ऋषिगृत्समद (आङ्गिरसः शौनहोत्रः पश्चाद्) भार्गवः शौनकः

तुभ्यं॑ हिन्वा॒नो व॑सिष्ट॒ गा अ॒पोऽधु॑क्षन्त्सी॒मवि॑भि॒रद्रि॑भि॒र्नर॑: । पिबे॑न्द्र॒ स्वाहा॒ प्रहु॑तं॒ वष॑ट्कृतं हो॒त्रादा सोमं॑ प्रथ॒मो य ईशि॑षे ॥
तुभ्य॑म् । हि॒न्वा॒नः । व॒सि॒ष्ट॒ । गाः । अ॒पः । अधु॑क्षन् । सी॒म् । अवि॑ऽभिः । अद्रि॑ऽभिः । नरः॑ । पिब॑ । इ॒न्द्र॒ । स्वाहा॑ । प्रऽहु॑तम् । वष॑ट्ऽकृतम् । हो॒त्रात् । आ । सोम॑म् । प्र॒थ॒मः । यः । ईशि॑षे ॥
हेइन्द्र तुभ्यन्त्वदर्थंहिन्वानः प्रेर्यमाणः सोमः गाः गोविकाराणि दधिपयः प्रभृतीनिश्रपणद्र व्याणिवसतीवर्याख्याअपश्चवसिष्ट वस्ते आच्छादयति तैःसंयुज्यतइत्यर्थः नरोयज्ञस्यनेतारोध्वर्य वश्चसीमेनंसोमंअविभिः अवेर्वालमयैर्दशापवित्रैः अद्रिभिर्ग्रावभिश्चअधुक्षन्नक्षारयन् ग्रावभिरभिषु त्यदशापवित्रेणपुनन्तीत्यर्थः हेइन्द्र यस्त्वमीशिषेसर्वस्यजगतईश्वरोभवसि त्वम्प्रथमः अन्येभ्योदेवे भ्यःपूर्वभावीसन्स्वाहास्वाहाकारेणप्रहुतम्प्रकर्षेणाग्नौक्षिप्तंवषट् कृतंवषट् कारेणचत्यक्तम् तंसोमं होत्रात् होतुर्यागादासमन्तात्पिब ॥ १ ॥
“(The libation) that is being presented, Indra, to you, comprises the (products of the) cow, and he (consecrated) water; and the leaders (of the rite) have expressed it with stones, and strained it through woollen (filters); do you, Indra, who are the first (of the gods), and rule (over the world), drink the Soma offered by the Hotā, and sanctified by the exclamations svāhā and vaṣat.”
WATER and milk hath he endued, sent forth to thee: the men have drained him with the filters and the stones.
Drink, Indra, from the Hotar's bowlfirst right is thine-Soma hallowed and poured with Vasat and Svaha.
Being impelled for you, it has clothed itself in cows, in waters; the men have milked it with the stones through the sheep(’s wool).
At “Hail!,” o Indra, drink from the Hotar’s cup the soma poured out when the vaṣaṭ-cry is made—you who first have dominion over it.
In Milch und Wasser hat dein Trank sich eingehüllt; die Männer melkten durch die Seih' und Steine ihn; Zum Heil trink, Indra, den ergossnen Weihetrank aus Priesters Schal' den Soma, dein ist erster Trunk.
Für dich zur Eile getrieben hat er sich in Kuhmilch, in Wasser eingehüllt; die Männer haben ihn mit Steinen durch die Schafhaare gemolken. Trink, Indra - svaha! - den geopferten und mit Vasatruf gesegneten Soma aus dem Becher des Hotri, der du als erster das Anrecht darauf hast.
Погоняемый для тебя, он оделся в (молоко) коров, в воды.
Мужи выдоили его камнями, (очистив) через овечьи (цедилки).
Пей, о Индра – Свага! – возлитого (и) приготовленного под (возглас) Вашат!
Сому из кубка хотара, (ты,) кто имеет (на это) право первым!

