ऋषिभरद्वाजो बार्हस्पत्यः

अ॒र्वाग्रथं॑ वि॒श्ववा॑रं त उ॒ग्रेन्द्र॑ यु॒क्तासो॒ हर॑यो वहन्तु । की॒रिश्चि॒द्धि त्वा॒ हव॑ते॒ स्व॑र्वानृधी॒महि॑ सध॒माद॑स्ते अ॒द्य ॥
अ॒र्वाक् । रथ॑म् । वि॒श्वऽवा॑रम् । ते॒ । उ॒ग्र॒ । इन्द्र॑ । यु॒क्तासः॑ । हर॑यः । व॒ह॒न्तु॒ । की॒रिः । चि॒त् । हि । त्वा॒ । हव॑ते । स्वः॑ऽवान् । ऋ॒धी॒महि॑ । स॒ध॒ऽमादः॑ । ते॒ । अ॒द्य ॥
हे उग्र उद्गूर्णबल इन्द्र युक्तासः रथेन युक्ताः हरयः अश्वा: ते त्वदीयं विश्ववारं विश्वैर्वरणीयं रथम् अर्वाक् अस्मदभिमुखं वहन्तु आनयन्तु । हि यस्मात् स्वर्वान्। स्वः सुष्ठु अरणीयं गुणजातम् । तद्वान् कीरिश्चित् स्तोता भरद्वाज ऋषिः त्वा त्वां हवते आह्वयति तस्मात् कारणात् त्वदीयं रथमभिमुखं वहन्त्वित्यर्थः । वयं च अद्य इदानीं ते त्वया सधमादः सह माद्यन्तः ऋधीमहि समृद्धा भवेम ॥
“Fierce Indra, let your harnessed steeds bring down your all-desired chariot; your devoted adorer verily invokes you; may we today, partaking of your exhilaration, increase today (in prosperity).”
LET thy Bay Horses, yoked, O mighty Indra, bring thy car hither fraught with every blessing.
For thee, the Heavenly, e'en the poor invoketh: may we this day, thy feast-companions, prosper.
Close to here let your yoked fallow bays convey your chariot, which brings all desirable things, mighty Indra,
for even the weakling calls upon you, (as well as the man) of solar glory. Might we achieve success as your feasting companions today.
Lass, mächt'ger Indra, die geschirrten Füchse herfahren deinen reichbeladnen Wagen; Denn dich ja ruft der glanzbegabte Dichter, lass heut gedeihn uns, deine Festgenossen.
Herwärts sollen deine allbegehrten Wagen die angeschirrten Falben fahren, gewaltiger Indra, denn auch der Arme ruft dich erleuchtet. Wir möchten als deine Trinkgenossen dir heute angenehm sein.
Сюда твою колесницу со всем желанным, о грозный
Индра, пусть привезут запряженные буланые кони:
Ведь даже совсем малый зовет тебя, озаренный светом!

प्रो द्रोणे॒ हर॑य॒: कर्मा॑ग्मन्पुना॒नास॒ ऋज्य॑न्तो अभूवन् । इन्द्रो॑ नो अ॒स्य पू॒र्व्यः प॑पीयाद्द्यु॒क्षो मद॑स्य सो॒म्यस्य॒ राजा॑ ॥
प्रो इति॑ । द्रोणे॑ । हर॑यः । कर्म॑ । अ॒ग्म॒न् । पु॒ना॒नासः॑ । ऋज्य॑न्तः । अ॒भू॒व॒न् । इन्द्रः॑ । नः॒ । अ॒स्य । पू॒र्व्यः । पा॒पी॒या॒त् । द्यु॒क्षः । मद॑स्य । सो॒म्यस्य । राजा॑ ॥
हरयः हरितवर्णाः सोमाः नः कर्म अस्मदीयं यज्ञं प्रो अग्मन् प्रकर्षेण गच्छन्ति प्राप्नुवन्ति । प्राप्य च पुनानासः पूयमानाः द्रोणे द्रोणकलशे ऋज्यन्तः ऋजु गच्छन्तः अभूवन् भवन्ति । पूर्व्यः पुरातनः द्युक्षः दीप्तेर्निवासभूतो द्युस्थानो वा मदस्य मदकरस्य सोम्यस्य सोमस्य राजा ईश्वर एवंभूतः इन्द्रः च अस्य इमं सोमं पपीयात् पिबतु ॥
“The green Soma flows at our sacrifice, and purified, proceed direct into the pitcher; may the ancient illustrious Indra, the soverign of the exhilarating Soma libation, drink of this our offering.”
Forth to the vat the brown drops flow for service, and purified proceed directly forward.
