ऋषिसुतंभर आत्रेयः
देवताअग्निः
मन्त्र6
छन्दगायत्री
अ᳓र्चन्तस् त्वा हवामहे
अ᳓र्चन्तः स᳓म् इधीमहि
अ᳓ग्ने अ᳓र्चन्त ऊत᳓ये
हे अग्ने त्वा त्वाम् अर्चन्तः पूजयन्तो वयं हवामहे आह्वयामः । अर्चन्तः स्तुवन्तो वयम् ऊतये रक्षणाय तर्पणाय वा त्वां समिधीमहि समिद्भिः संदीपयामः । अर्चन्त इति तृतीयं पदम् आदरातिशयार्थम् ॥
yearn for bounty manifold.
Praising we call 1 thee; praising let us kindle 1 thee, Agni, praising, for thy help.
Chanting, we invoke you; chanting, we would kindle you,
chanting, o Agni, for your help.
Dich Agni rufen preisend wir, und preisend zünden wir dich an, Zu unsrer Hülfe preisend dich.
Preisend rufen wir dich, preisend wollen wir dich entzünden, o Agni, dich zur Gnade preisend.
Воспевая, мы зовем тебя,
Воспевая, хотим зажечь,
О Агни, воспевая – для поддержки.
अग्ने᳓ स्तो᳓मम् मनामहे
सिध्र᳓म् अद्य᳓ दिविस्पृ᳓शः
देव᳓स्य द्रविणस्य᳓वः
द्रविणस्यवः द्रविणं धनमिच्छन्तो वयं दिविस्पृशः सूर्यरूपेणाकाशं व्याप्नुवतः देवस्य द्योतमानस्य अग्नेः सिध्रं पुरुषार्थानां साधकं स्तोमं स्तोत्रम् अद्य अस्मिन्नहनि मनामहे ब्रूमः ॥
Eager for wealth, we meditate Agni's effectual praise to-day,
Praise of the God who touches heaven.
Desirous of riches, we devise to-day an effective song of praise, of Agni the heaven-touching god 1.
For Agni we will conceive a praise song, an effective one today for him who touches heaven,
for the god, as we seek goods.
Des Agni Lob, das wohl gelingt, des Gottes, der zum Himmel dringt, Ersinnen Schatz begehrend wir.
Auf Agni erdenken wir heute ein Loblied, ein gelungenes auf ihn, der bis zum Himmel reicht, auf den Gott, die wir nach Reichtum verlangen.
О Агни, сегодня мы задумываем
Удачную хвалу для бога,
Касающегося неба, (мы,) жаждущие богатства.
अग्नि᳓र् जुषत नो गि᳓रो
हो᳓ता यो᳓ मा᳓नुषेषु आ᳓
स᳓ यक्षद् दइ᳓वियं ज᳓नम्
होता देवानामाह्वाता यः अग्निः मानुषेष्वा वसति सः अग्निः नः अस्माकं गिरः स्तुतीः जुषत सेवताम् । सोऽग्निः दैव्यं जनं देवसंबन्धिनं जनं यक्षत् यजतु ॥
May Agni, Priest among mankind, take pleasure in our songs of praise,
And worship the Celestial Folk.
May Agni take pleasure in our prayers, he who is the Hotri among men. May he sacrifice 1 to the divine host.
Agni is pleased at our songs—he the Hotar, who is here among the sons of Manu.
He will perform sacrifice to the divine race.
Die Lieder nehme Agni an, der bei den Menschen Priester ist; Der Götter Volk verehre er.
Agni möge an unserer Lobrede Gefallen finden, der der Opferpriester unter den Menschen ist. Er verehre das göttliche Volk.
Пусть Агни наслаждается нашей песней,
(Тот,) кто хотар среди людей.
Пусть он жертвует божественному роду!
त्व᳓म् अग्ने सप्र᳓था असि
जु᳓ष्टो हो᳓ता व᳓रेणियः
त्व᳓या यज्ञं᳓ वि᳓ तन्वते
हे अग्ने जुष्टः सर्वदा प्रीतः वरेण्यः सर्वैर्वरणीयः होता त्वं सप्रथाः सर्वतः पृथुः असि भवसि । तथाह यास्कः - ‘ सप्रथाः सर्वतः पृथुः ' ( निरु. ६. ७ ) इति । किंच सर्वे यजमानाः त्वया साधनेन यज्ञं वि तन्वते ॥
Thou, Agni, art spread widely forth, Priest dear and excellent; through thee
Men make the sacrifice complete.
