ऋषिभरद्वाजो बार्हस्पत्यः

छन्दअनुष्टुप्
प्रत्य॑स्मै॒ पिपी॑षते॒ विश्वा॑नि वि॒दुषे॑ भर । अ॒रं॒ग॒माय॒ जग्म॒येऽप॑श्चाद्दघ्वने॒ नरे॑ ॥
प्रति॑ । अ॒स्मै॒ । पिपी॑षते । विश्वा॑नि । वि॒दुषे॑ । भ॒र॒ । अ॒र॒म्ऽग॒माय॑ । जग्म॑ये । अप॑श्चात्ऽदघ्वने । नरे॑ ॥
हे अध्वर्यो अस्मै इन्द्राय प्रति भर अभिहर । सोमं प्रयच्छेत्यर्थः । कीदृशायेन्द्राय । पिपीषते पातुमिच्छते विश्वानि सर्वाणि वेद्यानि विदुषे जानते अरंगमाय पर्याप्तगमनाय जग्मये यज्ञेषु गमनशीलाय अपश्चाद्दध्वने । दघिर्गतिकर्मा । अपश्चाद्गमनाय सर्वेषामग्रगामिने नरे नेत्रे यज्ञानाम् ॥
“Offer, (priests), the libation to him who is desirous to drink; who knows all things; whose movements are all-sufficient; who goes readily (to sacrifices); the leader (of holy rites), following no one.”
BRING sacrificial gifts to him, Omniscient, for he longs to drink,
The Wanderer who comes with speed, the Hero ever in the van.
Present (it) to him who desires to drink, who knows all things,
to the superior man who comes fittingly, who comes regularly, who does not lag behind.
Bring ihm, dem trunkbegierigen, dem weisen alle Tränke dar; Der hülfreich kommt, dem eilenden, dem Mann, der nie dahinten bleibt.
Ihm, der darnach dürstet, der alle Dinge kennt, biete den Soma an, dem pünktlich kommenden, nie zurückbleibenden Herrn!
Ему, желающему пить,
Знающему все (вещи), поднеси (сомы),
(Этому) появляющемуся, спешащему,
Не остающемуся позади мужу!
एमे॑नं प्र॒त्येत॑न॒ सोमे॑भिः सोम॒पात॑मम् । अम॑त्रेभिॠजी॒षिण॒मिन्द्रं॑ सु॒तेभि॒रिन्दु॑भिः ॥
आ । ई॒म् । ए॒न॒म् । प्र॒ति॒ऽएत॑न । सोमे॑भिः । सो॒म॒ऽपात॑नम् । अम॑त्रेभिः । ऋजी॒षिण॑म् । इन्द्र॑म् । सु॒तेभिः॑ । इन्दु॑ऽभिः ॥
हे अध्वर्यवः सोमेभिः सोमैः करणभूतैः सोमपातमम् अतिशयेन सोमस्य पातारम् एनम् इन्द्रम् आ अभिमुखं प्रत्येतन प्रतिगच्छत । ईम् इति निपातोऽनर्थकः । कीदृशमिन्द्रम् । अमत्रेभिः अमत्रैः सोमपात्रैर्ग्रहचमसादिभिः ऋजीषिणम् । ऋजीषं शत्रूणामुपार्जकं बलम् । तद्वन्तम् । यद्वा। ऋजीषिणमित्युत्तरत्र संबन्धनीयम् । सुतेभिः अभिषुतैः इन्दुभिः सोमैर्ऋजीषिणम् । गतसारः सोम ऋजीषः। तद्वन्तम् । अथवा अमत्रेभिरमत्रैरमात्रैः अपरिमितैरभिषुतैः सोमैर्ऋजीषिणम् ॥ ऋजेर्गत्यर्थाद्भावसाधन ऋजीषशब्दः । ततो मत्वर्थीय इनिः ॥ संगतमित्यर्थः । एवंविधमिन्द्रं प्रतिगच्छतेत्यन्वयः । अन्य आह । अमत्रेभिर्ग्रहचमसादिगतैरभिषुतैः सोमैर्ऋजीषिणं बलवन्तमेनमिन्द्रं प्रतिगच्छतेति ॥
“Proceed to the presence of that deep quaffer of the Soma, with the Soma; to the vigorous Indra with vessels (filed) with the efused libations.”
With Soma go ye nigh to him chief drinker of the Soma's juice:
With beakers to the Impetuous God, to Indra with the drops effused.
Go toward him, the best of the soma-drinkers, with the soma juices, to Indra possessing the silvery drink, with tankards, with the
pressed drops.
Mit Somatränken schreitet hin zu ihm, dem Somatrinkendsten, Mit Krügen zu dem eilenden, zu Indra mit gepresstem Saft.