May Indra drink of this, our guest aforetime, Celestial King of the strong draught of Soma.
The fallow bays [=soma drops] have gone forth to their labor in the wooden cup, and while being purified, they have come to be charging straight on.
Indra should be the first to drink of this (soma) of ours, as the
heaven-ruling king of soma’s exhilaration.
Zum Werke schritten vor die goldgefärbten, sie schossen hin gereinigt in die Kufe; Von diesem unsern Somatranke trinke zuerst des Soma's lichter König, Indra.
In der Kufe sind die goldgelben Tränke an ihr Werk gegangen; sich klärend haben sie sich in gestreckten Lauf gesetzt. Indra soll uns als Erster von diesem Soma trinken, der himmlische König des somischen Rauschtrankes.
В сосуде, золотистые (соки) принялись за дело,
Они устремились вперед, очищаясь.
Пусть Индра первым у нас напьется его,
Небесный царь хмельного напитка из сомы!

आ॒स॒स्रा॒णासः॑ । श॒व॒सा॒नम् । अच्छ॑ । इन्द्र॑म् । सु॒ऽच॒क्रे । र॒थ्या॑सः । अश्वाः॑ । अ॒भि । श्रवः॑ । ऋज्य॑न्तः । व॒हे॒युः॒ । नु । चि॒त् । नु । वा॒योः । अ॒मृत॑म् । वि । द॒स्ये॒त् ॥
आसस्राणासः परितो गच्छन्तः रथ्यासः रथे युक्ता: अश्वाः ऋज्यन्तः ऋजुगमनाः सन्तः सुचक्रे शोभनचक्रे रथेऽवस्थितं शवसानं बलमिवाचरन्तम् इन्द्रं श्रवः श्रवणीयमस्मदीयं हविः अच्छ आभिमुख्येन अभि वहेयुः अवहेयुः । नू चित् इति निपातो निषेधेऽत्र वर्तते । अमृतम् अमरणहेतुभूतं सोमलक्षणं हविः वायोः हेतोः नु इदानीं 'नू चित् नैव वि दस्येत् क्षयं न प्राप्नुयात् । पात्रे गृहीतः सोमो वायुना शुष्यति ततः पुरैव तत्पानार्थमश्वा इन्द्रमभिवहेयुरित्यर्थः ॥
“May the everwhere-going, straight-proceeding, chariot-bearing seeds, bring the mighty Indra uin his strong-wheeled car to our rite; let not the ambrosial Soma waste in the wind.”
Bringing us hitherward all-potent Indra on well-wheeled chariot, may the Steeds who bear him
Convey him on the road direct to glory, and ne'er may Vayu's Amrta cease and fail him.
Making their run here, the chariot-horses should convey powerful Indra on (the chariot) with good wheels,
as they are charging straight on toward fame. Never should Vāyu’s
immortal (drink) give out.
Hereilend mögen den gewalt'gen Indra die Ross' am Wagen mit den schönen Rädern Im Lauf hinschiessend zu dem Kampfpreis fahren; nie mög' des Vaju Göttertrank uns ausgehn.
Hereilend sollen den gewaltigen Indra auf schönrädrigem Wagen die Wagenrosse gestreckten Laufes zum Ehrenpreis fahren. Niemals soll des Vayu Nektar ausgehen.
Пусть колесничные кони, стремительные в беге,
На прекрасноколой (колеснице) могущественного Индру
Привезут к славе, устремляясь вперед.

वरि॑ष्ठो अस्य॒ दक्षि॑णामिय॒र्तीन्द्रो॑ म॒घोनां॑ तुविकू॒र्मित॑मः । यया॑ वज्रिवः परि॒यास्यंहो॑ म॒घा च॑ धृष्णो॒ दय॑से॒ वि सू॒रीन् ॥
वरि॑ष्ठः । अ॒स्य॒ । दक्षि॑णाम् । इ॒य॒र्ति॒ । इन्द्रः॑ । म॒घोना॑म् । तु॒वि॒कू॒र्मिऽत॑मः । यया॑ । व॒ज्रि॒ऽवः॒ । प॒रि॒ऽयासि॑ । अंहः॑ । म॒घा । च॒ । धृ॒ष्णो॒ इति॑ । दय॑से । वि । सू॒रीन् ॥
वरिष्ठः उरुतमः तुविकूर्मितमः अतिशयेन बहुविधकर्मा इन्द्रो मघोनां मघवतां हविर्लक्षणधनोपेतानां मध्ये अस्य यजमानस्य दक्षिणां यज्ञे दातव्याम् इयर्ति प्रेरयति । यद्वा । मघोनामिति अस्येत्यनेन समानाधिकरणम् ॥ वचनव्यत्ययः । मघोनो हविष्मतोऽस्य यजमानस्येत्यर्थः । शेषः प्रत्यक्षकृतः । हे वज्रिवः वज्रवन्निन्द्र यया दक्षिणया दत्तया अंहः पापं यज्ञसंबन्धि परियासि विनाशयसि हे धृष्णो धर्षक मघा मघानि धनानि सूरीन् स्तोतॄन पुत्रांश्च यया च दक्षिणया वि दयसे प्रयच्छसि तादृशीं दक्षिणां प्रेरयसीत्यर्थः ॥
“The very strong Indra, the performer of many great deeds, instrumental gates the donation of this (instrumental tutor of the ceremony) among the opulent, whereby, wielder of the thunderbolt, you remove sin, and, firm of purpose, bestow riches upon the worshippers.”