Thou, O Agni, art widely extended, the gladly accepted, desirable Hotri; through thee they spread out the sacrifice.
You, o Agni, are spread wide as the pleasing Hotar to be chosen.
Through you they stretch out the sacrifice.
Weit ausgedehnt bist Agni du, ein lieber, schöner Opferer, Durch dich vollführt das Opfer man.
Du, Agni, bist weitbekannt als der beliebte, zu erwählende Opferpriester. Durch dich vollziehen sie das Opfer.
Ты, о Агни, широко распространяешься,
Довольный, избранный хотар.
Благодаря тебе (люди) протягивают жертву.
त्वा᳓म् अग्ने वाज-सा᳓तमं+++(←सन् दाने?)+++
वि᳓प्रा वर्धन्ति सु᳓-ष्टुतम् ।
स᳓ नो रास्व सुवी᳓र्यम् ॥
हे अग्ने विप्राः मेधाविनः स्तोतारः वाजसातमम् । वाजोऽन्नम् - तद्ददतं, सुष्टुतं पूर्वैः महर्षिभिः सम्यक् स्तुतं त्वां वर्धन्ति । स्तोत्रैर्वर्धयन्ति । सः त्वं नः अस्मभ्यं सुवीर्यं सर्वैः श्लाघनीयं बलं रास्व देहि ।
Singers exalt thee, Agni, well lauded, best giver of our strength:
So grant thou us heroic might.
The priests make thee grow, O Agni, the greatest acquirer of wealth, the highly praised one. Bestow thou on us abundance of heroes.
Thee, O Agni, best gainer of booty,
The sages nourish, well lauded;
Do thou give us wealth of heroes.
You, o Agni, best prizewinner, do the inspired poets make strong when you are well praised.
Give us an abundance of heroes.
Dich hochgelobten stärkt die Schar der Sänger, dich, der Kraft verleiht, So schenk uns, Agni, Heldenkraft.
Dich, Agni, der am meisten Gewinn einbringt, den Wohlgepriesenen erbauen die Redekundigen. Schenke du uns die Meisterschaft!
Тебя, о Агни, лучше всех захватывающего добычу,
Прекрасно восхваленного, подкрепляют вдохновенные.
Дай нам богатство из прекрасных героев!
अ᳓ग्ने नेमि᳓र् अराँ᳓ इव
देवां᳓स् त्व᳓म् परिभू᳓र् असि
आ᳓ रा᳓धश् चित्र᳓म् ऋञ्जसे
हे अग्ने त्वं देवान् परिभूरसि । स्वतेजसा परिभवसि । कथमिव । नेमिः प्रकाशमानः चक्रस्य बाह्यो वलयः अरानिव नाभावर्पितान् सूक्ष्मान् स्थासकानिव। किंच त्वं चित्रं नानाविधं राधः । राध्नुवन्ति साधयन्त्यनेन पुरुषार्थानिति राधो धनम् । आ ऋञ्जसे । स्तोतृभ्यः प्रसाधय । धननामसु पाठात् ‘राधो धनम्' इत्युक्तम् ॥ ॥ ५ ॥
Thou Agni, as the felly rings the spokes, encompassest the Gods.
Agni! Thou encompassest the gods as the felly (encompasses) the spokes (of a wheel). Thou strivest 1 for brilliant wealth.
O Agni, like a rim the spokes, you surround the gods.
I reach toward your shimmering generosity.
Wie Speichen rings des Rades Kranz, umfängst die Götter, Agni, du; Mir wünsch' ich glänzend Gut herbei.
Agni! Wie die Felge die Speichen so umfängst du die Götter. Ich trage nach ansehnlicher Belohnung Verlangen.
О Агни, словно обод – спицы (колеса),
Ты охватываешь богов.
Я стремлюсь к яркому дару!
