ऋषिवामदेवो गौतमः

छन्दगायत्री
अग्रं॑ पिबा॒ मधू॑नां सु॒तं वा॑यो॒ दिवि॑ष्टिषु । त्वं हि पू॑र्व॒पा असि॑ ॥
अग्र॑म् । पि॒ब॒ । मधू॑नाम् । सु॒तम् । व॒यो॒ इति॑ । दिवि॑ष्टिषु । त्वम् । हि । पू॒र्व॒ऽपाः । असि॑ ॥
हे वायो त्वम् अग्रम् इन्द्रादिभ्यः पूर्वं मधूनां मधुररसानां सोमानां संबन्धिनं सुतम् अभिषुतं रसं पिब । कुत्रेति तदुच्यते । दिविष्टिषु दिवः स्वर्गस्य प्रापकेषु यज्ञेषु ।यद्वा । अस्माकं दिवः स्वर्गस्यैषणेषु निमित्तेषु । त्वं हि त्वं खलु पूर्वपा असि । हिशब्दः ‘देव दधिषे पूर्वपेयम्' (ऋ. सं. ७, ९२. १ ) इत्यादिमन्त्रान्तरप्रसिद्धिद्योतनार्थः । वायोरग्रपानं देवा वै सोमस्य राज्ञोऽग्रपेये न समपादयन्नहं प्रथमः पिबेयम् ' ( ऐ. ब्रा. २. २५) इत्यादिब्राह्मणे स्पष्टमाम्नातम् । तत्र हि वायुराजिं प्रथमं धावित्वाग्रपानं लब्धवान् ॥
“Drink first, Vāyu, the effused libation of the Soma at the rites that secure heaven, for you verily are the first drinker.”
DRINK the best draught of Soma-juice, O Vayu, at our holy rites:
For thou art he who drinketh first.
Drink the foremost of the honeys, the pressed (soma), o Vāyu, at the rituals of daybreak,
for you are the first drinker.
O trink der süssen Tränke Seim; den Saft, o Vaju, bei dem Fest; Denn dir gebührt der erste Trunk.
Trink, Vayu, die Blume der süßen Tränke, die bei den Morgenopfern gepreßte, denn du bist der Ersttrinker!

Ты ведь первый из пьющих!
श॒तेना॑ नो अ॒भिष्टि॑भिर्नि॒युत्वाँ॒ इन्द्र॑सारथिः । वायो॑ सु॒तस्य॑ तृम्पतम् ॥
श॒तेन॑ । नः॒ । अ॒भिष्टि॑ऽभिः । नि॒युत्वा॑न् । इन्द्र॑ऽसारथिः । वायो॒ इति॑ । सु॒तस्य॑ । तृ॒म्प॒त॒म् ॥
हे वायो नियुत्वान् नियुद्भिस्तद्वान् इन्द्रसारथिः इन्द्रसहायः सन् त्वं शतेन अपरिमितैः अभिष्टिभिः अभित एषणीयैः कामैर्निमित्तभूतैरागच्छेति शेषः । आगत्य च सुतस्य सुतमभिषुतं नः अस्मदीयं सोमं तृम्पतं पिबतं त्वमिन्द्रश्च । इन्द्रस्य साहित्यं ब्राह्मणे एवोक्तं -- तत्तुरीयभागिन्द्रोऽभवत्त्रिभाग्वायुः' इति, ‘तुरीये हैव संग्रहीतारो वदन्तेऽमुनैवानूकाशेन यदद इन्द्रः सारथिरिव भूत्वोदजयत्' ( ऐ. ब्रा. २. २५ ) इति वा ॥
“Vāyu, who are drawn by the Niyuts, and have Indra for charioteer, come (for the fulfilment) of our numerous wishes, and do you (and Indra) drink of the libation.”
Come, team-drawn, with thy hundred helps, with Indra, seated in the car,
Vaya, and drink your fill of juice.