Supreme, he stirs this man to give the guerdon,-Indra, most efficacious of the princes,-
Wherewith, O Thunderer, thou removest sorrow, and, Bold One! partest wealth among the nobles.
Indra, the most excellent, the most powerfully ranging of the bounteous ones, sets in motion his priestly gift—
with which, mace-bearer, you evade difficult straits and you apportion bounties to our patrons, bold one.
Der trefflichste, der wirkt von allen starken am besten, Indra, sendet seine Milchkuh, Mit der, o Blitzer, du Bedrängniss meidest und Schatz, o kühner, an die Fürsten austheilst.
So breit als möglich setzt Indra seine Ehrengabe in Bewegung, der Tätigste unter den Freigebigen, mit der du Keulenträger die Not umgehst, wenn du Mutiger die Gaben der reichen Gönner austeilst.
Самый широкий, он приведет в движение награду за жертву,
Индра, самый деятельный из щедрых,
С помощью которой ты, громовержец, обходишь узость,
Когда, о отважный, ты наделяешь дарами щедрых покровителей.
इन्द्रो॒ वाज॑स्य॒ स्थवि॑रस्य दा॒तेन्द्रो॑ गी॒र्भिर्व॑र्धतां वृ॒द्धम॑हाः । इन्द्रो॑ वृ॒त्रं हनि॑ष्ठो अस्तु॒ सत्वा ता सू॒रिः पृ॑णति॒ तूतु॑जानः ॥
इन्द्रः॑ । वाज॑स्य । स्थवि॑रस्य । दा॒ता । इन्द्रः॑ । गीः॒ऽभिः । व॒र्ध॒ता॒म् । वृ॒द्धऽम॑हाः । इन्द्रः॑ । वृ॒त्रम् । हनि॑ष्ठः । अ॒स्तु॒ । सत्वा॑ । आ । ता । सू॒रिः । पृ॒ण॒ति॒ । तूतु॑जानः ॥
अयम् इन्द्रः स्थविरस्य वाजस्य अन्नस्य बलस्य वा दाता भवतु । स च इन्द्रः वृद्धमहा: प्रवृद्धतेजस्कः सन् गीर्भिः अस्मदीयाभिः स्तुतिभिः वर्धताम् । सत्वा शत्रूणां शातयिता सः इन्द्रः वृत्रम् आवरकं शत्रुं हनिष्ठः हन्तृतमः अस्तु भवतु । अपि च सूरिः प्रेरकः स इन्द्रः तूतुजानः त्वरमाणः ता तानि धनानि आ पृणति अस्मभ्यं प्रयच्छतु ॥ ॥ ९ ॥
“Indra is the donor of substantial food; may the very illustrious Indra increase (in glory) through our praises; may Indra, the destroyer (of enemies), be the especial slayer of Vṛtra; may he, the animator the quick-mover, grant us those (riches which we desire).”
Indra is hewho gives enduring vigour: may our songs magnify the God Most Mighty.
Best Vrtra-slayer be the Hero Indra these things he gives as Prince, with strong endeavour.
Indra is the giver of the enduring prize. Let Indra increase through the songs, his greatness increased;
let Indra be the best smiter of Vr̥tra [/the obstacle] as a consummate warrior. Our patron brings these things to fulfillment as he keeps
thrusting.
Indra ist Geber dauerhaften Reichthums, der starke Indra wachse noch durch Lieder, Indra sei tapfrer, bester Feindetödter, das auch gewährt uns eifervoll der reiche.
Indra ist der Geber stattlichen Gewinnes, Indra soll sich an den Lobreden stärken, der Machterstarkte. Indra soll der Krieger sein, der am meisten Feinde erschlägt. Diese Wünsche erfüllt der edle Herr, sich beeifernd.
