्ञः सुकर्माएतादृशइन्द्रः उषसः स्वः सूर्यज्योतिः स्वःसूर्यइति हिब्राह्मणम् । सूर्यञ्चजनत् प्रादुश्चकार ॥ ४ ॥
“Unequalled in liberty, the showerer (of benefits), the slayer of the malevolent, profound, mighty, (endowed with) impenetrable sagacity, the dispenser of prosperity, the enfeebler (of foes), firm (of frame), vast (in bulk) the performer of pious acts, Indra has given birth to the light of the morning.”
The strong who never yields, who slew the furious fiend, the deep, the vast, of wisdom unattainable;
Who speeds the good, the breaker-down, the firm, the vast,-Indra whose rites bring joy hath made the light of Dawn.
The bull who cannot be pushed aside, the deadly blow against those raging; the deep and lofty one, whose verbal craft is unequalled;
spurring on the weak, piercing, firmly set and wide—Indra, whose
sacrifice is good, gives birth to the dawns and the sun.
Der nimmer weicht, der Held, der schlägt den Tobenden, der tiefe, hohe, unerreicht an Seherkraft, Des Müden Wecker, der Vertilger, stark und gross; an Opfern reich, schuf Indra Morgenroth und Licht.
Der unnachgiebige Bulle, der Tod des Widerspenstigen, unergründlich, überragend, von unerreichter Weisheit, dem Schwachen Mut machend, dreinschlagend, unnachgiebig, breit - Indra, der Opferherrliche, erzeugte die Morgenröten, die Sonne.
Тот, кто не уступает – бык – смертельное оружие против восставшего,
Глубокий, высокий, наделенный недосягаемым поэтическим даром,
Вдохновитель слабого, пронзающий, твердый, широкий -
Индра, получающий прекрасные жертвы, породил утренние зори, небо.
य॒ज्ञेन॑ गा॒तुम॒प्तुरो॑ विविद्रिरे॒ धियो॑ हिन्वा॒ना उ॒शिजो॑ मनी॒षिण॑: । अ॒भि॒स्वरा॑ नि॒षदा॒ गा अ॑व॒स्यव॒ इन्द्रे॑ हिन्वा॒ना द्रवि॑णान्याशत ॥
य॒ज्ञेन॑ । गा॒तुम् । अ॒प्ऽतुरः॑ । वि॒वि॒द्रि॒रे॒ । धियः॑ । हि॒न्वा॒नाः । उ॒शिजः॑ । म॒नी॒षिणः॑ । अ॒भि॒ऽस्वरा॑ । नि॒ऽसदा॑ । गाः । अ॒व॒स्यवः॑ । इन्द्रे॑ । हि॒न्वा॒नाः । द्रवि॑णानि । आ॒श॒त॒ ॥
धियोहिन्वानाः स्तुतीरिन्द्रेप्रेरयन्तः उशिजः इन्द्रङ्कामयमानाः मनीषिणोमेधाविनोङ्गिरसः अप्तु रः अपाम्प्रेरकाः इन्द्राद्गातुङ्गवाम्मार्गंयज्ञेनतपसाविविद्रिरे लेभिरे ततः अवस्यवः रक्षणमिच्छन्तः इन्द्रे गाः स्तुतीर्हिन्वानाः हिगतिवृद्भ्योः स्वादिः प्रेरयन्तः तेङ्गिरसः अभिस्वराअभितः स्वरः स्वरणंशब्द नंयस्यतेनस्तोत्रेणनिषदाउपसदनेनचद्रविणानिगोधनानिआशत आप्नुवन् अश्नोतेर्लुङि बहुलञ्छन्दसी तिविकरणस्यलुक् ॥ ५ ॥
“The wise Uśijas, celebrating his praises, have obtained by their sacrifice, from the sender of water (knowledge) of the path (of their cattle); seeking the aid of Indra, and celebrating his praises, they have acquired, whilst uttering hymns and offering adoration (valuable) treasures.”
By sacrifice the yearning sages sending forth their songs found furtherance from him who speeds the flood.
In Indra seeking help with worship and with hymn, they drew him to themselves and won them kine and wealth.
By means of the sacrifice, the fire-priests of inspired thinking, crossing the waters, found for themselves a way, sending forth their insights.
By their cry and assembly, seeking help (they obtained) cows; sending forth (their insights) to Indra, they obtained goods.
Durch Opfer schafften Heil sich die geschäftigen, Gebete sendend, weisheitsvoll die strebenden; Durch Anruf und Verehrung, ihrem Indra hold, erlangten, Hülfe suchend, Kühe sie und Schatz.
Durch Opfer fanden die Usij den Weg, die Gewässer überschreitend, ihren Gedanken Schwung gebend, nachsinnend. Unter Zuruf und Niedersitzen haben sie hilfesuchend, sich anspornend, von Indra die Kühe, die Schätze erlangt.
С помощью жертвы Ушиджи нашли выход,
(Они,) пересекающие воды, возбуждающие поэтическую мысль, мудрые.