With a hundred forms of help for us, (come,) provided with a team, having Indra as charioteer.
O Vāyu—may you both become sated on our pressed (soma).
Mit hundert Hülfen, Vaju, komm, mit Indra fahrend, vielbespannt; Ergötzet beide euch am Saft.
Mit hundert nahen Hilfen komm zu uns, mit den Niyutgespannen und mit Indra als Wagenlenker! Trinkt euch satt am Gepreßten, Vayu und Indra!
С сотней милостей, с упряжками (-дарами),
С Индрой-возницей, (приезжайте) к нам!
О Ваю (и Индра), насыщайтесь выжатым (соком)!
आ वां॑ स॒हस्रं॒ हर॑य॒ इन्द्र॑वायू अ॒भि प्रय॑: । वह॑न्तु॒ सोम॑पीतये ॥
आ । वा॒म् । स॒हस्र॑म् । हर॑यः । इन्द्र॑वायू॒ इति॑ । अ॒भि । प्रयः॑ । वह॑न्तु । सोम॑ऽपीतये ॥
हे इन्द्रवायू वां युवां सहस्रं हरयः सहस्रसंख्याका अश्वाः प्रयः अन्नं प्रति त्वरयन्तः सन्ति । अत्र हरिशब्दोऽश्वसामान्यवचनः । ते सोमपीतये आ वहन्तु ॥
“Indra and Vāyu, may a thousand steeds, eager for food, bring you to drink the Soma.”
May steeds a thousand bring you both, Indra. and Vayu, hitherward
To drink the Soma, to the feagt.
Indra and Vāyu, let your thousand fallow bays convey you here, to the pleasurable offering,
to drink the soma.
Es mögen tausend Rosse euch, o Indra-Vaju, zum Genuss, Zum Somatrunke fahren her.
Euch, Indra und Vayu, sollen tausend Falben zum Opfermahl fahren, um Soma zu trinken.
Да привезет вас тысяча
Буланых коней, о Индра-Ваю,
На жертвенную усладу для питья сомы!
रथं॒ हिर॑ण्यवन्धुर॒मिन्द्र॑वायू स्वध्व॒रम् । आ हि स्थाथो॑ दिवि॒स्पृश॑म् ॥
रथ॑म् । हिर॑ण्यऽवन्धुरम् । इन्द्र॑वायू॒ इति॑ । सु॒ऽअ॒ध्व॒रम् । आ । हि । स्थाथः॑ । दि॒वि॒ऽस्पृश॑म् ॥
हे इन्द्रवायू हिरण्यवन्धुरं हिरण्मयनिवासीधारकाष्ठोपेतं दिविस्पृशं द्युलोकम्पर्शिनं स्वध्वरं शोभनाध्वरवन्तं रथम् आ स्थाथः हि आस्थितौ खलु । यस्मादेवं तस्मादागच्छतमित्यर्थः । स्वध्वरं प्रत्यास्थाय इति वा व्याख्येयम् ॥
“Mount, Indra and Vāyu, the golden-seated chariot, propitious to sacrifice, soaring to heaven.”
For ye, O Indra-Vayu, mount the goldenseated car that aids
The sacrifice, that reaches heaven.
O Indra and Vāyu, the chariot with the golden chariot box, good for the ceremony,
touching heaven—because you will mount it—
Denn, Indra-Vaju, ihr besteigt den Wagen, der zum Himmel dringt, Den festlichen mit goldnem Sitz.
Besteiget darum den das Opfer verschönenden Wagen mit goldnem Sitze, der an den Himmel reicht, Indra und Vayu!
А потому взойдите на колесницу
С золотым сиденьем, о Индра-Ваю,
Украшающую (собой) обряд, касающуюся неба!
