ऋषिवामदेवो गौतमः

छन्दअनुष्टुप्
वायो॑ शु॒क्रो अ॑यामि ते॒ मध्वो॒ अग्रं॒ दिवि॑ष्टिषु । आ या॑हि॒ सोम॑पीतये स्पा॒र्हो दे॑व नि॒युत्व॑ता ॥
वायो॒ इति॑ । शु॒क्रः । अ॒या॒मि॒ । ते॒ । मध्वः॑ । अग्र॑म् । दिवि॑ष्टिषु । आ । या॒हि॒ । सोम॑ऽपीतये । स्पा॒र्हः । दे॒व॒ । नि॒युत्व॑ता ॥
हे वायो ते तुभ्यं शुक्रः व्रतचर्यादिना दीप्तोऽहं मध्वः मधुरं सोमरसम् ॥ कर्मणि षष्ठी ॥ अग्रम् इतरेभ्यः पूर्वम् अयामि आययामि॥ अयतिरन्तर्भावितण्यर्थः ॥ किमर्थम् । दिविष्टिषु दिवो द्युलोकस्यैषणेषु सत्सु हे देव वायो स्पार्हः स्पृहणीयस्त्वं नियुत्वता । नियुत् वायोः प्रतिनियतोऽश्वः । तेन साधनेन आ याहि सोमपीतये सोमपानाय ॥
“Purified (by holy acts) I bring to you, Vāyu, the Soma, first (offered to you at sacrifices) that seek to gain heaven; deity, who are ever longed over, come with your Niyut steeds to drink the Soma juice.”
Vayu, the bright is offered thee, best of the meath at holy rites.
Come thou to drink the Soma juice, God, longed-for, on thy team-drawn car.
Vāyu, the clear (soma) has been held out to you, the foremost of the honey, at the rituals of daybreak.
(Since you are) craved, drive here to drink the soma, o god, (on a
chariot) with a team.
Dir, Vaju, ward der helle Trank, der süsse Seim beim Fest gereicht; Zum Somatrunke komme her mit Vielgespann, begehrter Gott.
Vayu! Der geklärte Soma ist dir dargereicht, die Blume des Süßtrankes bei den Morgenopfern. Komm zum Somatrunk begehrt, o Gott, mit dem niyutbespannten Wagen!
О Ваю, чистый сок поднесен тебе,
Лучший сладкий (сок) на жертвоприношениях, ищущих неба.
Приезжай для питья сомы,
Желанный, о бог, с упряжками (-дарами)!
इन्द्र॑श्च वायवेषां॒ सोमा॑नां पी॒तिम॑र्हथः । यु॒वां हि यन्तीन्द॑वो नि॒म्नमापो॒ न स॒ध्र्य॑क् ॥
इन्द्रः॑ । च॒ । वा॒यो॒ इति॑ । ए॒षा॒म् । सोमा॑नाम् । पी॒तिम् । अ॒र्ह॒थः॒ । यु॒वाम् । हि । यन्ति॑ । इन्द॑वः । नि॒म्नम् । आपः॑ । न । स॒ध्र्य॑क् ॥
हे वायो त्वम् इन्द्रश्च एषां गृहीतानां सोमानां पीतिं पानम् अर्हथः । युवां हि खलु इन्दवः सोमाः यन्ति प्राप्नुवन्ति । निम्नं खातप्रदेशम् आपो न सध्र्यक् उदकानि यथा सहैव गच्छन्ति तद्वत् सर्वे सोमा युवां हि यन्ति ।
“Indra and Vāyu, you are fit for the drinking of these Soma libations, for the drops flow towards you as waters (run) together in a deep plural ce.”
O Vayu, thou and Indra are meet drinkers of these Soma-draughts,
For unto you the drops proceed as waters gather to the vale.
O Indra and Vāyu, you two have the right to the drinking of these soma drinks,
for the drops go to you like waters, converging, to the deep.
O Indra-Vaju, euch gebührt der Trunk der Somasäfte hier; Denn Indutränke gehn zu euch, wie alles Wasser rinnt zu Thal.
Indra und Vayu! Ihr habt ein Anrecht auf den Trunk dieser Soma´s, denn zu euch kommen diese Säfte wie die Gewässer vereint zum Tale.