Kommet ihm entgegen mit Somatränken, dem größten Somatrinker, mit Humpen dem Trestersafttrinker Indra, mit den ausgepreßten Tränken!
Выходите же к нему навстречу
С соками сомы – к пьющему сому больше всех,
С сосудами – к пьющему сому из выжимок,
К Индре – с выжатыми каплями!
यदी॑ सु॒तेभि॒रिन्दु॑भि॒: सोमे॑भिः प्रति॒भूष॑थ । वेदा॒ विश्व॑स्य॒ मेधि॑रो धृ॒षत्तंत॒मिदेष॑ते ॥
यदि॑ । सु॒तेभिः॑ । इन्दु॑ऽभिः । सोमे॑भिः । प्र॒ति॒ऽभूष॑थ । वेद॑ । विश्व॑स्य । मेधि॑रः । धृ॒षत् । तम्ऽत॑म् । इत् । आ । ई॒ष॒ते॒ ॥
हे अध्वर्यवः सुतेभिः अभिषुतैः इन्दुभिः उन्दनशीलैर्दीप्तैर्वा सोमेभिः सोमैः यदि प्रतिभूषथ इन्द्रं प्रति यूयं प्रतिगच्छथ ॥ ‘ भू प्राप्तौ' इत्यस्यैतद्रूपम् । तदानीं मेधिरः मेधावी । मेधो यज्ञस्तद्वान्वा । स इन्द्रः विश्वस्य विश्वं सर्वं भवदीयं कामं वेद वेत्ति जानाति । ज्ञात्वा च धृषत् । शत्रूणां धर्षकः सन् तंतमित् तं तं काममेव एषते प्रापयति ॥
“When, with the effused and flowing Soma, you come into his presence, the sagacious (Indra) knows your wish, and the suppresser (of enemies) assuredly grants it, whateve it may be.”
What time, with Soma, with the juice effused, ye come before the God,
Full wise he knows the hope of each, and, Bold One, strikes this foe and that.
When you attend on him with the pressed soma drops,
the wise one knows of it all, but he boldly hastens just to that one
[=soma].
Wenn mit gepresstem Indu ihr und Somatränken ihn versorgt, So nimmt der kluge jeden wahr und stürzt auf den und den sich kühn.
Wenn ihr mit den ausgepreßten Somasäften aufwartet - der Weise kennt alles, immer nur ihm strebt er herzhaft zu.
Если выжатыми каплями,
Соками сомы вы угощаете –
Мудрый знает все:
Смело кидается он только к нему да к нему.
अ॒स्माअ॑स्मा॒ इदन्ध॒सोऽध्व॑र्यो॒ प्र भ॑रा सु॒तम् । कु॒वित्स॑मस्य॒ जेन्य॑स्य॒ शर्ध॑तो॒ऽभिश॑स्तेरव॒स्पर॑त् ॥
अस्मैऽअ॑स्मै । इत् । अन्ध॑सः । अध्व॑र्यो॒ इति॑ । प्र । भ॒र॒ । सु॒तम् । कु॒वित् । स॒म॒स्य॒ । जेन्य॑स्य । शर्ध॑तः । अ॒भिऽश॑स्तेः । अ॒व॒ऽस्पर॑त् ॥
अस्माअस्मा इत् अस्मा एवेन्द्राय नान्यस्मै हे अध्वर्यो त्वम् अन्धसः सोमलक्षणस्यान्नस्य सुतम् अभिषुतं रसं प्र भर संप्रहर। प्रयच्छेति यावत् । स चेन्द्रः समस्य सर्वस्य जेन्यस्य जेतव्यस्य शर्धतः उत्सहमानस्य शत्रोः अभिशस्तेः अभिशंसनात् तत्कृताद्धिंसनात् कुवित् बहु । अवस्परत् अस्मान् पालयतु ॥ । १४ ॥
“Offer, priest, to him, and him (only) this libation of (sacrificial) food, and may he ever defend us against the malignity of every superable adversary.”
To him, Adhvaryu! yea, to him give offerings of the juice expressed.
Will he not keep us safely from the spiteful curse of each presumptuous high-born foe?
Just to this one here [=Indra], o Adhvaryu, bring forth the pressed (juice) of the stalk.
Surely he will rescue (us) from the calumny of anyone who boastfully claims high breeding?

Ihm, ihm, o Priester, bringe dar den Saft des blütereichen Strauchs; Wird er vor jedes trotzenden Verwünschung uns beschützen wol?
Nur ihm setz, o Adhvaryu, den Preßtrank des Soma vor! Gewiß wird er uns vor der üblen Nachrede eines jeden überheblichen Stammesgenossen bewahren.
Только ему, о адхварью,
Поднеси выжатый сок сомы!
Конечно, он защитит (нас) от проклятия
Любого наглого соплеменника!