हेमरुतः यज्ञैर्यागैः सम्मिश्लाः संयुक्ताः पृषतीभिः स्ववाहनभूताभिः पृषद्वतीभिर्वडवाभिर्युक्ते यामन्यामनिगमनसाधनेरथेवस्थिताः ऋष्टिभिः स्वकीयैरायुधैः शुभ्रासः शुभ्राः शोभमानाः उत शब्दश्चार्थे अञ्चिष्वाभरणेषुप्रियाश्चहेभरतस्यसूनवः सर्वस्यजगतोभर्तूरुद्रस्यपुत्राः दिवोनरः दिवो न्तरिक्षस्यनेतारः एवम्भूताहेमरुतः तेयूयम्बर्हिरास्तीर्णेबर्हिषिआसाद्योपविश्यपोत्रात् पोतुर्यागात्सो ममापिबत ॥ २ ॥ तृतीयसवनेअमेवनइत्येषानेष्टुः प्रस्थितयाज्या तथाचसूत्रितम्—अमेवनःसुहवाआहिगन्तनेन्द्रा विष्णूपिबतम्मध्वोअस्येति ।
“Maruts, together worshipped with sacrifices, standing in the car drawn by spotted mares, radiant with lances, and delighted by ornaments, sons of Bharata, leaders in the firmament, seated on the sacred grass, drink the Soma presented by the Potā.”
Busied with sacrifice, with spotted deer and spears, gleaming upon your way with ornaments, yea, our Friends,
Sitting on sacred grass, ye Sons of Bharata, drink Soma from the Potar's bowl, O Men of heaven.
Commingling with sacrifices, with your dappled (mares), with your spears, resplendent on your journey and in your ornaments, and dear, having sat on the ritual grass, you sons of Bharata, drink soma from the Potar’s cup, you men of heaven [=Maruts].
O Rudrassöhne, die zum Opfer ihr erscheint, mit Hirschen, Speeren, und beliebt auf eurer Fahrt, An Salben glänzend, setzt euch nieder auf die Streu; trinkt, Himmelsmänner, Soma aus des Rein'gers Fass.
Mit den Opfern, den scheckigen Antilopen und den Speeren eng verwachsen, auf der Fahrt fein geputzt und Freunde von Zieraten, setzet euch auf das Barhis, ihr Söhne des Bharata, trinket, ihr Mannen des Himmels, den Soma aus dem Becher des Potri!

इवशब्दोवधारणे हेसुहवाः शोभनाह्वानाः त्वष्टृप्रभृतयः नोस्मान् अमेवसहैवआगन्तन आग च्छत गमेश्छान्दसःशपोलुक् तप्तनप्तनथनाश्चेतितनबादेशः हिशब्दःपूरणः आगत्यचबर्हिषि वेद्या मास्तीर्णेनिषदतन निषण्णाभवत सदेश्छान्दसःसीदादेशाभावः उपविश्यच रणिष्टन रमध्वं रण शब्दार्थः अत्रक्रीडायांवर्तते धातूनामनेकार्थत्वात् अस्माच्छान्दसोलुङ् पूर्ववत्तनबादेशः अथानन्त रं हेत्वष्टः देवेभिरन्यैः देवैर्जनिभिर्देवपत्नीभिश्चसुमद्गणः शोभनगणस्त्वंअन्धसः सोमलक्षणस्यान्न स्य द्वितीयार्थेषष्ठी सोमलक्षणमन्नञ्जुजुषाणः सेवमानोमन्दस्व तृप्तोभव ॥ ३ ॥
“Do you, who are devoutly invoked, come to us together, and, seated on the sacrificial grass, enjoy your rest; and then, Tvaṣṭā, who head a brilliant cohort (come) with the gods and their wives, and rejoice being plural ased with the (sacrificial) food.”
Come unto us, ye swift to listen: as at home upon the sacred grass sit and enjoy yourselves.
And, Tvastar, well-content be joyful in the juice with Gods and Goddesses in gladsome company.
As if to home, come to us here, all you of easy call; then sit on the ritual grass and take pleasure.
Then, o Tvaṣṭar, become exhilarated on the stalk, having delighted in the call, flocking with the divine ones, (namely) the Wives (of the Gods).
Denn wie zur Heimat kommt ihr, gernerhörende, setzt auf die Streu euch nieder und ergötzet euch; Auch du erfreu geniessend an dem Kraute dich mit Göttern, Tvaschtar, und der Frauenschar gesellt.
So kommet denn zu uns wie nach Hause, ihr leicht zu Errufende; setzet euch auf das Barhis, seid fröhlich! Und berausche du dich gern am Trank, o Tvastri, mit dem lieben Gefolge der Götter und ihrer Frauen.

