ऋषिपूरुरात्रेयः
देवताअग्निः

छन्दअनुष्टुप्
बृह᳓द् व᳓यो हि᳓ भान᳓वे
अ᳓र्चा देवा᳓य अग्न᳓ये
य᳓म् मित्रं᳓ न᳓ प्र᳓शस्तिभिर्
म᳓र्तासो दधिरे᳓ पुरः᳓
यज्ञे भानवे दीप्तिमते अग्नये बृहद्वयः हवीरूपमन्नं दीयते हि । अतस्त्वमपि देवाय द्योतमानाय अग्नये वयः अर्च प्रयच्छ । मर्तासः मनुष्याः यम् अग्निं मित्रं न सखायमिव प्रशस्तिभिः प्रकृष्टाभिः स्तुतिभिः पुरः दधिरे पुरस्कुर्वन्ति ॥
GREAT power is in the beam of light, sing praise to, Agni, to the God
Whom men have set in foremost place like Mitra with their eulogies.
Sing 1 (a song that gives) mighty vital power, to the light, to god Agni, whom the mortals have placed in front 2 like Mitra by their praises 3.
Because there is lofty vitality for radiance, chant to the god Agni, whom mortals have installed to the fore, like Mitra, with their
proclamations.
Zum Hochgenuss dem strahlenden, dem Gotte Agni sing' ich nun, Den durch ihr Lob die Sterblichen gleich einem Freunde hoch geehrt.
So singe denn dem göttlichen Licht Agni hohe Lebenskraft zu, dem die Sterblichen mit Lobeserhebungen den Vorsitz gaben wie einem Freunde dem Mitra!
Я хочу воспеть (его) высокую жизненную силу –
Пламени, богу Агни,
Которого, словно Митру, смертные
С помощью восхвалений поставили впереди.
स᳓ हि᳓ द्यु᳓भिर् ज᳓नानां᳐
हो᳓ता द᳓क्षस्य बाहुवोः᳓
वि᳓ हव्य᳓म् अग्नि᳓र् आनुष᳓ग्
भ᳓गो न᳓ वा᳓रम् ऋण्वति
यः अग्निः हव्यं हविः आनुषक् देवेष्वनुषक्तं करोति बाह्रोः भुजयोः दक्षस्य बलस्य द्युभिः द्युतिभिर्युक्तः सः अग्निः जनानां यजमानानां होता देवानामाह्वाता भवति । भगो न सूर्य इव वारं वरणीयं धनं वि ऋण्वति विशेषेण प्रयच्छति मनुष्येषु ॥
He by the splendour of his arms is Priest of every able man.
Agni conveys oblation straight, and deals, as Bhaga deals, his boons.
For he, Agni, the Hotri of men, day by day, in the arms of Daksha, discloses the offering in the due way, as Bhaga 1 (discloses) a treasure.
Because he is the Hotar of the peoples in the arms of skill throughout the days,
Agni allots the oblation in the proper sequence, like Bhaga a wish.
Denn Agni giesset Tag für Tag Kraft in der Menschen Arm hinein; Den Guss erschliesst er fort und fort, wie seinen Schatz ein reicher Herr.
Denn er wurde als der Opferpriester der Menschen mit Tagesanbruch erzeugt in den Armen des geschickten Daksa. Agni teilt nach Gebühr das Opfer aus wie Bhaga die Wunschgabe.
Ведь это он все дни как хотар

अस्य᳓ स्तो᳓मे मघो᳐᳓नः
सखिये᳓ वृद्ध᳓शोचिषः
वि᳓श्वा य᳓स्मिन् तुविष्व᳓णि
स᳓म् अर्ये᳓ शु᳓ष्मम् आदधुः᳓
मघोनः मघवतो धनवतः वृद्धशोचिषः । वृद्धानि प्रवृद्धानि शोचींषि तेजांसि यस्यासौ बृद्धशोचिः । तस्यैवंविधस्याग्नेः स्तोमे स्तोत्रे सख्ये च स्याम। तुविष्वणि बहुशब्दे अर्ये स्वामिनि यस्मिन् अग्नौ विश्वा ॥ ‘ सुपां सुलुक्° ' इति डादेशः ॥ विश्वे सर्वे ऋत्विजः शुष्मं बलं हविर्भिः स्तोत्रैश्च सम् आदधुः सम्यगादधति ॥
All rests upon the laud and love of him the rich, high-flaming God,
On whom, loud-roaring, men have laid great strength as on a faithful friend.
(We abide [?]) in his praise, the liberal (god's), in his friendship, the mightily brilliant one's, in whom, the loudly roaring Aryan, all (beings) have put together their strength.