रथे॑न पृथु॒पाज॑सा दा॒श्वांस॒मुप॑ गच्छतम् । इन्द्र॑वायू इ॒हा ग॑तम् ॥
रथे॑न । पृ॒थु॒ऽपाज॑सा । दा॒श्वांस॑म् । उप॑ । ग॒च्छ॒त॒म् । इन्द्र॑वायू॒ इति॑ । इ॒ह । आ । ग॒त॒म् ॥
हे इन्द्रवायू पृथुराजसा प्रभूतबलेन रथेन दाश्वांसं दातारं यजमानम् उप गच्छतम् । तदर्थम् इह अस्मिन् यज्ञे आ गतम् आगच्छतम् ॥
“Indra and Vāyu, come with your very strong chariot to the sacrifice; come hither.”
On far-refulgent chariot come unto the man who offers gifts:
Come, Indra-Vayu, hitherward.
With that chariot of broad dimension come up to the pious one.
O Indra and Vāyu, come here.
O kommt auf dem weitschimmernden Gefährt zu dem Verehrer her, O Indra-Vaju, kommt hierher.
Mit dem breitförmigen Wagen kommet zum Opferspender; Indra und Vayu, kommet hierher!

इन्द्र॑वायू अ॒यं सु॒तस्तं दे॒वेभि॑: स॒जोष॑सा । पिब॑तं दा॒शुषो॑ गृ॒हे ॥
इन्द्र॑वायू॒ इति॑ । अ॒यम् । सु॒तः । तम् । दे॒वेभिः॑ । स॒ऽजोष॑सा । पिब॑तम् । दा॒शुषः॑ । गृ॒हे ॥
हे इन्द्रवायू अयं सोमः सुतः अभिषुतः । तं सोमं देवेभिः देवैः सजोषसा समानप्रीतौ दाशुषः हविर्दातुः गृहे यागशालायां पिबतम् ॥
“Indra and Vāyu, this (libation) is poured out sympathizing with the gods, drink it in the dwelling of the donor.”
Here, Indra-Vayu, is the juice: drink it, accordant with the Gods,
Within the giver's dwelling-place.
O Indra and Vāyu, here is the pressed (soma): in concert with the gods drink it in the house of the pious man.
Hier, Indra-Vaju, ist der Saft, den trinkt in des Verehrers Haus, Vereinigt mit der Götter Schar.
Indra und Vayu! Hier ist Soma gepreßt, den trinket einträchtig mit den Göttern im Hause des Opferspenders!
О Индра-Ваю, вот выжатый сок.
Единодушные с богами,
Пейте его в доме почитающего (вас)!
इ॒ह प्र॒याण॑मस्तु वा॒मिन्द्र॑वायू वि॒मोच॑नम् । इ॒ह वां॒ सोम॑पीतये ॥
इ॒ह । प्र॒ऽयान॑म् । अ॒स्तु॒ । वा॒म् । इन्द्र॑वायू॒ इति॑ । वि॒ऽमोच॑नम् । इ॒ह । वा॒म् । सोम॑ऽपीतये ॥
हे इन्द्रवायू वां युवयोः इह अस्मिन् यज्ञे प्रयाणं गमनम् अस्तु । इह अस्मिन्नेव यज्ञे वाँ सोमपीतये विमोचनम् अश्वानाम् अस्तु । पर्यवसानत एकार्थत्वेऽप्यादरार्थत्वादविरोधः ॥ ॥ २२ ॥
“Hither be your course; here, Indra and Vāyu, be the letting of your horses loose, for your drinking of the Soma.”
Hither, O Indra-Vayu, be your journey here unyoke your steeds,
Here for your draught of Soma juice.
Here be your advance, o Indra and Vāyu, (here) your unhitching, here for you to drink the soma.
Hier, Indra-Vaju, fahret vor, hier spannet eure Rosse aus, Zu eurem Somatrunke hier.
Hierher soll eure Ausfahrt sein, Indra und Vayu, hier euer Ausspann, um Soma zu trinken.
Да будет ваш выезд сюда,
О Индра-Ваю, (да будет) распрягание (коней)
Здесь, чтобы вы пили сому!