हेविप्र मेधाविन्नग्ने देवान् यष्टव्याअनिन्द्रादीन् इहास्मिन्यज्ञेआवक्षिआवह यक्षिच तान् यजच हेहोतः देवानामाह्वातः त्वं चउशन्नस्मदीयंहविः कामयमानःसन् त्रिषुयोनिषुस्थानेषुगार्हपत्या दिलक्षणेषुनिषद उपविश उपविश्यच प्रस्थितं होमार्थमुत्तरवेदिम्प्रत्यानीतंसोम्यंसोममयम्मधुप्रति वीहि प्रतिकामयस्व कामयित्वाचआग्नीध्रादग्नीध्रयागात् सोमम्पिब पीत्वाचतवभागस्य त्वदीये नभागेन तृप्णुहितृप्तोभव ॥ ४ ॥
“Sage Agni, bring hither the gods, and sacrifice to them; invoker of the gods, propitious to us, sit down in the three altars; accept the libation of Soma that is offered to you, from the Agnidhra and be satisfied with your portion.”
Bring the Gods hither, Sage, and offer sacrifice: at the three altars seat thee willingly, O Priest.
Accept for thy delight the proffered Soma meath: drink from the Kindler's bowl and fill thee with thy share.
Convey the gods hither, you inspired poet, and perform sacrifice. Willingly, o Hotar, sit down in your three wombs.
Receive the somian honey that has been set forth. Drink from the
Agnīdh’s cup. Reach satiety from your portion. [=Agni]
O weiser fahr die Götter her, verehre sie; auf die drei Schösse setz', o Priester, willig dich; Nimm auf in dich das dargereichte Somasüss, aus Zünders Schale trink dein Theil und sätt'ge dich.
Fahr die Götter hierher, du Redekundiger, und opfere ihnen! Nimm willig Platz, o Hotri, auf den drei Sitzen! Nimm die vorgesetzte somische Süßigkeit entgegen; trink aus dem Becher des Agnidh, erlabe dich an deinem Anteil!
Привези сюда богов, о поэт, принеси (им) жертвы!
С готовностью, о хотар, опустись на три лона!
Радостно прими предложенную сладость сомы!
Пей из кубка агнидха, насыщайся твоей долей!

हेइन्द्र स्यः सः एषसोमः तेतवतन्वः शरीरस्यनृम्णवर्धनः बलस्यवर्धकः तुभ्यंसुतइत्युत्तरत्र सम्बन्धः येनसोमेनप्रदिविपुराणेत्वयिबाह्वोर्हस्तयोः सहपरेषामभिभवनलक्षणंसामर्थ्यंओजस्तत्का रणभूतम्बलञ्चहितः निहितम्भवति लिङ्गव्यत्ययः हेमघवन्धनवन्निन्द्र तुभ्यन्त्वदर्थन्तादृशः सोमः सुतोध्वर्युभिरभिषुतः तुभ्यंहोतुंआभृतः उत्तरवेद्याम्प्रत्याहृतश्च अस्यइमं सोमं ब्राह्मणात् ब्राह्मणा च्छंसिनोयागात् तृपत् तृप्यंस्त्वंआपिब आभिमुख्येनपिब क्रियाग्रहणङ्कर्तव्यमितिकर्मणः सम्प्रदान त्वादस्येतिचतुर्थ्यर्थेषष्ठी ॥ ५ ॥
“This (libation), Indra, is the augmenter of your bodily (vigour), favourable of old to the resistless strength of (your) arms; it is effused, Maghavan, for you; it is brought to you from the Brāhmaṇa; do you drink and be satisfied.”
This is the strengthener of thy body's manly might: strength, victory for all time are placed within thine arms.
Pressed for thee, Maghavan, it is offered unto thee: drink from the chalice of this Brahman, drink thy fill.
This one here strengthens the manly powers of your body; as might, as strength it was laid in your arms (already) on a distant day.
For you it is pressed, bounteous one, for you it is borne here—you, drink it to satiety from the Brahman’s cup. [=Indra/Br̥haspati]
Der Soma hier vermehret deines Leibes Kraft, von je ist Sieg und Kraft in deinen Arm gelegt; Gepresst ist er und dir gereicht, o mächtiger, trink zur Genüge aus des Beters Schale ihn.
Dieser Soma ist der Mutmehrer deines Leibes. Als Kraft und Stärke ist er schon vor alters in deine Arme gelegt. Für dich, du Gabenreicher, ist er gepreßt, für dich aufgetragen. Trink du dich daran satt aus dem Becher des Brahman!
Этот самый (сома) увеличивает мужество твоего тела.
От века он вложен в (твои) руки как сила (и) мощь.
Для тебя выжатый (сома), о щедрый, для тебя принесен.
Испей ты его досыта из кубка брахмана!