At our praise of this generous one and in our companionship with him full-flamed,
our mightily roaring compatriot, in whom all (beings) have placed
unbridled strength—
In seiner Freundschaft, seinem Preis, des reichen, hochaufflammenden, Des rauschenden, steht alle Welt, da sie dem treuen Kraft verliehn.
In seinem Preis, in der Freundschaft des Freigebigen, dessen Glut erstarkt ist, wollen wir bleiben, des lauttönenden Herrn, in dem alle Wesen ihren Ungestüm vereinigt haben.
(Пусть пребываем мы) в его восхвалении, в дружбе
Со щедрым (богом), с усилившимся пламенем,
С громким треском, (с богом,) в котором все
(Существа) соединили (свою) ярость, с благородным!
अ᳓धा हि᳓ अग्न एषां᳐
सुवी᳓रियस्य मंह᳓ना
त᳓म् इ᳓द् यह्वं᳓ न᳓ रो᳓दसी
प᳓रि श्र᳓वो बभूवतुः
हे अग्ने अध अथ एषाम् अस्माकं यजमानानां सुवीर्यस्य सर्वैः स्पृहणीयस्य बलस्य मंहना मंहनायै दानाय भव ॥ मंहतिर्दानकर्मा ॥ रोदसी द्यावापृथिव्यौ यह्वं न महान्तं सूर्यमिव श्रवः सर्वैः श्रवणीयं तमित् तमग्निमेव परि बभूवतुः परिगृह्णीतः ॥
So, Agni, be the Friend of these with liberal gift of hero strength.
Yea, Heaven and Earth have not surpassed this Youthful One in glorious fame.
For verily, O Agni, (thou belongest [?]) to them 1 through thy bounteousness 2 in (bestowing) abundance of heroes. Him indeed, the vigorous one, his glory the two worlds could not encompass 3.
For then, o Agni, (you are) ready to give abundant heroes to these (your companions)—
the two world-halves do not encompass him, though youthful, nor his fame.
Denn so wird ihnen auch zu Theil, o Agni, hohe Heldenkraft; Wie einen Sohn umfangen ihn die Welten beid' und seinen Schatz.
Denn dann wird ihnen die reiche Gabe der Meisterschaft, o Agni. Ihn, den Jüngsten, übertreffen an Ruhm beide Welten nicht.
И ведь им, о Агни, (достается)
Щедрый дар, состоящий из прекрасных мужей.
Это его, словно (мать) – юное (дитя), обнимают
Обе половины вселенной, (наделяя) славой.
नू᳐᳓ न ए᳓हि वा᳓रियम्
अ᳓ग्ने गृणान᳓ आ᳓ भर
ये᳓ वयं᳓ ये᳓ च सूर᳓यः
सुअस्ति᳓ धा᳓महे स᳓चा
उतइ᳓धि पृत्सु᳓ नो वृधे᳓
हे अग्ने गृणानः स्तूयमानः सन् नु क्षिप्रम् एहि । यज्ञं प्रत्यागच्छ । अगत्य च नः अस्मभ्यं वार्यं वरणीयं धनम् आ भर संपादय । ये वयं यजमानाः ये च सूरयः स्तोतारः सचा हविर्भिः सहिता उभे ये वयं स्वस्ति स्तोत्रं धामहे कुर्मः । उत अपि च पृत्सु पृतनासु नः अस्माकं वृधे समृद्धये एधि भव ॥ ॥ ८ ॥
O Agni, quickly come to us, and, glorified, bring precious wealth.
So we and these our princes will assemble for the good of all. Be near in fight to prosper us.
Now then, Agni, come hither and, being praised, bring treasure 1 to us who, we ourselves and our liberal givers, may acquire welfare together. And help us to grow strong in fights.
Now come to us! Being sung, o Agni, bring here a desirable reward to us and our patrons, who together will receive well-being.
– And be present to strengthen us in battles.
Komm her nun, bring, gepriesener, uns Agni schönes Gut herbei; Lass uns und diese Opferherrn empfangen Segen allesammt und sei in Schlachten uns zum Heil.
Nun komm zu uns; bring, o Agni, gepriesen wünschenswertes Gut mit! Wir selbst und die Opferherren wollen zusammen Glück erlangen - und sei du uns zur Stärkung in den Kämpfen!
Приди же сейчас к нам, о Агни!
Воспетый, принеси желанный дар!
Пусть и мы, и (наши) покровители
Добьемся вместе счастья!
А также будь (готов) усилить нас в боях!
