Sukta 5.24
ऋषिगौपायना लौपायना वा बन्धुः सुबन्धुः श्रुतबन्धुर्विप्रबन्धुश्च
देवताअग्निः
मन्त्र4
छन्दद्विपदा विराट्
अ᳓ग्ने तुवं᳓ नो अ᳓न्तम
उत᳓ त्राता᳓ शिवो᳓ भवा वरूथ्यः᳡
हे अग्ने वरूथ्यः वरणीयः संभजनीयः । यद्वा । वरूथैः परिधिभिर्वृतः त्वं नः अस्माकम् अन्तमः अन्तिकतमः भव । उत अपि च त्राता रक्षकः शिवः सुखकरश्च भव ।
O AGNI, be our nearest Friend, be thou a kind deliverer and a gracious Friend.
Agni, be thou our nearest (friend) and our kind, protecting guardian.
O Agni, be our nearest and our kind rescuer, providing (us) a shield.
O Agni, sei recht nahe uns, und sei ein holder Retter, ein Beschirmer;
Agni! Sei du unser Vertrauter und freundlicher schirmhafter Schützer!

Добрый Агни, с доброй славой...
Доберись до (нас), надели самым сверкающим богатством!
व᳓सुर् अग्नि᳓र् व᳓सुश्रवा
अ᳓छा नक्षि द्युम᳓त्तमं रयिं᳓ दाः
वसुः वासकः अग्निः सर्वेषामग्रणीः वसुश्रवाः व्याप्तान्नस्त्वम् अच्छ आभिमुख्येन नक्षि अस्मान् व्याप्नुहि द्युमत्तमम् अतिशयेन दीप्तिमन्तं रयिं पश्वादिलक्षणं धनं दाः अस्मभ्यं देहि ॥
Excellent Agni, come thou nigh to us, and give us wealth most splendidly renowned.
Agni is Vasu, renowned as Vasu (or, renowned by goods). Obtain, (and) bestow (on us), most brilliant wealth 1.
Agni is good and famed for goods. Arrive here and give the most brilliant wealth.
Als guter Agni, Gut-berühmt, komm her und gib uns allerschönsten Reichthum.
Gut ist Agni, von gutem Rufe. Komm herbei, schenk uns glänzendsten Reichtum!
स᳓ नो बोधि श्रुधी᳓ ह᳓वम्
उरुष्या᳓ णो अघायतः᳓ समस्मात्
हे अग्ने सः त्वं नः अस्मान् बोधि बुध्यस्व । हवम् अस्मदीयमाह्वानं श्रुधि शृणु । अघायतः अघमिच्छतः समस्मात् सर्वस्माजनात् नः अस्मान् उरुष्य रक्ष ।
So hear us, listen to this call of ours, and keep us far from every sinful man.
Listen to us then; hear our call; deliver us from every harmful man.
Be attentive to us, and hear our summons. Give us freedom from anyone who wishes evil.
So acht' auf uns und hör den Ruf und schaff uns Raum vor jedem schlechtgesinnten;
Acht auf uns, erhöre den Ruf, befreie uns von jeglichem Böswilligen!
-4 Заметь нас! Услышь (наш) зов!
Избавь нас от любого злоумышляющего!
К тебе, о самый пламенный, о сверкающий,
Мы обращаемся сейчас за милостью для (наших) друзей.
तं᳓ त्वा शोचिष्ठ दीदिवः
सुम्ना᳓य नून᳓म् ईमहे स᳓खिभ्यः
शोचिष्ठ अतिशयेन शोचिष्मन् दीदिवः स्वतेजोभिर्दीप्ताग्ने तं त्वां सुम्नाय सुखाय । सुम्नमिति सुखनाम् । तदर्थं सखिभ्यः समानख्यातिभ्यः पुत्रेभ्यः तदर्थं च नूनम् ईमहे याचामहे ॥ ॥ १६ ॥
To thee then, O Most Bright, O Radiant God, we come with prayer for happiness for our friends.
We entreat thee now, O brightest, shining (Agni), for thy grace, for our friends.
Thee, O shining and most radiant one,
We implore for favour, for our friends;
O strongest-blazing, shining (Agni), we now beg you for your favor for (us, your) partners.
Denn dich, o hellster, leuchtender, begehren wir zum Heil nun für die Freunde.
So bitten wir dich, du Glühendster, Glanzvoller, jetzt um Wohlwollen für uns Freunde.