हेमित्रावरुणौं मदीयमिमंयज्ञं जुषेथांसेवेथां मेममहव्स्यहवमाह्वानम्पूर्ववत्कर्मणिषष्ठी बोधत मवगच्छतं तथासत्तोनिषण्णोस्मदीयोहोतापूर्व्याश्चिरन्तनीः निविदः वाङ्गामैतत् शस्त्रलक्षणा वाचः अनुशंसन्तीतिशेषः उद्गातृभिः क्रुतस्यस्तोत्रस्यानुगुण्येनआज्यादीनि शस्त्राणिशंसतीत्यर्थः अपिच नमः सोमलक्षणमन्नंआवृतंऋत्विग्भिर्वेष्टितंराजानाराजमानौयुवांअच्छाभिमुख्येनएतिगच्छ ति प्राप्नोति तादृशं सोम्यं सोममयम्मधुमादकंहविः प्रशास्त्रात् प्रशास्तुर्यागात् आपिबतं आभिमुख्येनपिबतम् ॥ ६ ॥वेदार्थस्यप्रकाशेनतमोहार्दन्निवारयन् । पुमर्थांश्चतुरोदेयाद्विद्यातीर्थमहेश्वरः ॥ १ ॥इतिश्रीमद्राजाधिराजपरमेश्वरवैदिकमार्गप्रवर्तकश्रीवीरबुक्कभूपालसाम्राज्यधुरन्धरेण सायणा चार्येणविरचितेमाधवीयेवेदार्थप्रकाशेऋक्संहिताभाष्येद्वितीयाष्टकेसप्तमोध्यायः ॥ ७ ॥
“Mitra and Varuṇa, both be gratified with the sacrifice; hear my invocation as the seated Hotā repeats in succession the ancient praises; the (sacrificial) food encompassed (by the priests), attends the royal pair drink, both of you, the sweet Soma libation, offered by the Praśāstā.”
Accept the sacrifice; mark both of you, my call: the Priest hath seated him after the ancient texts.
My prayer that bids them come goes forth to both the Kings: drink ye the Soma meath from the Director's bowl.
You two, enjoy the sacrifice; take heed of my call. The Hotar is seated, following the ancient invitations [/nivids].
Homage goes to you two kings to turn (you) hither. From the Praśāstar’s cup drink the somian honey. [=Mitra and Varuṇa]
Geniesst das Opfer, merket beid' auf meinen Ruf, gesetzt hat sich der Priester nach dem alten Brauch; Zum Königspaar geht einzukehren mein Gebet, aus Ordners Schale trinkt den süssen Somatrank.
Genießet beide das Opfer, achtet auf meinen Ruf! Der Hotri hat sich niedergesetzt nach den vorausgehenden Einladungsworten. An die beiden Könige wendet sich die Huldigung. Trinket die somische Süßigkeit aus dem Becher des Prasastri!

Хотар сел вслед за предшествующими словами приглашения.