О Индра и Ваю, вы имеете право
На питье этих соков сомы.
К вам ведь катятся капли (сомы)
Словно воды в низину – (все) в одну сторону!
वाय॒विन्द्र॑श्च शु॒ष्मिणा॑ स॒रथं॑ शवसस्पती । नि॒युत्व॑न्ता न ऊ॒तय॒ आ या॑तं॒ सोम॑पीतये ॥
वायो॒ इति॑ । इन्द्रः॑ । च॒ । शु॒ष्मिणा॑ । स॒ऽरथ॑म् । श॒व॒सः॒ । प॒ती॒ इति॑ । नि॒युत्व॑न्ता । नः॒ । ऊ॒तये॑ । आ । या॒त॒म् सोम॑ऽपीतये ॥
हे वायो त्वम् इन्द्रश्च हे शवसस्पती बलस्य पती शुष्मिणा बलवन्तौ नियुत्वन्ता नियुत्संज्ञकाश्ववन्तौ युवां सरथं समानमेव रथमारुह्येति शेषः। न ऊतये रक्षणाय सोमपीतये सोमपानायात्र आ यातम् आगच्छतम् । यद्वा । सरथमधितिष्ठतम् आरुह्य चायातमिति च वाक्यद्वयम् ॥
“Indra and Vāyu, who are lords of strength, vigorous and drawn by the Niyut steeds, come (riding in) the same car; drink the Soma for our protection.”
O Indra-Vayu, mighty Twain, speeding together, Lords of Strength,
Come to our succour with your team, that ye may drink the Soma juice.
O Vāyu and Indra, tempestuous ones, lords of power, on the same chariot,
provided with teams, drive here to help us, to drink the soma.
O Indra-Vaju, muthbegabt, auf gleichem Wagen, Herrn der Kraft, Mit Vielgespannen kommt zu uns, zur Labung und zum Somatrunk.
Vayu und Indra, die zwei Ungestümen, kommet auf dem gleichen Wagen, ihr Herren der Kraft, mit den Niyutgespannen, um uns die Gunst zu erweisen, zum Somatrunk!
О Ваю и Индра, двое неистовых,
На одной колеснице, о повелители силы,
С упряжками (-дарами) приезжайте
К нам на помощь, на питье сомы!
या वां॒ सन्ति॑ पुरु॒स्पृहो॑ नि॒युतो॑ दा॒शुषे॑ नरा । अ॒स्मे ता य॑ज्ञवाह॒सेन्द्र॑वायू॒ नि य॑च्छतम् ॥
याः । वा॒म् । सन्ति॑ । पु॒रु॒ऽस्पृहः॑ । नि॒ऽयुतः॑ । दा॒शुषे॑ । न॒रा॒ । अ॒स्मे इति॑ । ताः । य॒ज्ञ॒ऽवा॒ह॒सा॒ । इन्द्र॑वायू॒ इति॑ । नि । य॒च्छ॒त॒म् ॥
हे नरा नेतारौ हे यज्ञवाहसा यज्ञवाहकौ 'इन्द्रवायू याः पुरुस्पृहः बहुभिः स्पृहणीयाः नियुतः सन्ति अस्मे अस्मभ्यं दाशुषे हविर्दत्तवते यजमानाय मदर्थं ताः नियुतः नि यच्छतम् ॥ ॥ २३ ॥
“Leaders (of rites), conveyers of sacrifices, Indra and Vāyu, give to us for the offer (of the oblation), those Niyuts who are your (steeds), and are desired of many.”
The longed-for teams which ye possess, O Heroes, for the worshipper,
Turn to us, Indra-Vayu, ye to whom the sacrifice is paid.
Your teams, craved by many, which are for the pious, o men,
stop them by us, o Indra and Vāyu, you whose vehicle is the sacrifice.
Die Vielgespanne, die ihr habt, dem Frommen, Männer, vielbegehrt, Die euch zum Opfer fahren stets, die, Indra-Vaju, lenkt zu uns.
Eure vielbegehrten Gespanne und Gaben, die ihr für den Opfernden habt, ihr Herren, die haltet bei uns fest, Indra und Vayu, durch das Opfer hergeführt!

Что есть у вас для (вашего) почитателя, о двое мужей,
Удержите их для нас, о Индра-Ваю,
О те, кого привозят жертвы!