Обращением (и) служением они, жаждущие помощи,
Возбуждающие (поэтическую мысль), добились у Индры коров, (и) богатств.
इन्द्र॒ श्रेष्ठा॑नि॒ द्रवि॑णानि धेहि॒ चित्तिं॒ दक्ष॑स्य सुभग॒त्वम॒स्मे । पोषं॑ रयी॒णामरि॑ष्टिं त॒नूनां॑ स्वा॒द्मानं॑ वा॒चः सु॑दिन॒त्वमह्ना॑म् ॥
इन्द्र॑ । ष्रेष्ठा॑नि । द्रवि॑णानि । धे॒हि॒ । चित्ति॑म् । दक्ष॑स्य । सु॒ऽभ॒ग॒त्वम् । अ॒स्मे इति॑ । पोष॑म् । र॒यी॒णाम् । अरि॑ष्टिम् । त॒नूना॑म् । स्वा॒द्मान॑म् । वा॒चः । सु॒दि॒न॒ऽत्वम् । अह्ना॑म् ॥
हेइन्द्र श्रेष्ठान्युत्तमानिद्रविणानिधनानिअस्मभ्यन्धेहि निधेहि दक्षस्य दक्षेर्भावेघञ् कर्मकरणसाम र्थ्यस्यचित्तिङ्ख्यातिन्धेहि अस्मेअस्मभ्यंसुभगत्वंशोभनधनत्वंसौभाग्यंवानिधेहि रयीणान्त्वयादत्तानां धनानाम्पोषंसमृद्धिन्धेहि तनूनामङ्गानां यद्वा तायतेएभिःकुलमितितन्वःपुत्राःतनोतेः करणेउप्रत्ययः तेषामरिष्टिंअहिंसान्धेहि तथास्मदीयायावाचः स्वाद्मानंस्वादुतांअह्नांसुदिनत्वंशोभनदिनत्वञ्चधेहि येषुहीन्द्रादयोदेवाइज्यन्ते तानिसुदिनानि तेषाम्भावःसुदिनत्वम् ॥ ६ ॥त्रिकद्रुकेष्वितिचतुरृचमेकादशंसूक्तं गार्त्समदमैन्द्रं अत्रेयमनुक्रमणिका त्रिकद्रुकेषुचतुष्कमष्ट्याद्य तिशाक्वरमन्त्याष्टिर्वेति आद्या अष्टिच्छन्दाः चतुःषष्ट्यक्षरा अवशिष्टाःषष्ट्यक्षराः अतिक्वशर्यःअन्त्या ष्टिर्वा षोडशिशस्त्रे त्रिकद्रुकेष्वितितृचः सूत्रितम्—त्रिकद्रुकेषुमहिषोयवाशिरम्प्रोष्वस्मैपुरोरथमितितृ चावातिच्छन्दसाविति अविवाक्येहनिमरुत्वतीयेप्र्तिपत्तृचस्यत्रिकद्रुकेष्वितिप्रथमा दशमेहनीतिख- ण्डेसूत्रितम्—आत्वारथंयथोतयइत्येतस्याःस्थानेत्रिक्द्रुकेषुमहिषोयवाशिरमिति इतिआश्वमेधिकेम ध्यमेहनिमरुत्वतीयेआद्या तस्यविशेषान्वक्ष्यामइतिखण्डेसूत्रितम्—त्रिकद्रुकेषुमहिषोयवाशिरमिति मरुत्वतीयस्यप्रतिपदिति महाव्रतेपिमाध्यन्दिनेसवनेब्राह्मणाच्छंसिनःस्तोत्रियस्तृचः त्रिकद्रुकेषुमहि षोयवाशिरमितिस्तोत्रियइतिसूत्रितम् ।
“Indra, bestow upon us most excellent treasures; (give us) the reputation of ability (to celebrate sacred rites); grant us prosperity, increase of wealth, security of person n, sweetness of speech, and auspiciousness of days.”
Indra, bestow on us the best of treasures, the spirit of ability and fortune;
Increase of riches, safety of our bodies, charm of sweet speech, and days of pleasant weather.
Indra, grant to us the best goods, the perception that belongs to
(sacrificial) skill, and the possession of a good share,
as well as a prospering of our riches, freedom from harm for our bodies, sweetness of our speech, and the blessing of good days for our days.
Die besten Schätze reich uns dar, o Indra, des Geistes Einsicht, stetes Glück und Wohlsein, Der Güter Mehrung und des Leibs Gesundheit, der Rede Liebreiz und das Glück der Tage.
Indra, gewähre uns die herrlichsten Schätze, Einsicht des Verstandes, Beliebtheit, Zunahme der Reichtümer, Unversehrtheit der Leiber, Anmut der Rede, glückliche Tage!
О Индра, дай нам самые лучшие богатства,
Постижение силы действия, благополучие,
Процветание богатств, невредимость (наших) тел,
Сладость речи, счастливое протекание дней!
