योनि॑ष्ट इन्द्र॒ सद॑ने अकारि॒ तमा नृभि॑: पुरुहूत॒ प्र या॑हि । असो॒ यथा॑ नोऽवि॒ता वृ॒धे च॒ ददो॒ वसू॑नि म॒मद॑श्च॒ सोमै॑: ॥
योनिः॑ । ते॒ । इ॒न्द्र॒ । सद॑ने । अ॒का॒रि॒ । तम् । आ । नृऽभिः॑ । पु॒रु॒ऽहू॒त॒ । प्र । या॒हि॒ । असः॑ । यथा॑ । नः॒ । अ॒वि॒ता । वृ॒धे । च॒ । ददः॑ । वसू॑नि । म॒मदः॑ । च॒ । सोमैः॑ ॥
हे इन्द्र ते तव सदने सदनार्थं योनिः स्थानम् अकारि । हे पुरुहूत नृभिः मरुद्भिः सार्धं तं योनिम् आ प्र याहि । नः अस्माकं यथा अविता रक्षिता असः भवसि नोऽस्माकं वृधे वर्धनाय च असः । तथा च वसूनि ददः अस्मभ्यं देहि । सोमैः अस्मदीयैः ममदः मादयस्व च ॥
“A plural ce has been prepared for you in the sacrificial chamber; proceed to it, invoked of many, along withthe leaders (of rites the Maruts), inasmuch as you are our protector, (promote our) prosperity; grant us riches; beexhilarated by the Soma.”
A HOME is made for thee to dwell in, Indra: O Much-invoked, go thitherwith the heroes.
That thou, to prosper us, mayst be our Helper, vouchsafe us wealth, rejoice with draughts of Soma.
A womb has been made for you, Indra, on the seat (of the sacrifice). Drive forth to it along with your men, much-invoked one,
so that you will be a helper for us and for our strengthening, and you will give goods and will reach exhilaration through the soma drinks.
Im Heiligthum ist dir ein Schoos bereitet, dem nah', gerühmter Indra, mit den Männern, Dass du uns seist ein Helfer und ein Mehrer, uns Schätze gebst und dich erfreust am Soma.
Ein Schoß ist für dich, Indra, auf dem Opfersitz hergerichtet; zu dem komm, du Vielgerufener, mit deinen Mannen, auf daß du uns ein Gönner und zum Gedeihen seiest, und Güter schenkest und dich am Soma berauschest.
Место для тебя, о Индра, приготовлено на (жертвенном) сидении.
Приходи на него, о многопризываемый, со (своими) мужами,
Чтобы был ты нам помощником и для процветания,
Чтоб дарил блага, о Индра, и опьянялся соками сомы!
गृ॒भी॒तं ते॒ मन॑ इन्द्र द्वि॒बर्हा॑: सु॒तः सोम॒: परि॑षिक्ता॒ मधू॑नि । विसृ॑ष्टधेना भरते सुवृ॒क्तिरि॒यमिन्द्रं॒ जोहु॑वती मनी॒षा ॥
गृ॒भी॒तम् । ते॒ । मनः॑ । इ॒न्द्र॒ । द्वि॒ऽबर्हाः॑ । सु॒तः । सोमः॑ । परि॑ऽसिक्ता । मधू॑नि । विसृ॑ष्टऽधेना । भ॒र॒ते॒ । सु॒ऽवृ॒क्तिः । इ॒यम् । इन्द्र॑म् । जोहु॑वती । म॒नी॒षा ॥
हे इन्द्र द्विबर्हाः । षष्ठ्यर्थे प्रथमा । द्विबर्हसो द्वयोः स्थानयोः परिवृढस्य ते तव मनः गृभीतम् अस्माभिः परिगृहीतम् । सोमः च सुतः अभिषुतः । मधूनि च परिषिक्ता पात्रेषु परिषिक्तानि । विसृष्टधेना विसृष्टजिह्वा मध्यमस्वरेणोच्चार्यमाणा सुवृक्तिः सुसमाप्तिः इयं मनीषा स्तुतिः इन्द्रं जोहुवती भृशमाह्वयन्ती भरते संभ्रियते च ॥
“Your purpose, Indra, is apprehended, you who are mighty in the two (worlds); the Soma is effused; thesweet juices are poured (into the vessels); this perfect praise uttered with loosened tongue propitiates Indra withrepeated invocations.”
Indra, thy wish, twice-strong, is comprehended: pressed is the Soma, poured are pleasant juices.
This hymn of praise, from loosened tongue, made perfect, draws Indra to itself with loud invoking.
Your doubly lofty mind has been captured, Indra; the soma has been pressed, the honeyed (drinks) poured.
With the milk-streams released, the well-turned (hymn) is borne
(forth)—this inspired thought constantly invoking Indra.
Erregt, o Indra, ist dein Geist, und reichlich gepresst der Soma, Süssigkeit ergossen, Gebracht wird dir die milchgemischte Speise, und mächtig ruft dies Andachtslied den Indra.
Dein Sinn, o Indra, ist doppelt gefangen. Der Soma ist gepreßt, die süßen Tränke sind eingeschenkt. Die Lobrede wird in entfesseltem Strome dargebracht, dieses Gedicht, das Indra anruft.
Разум твой дважды захвачен, о Индра.
Выжат сома, разлиты сладкие (струи).
Выпущенным потоком потечет прекрасная песня,
Эта молитва, громко зовущая Индру.
आ नो॑ दि॒व आ पृ॑थि॒व्या ऋ॑जीषिन्नि॒दं ब॒र्हिः सो॑म॒पेया॑य याहि । वह॑न्तु त्वा॒ हर॑यो म॒द्र्य॑ञ्चमाङ्गू॒षमच्छा॑ त॒वसं॒ मदा॑य ॥
आ । नः॒ । दि॒वः । आ । पृ॒थि॒व्याः । ऋ॒जी॒षि॒न् । इ॒दम् । ब॒र्हिः । स॒म॒ऽपेया॑य । या॒हि॒ । वह॑न्तु । त्वा॒ । हर॑यः । म॒द्र्य॑ञ्चम् । आ॒ङ्गू॒षम् । अच्छ॑ । त॒वस॑म् । मदा॑य ॥
हे ऋजीषिन् इन्द्र नः अस्माकम् इदं बर्हिः इमं यज्ञं सोमपेयाय दिवः स्वर्गात् आ याहि आगच्छ । पृथिव्याः अन्तरिक्षाच्च । ‘ आपः पृथिवी' इत्यन्तरिक्षनामसु पाठात् । आ याहि । अपि च तवसं प्रवृद्धं बलवन्तं वा मद्र्यञ्चं मदभिमुखं त्वा त्वाम् आङ्गूषं स्तोत्रम् अच्छ अभि मदाय मदार्थं हरयः अश्वाः वहन्तु ॥
“Come, Rijishin, from the sky, or from the firmament, to this sacred gras, to drink the Soma; let yourhorses bear you who are vigorous to my presence to (receive my) praise and for (thine) exhilaration.”
Come, thou Impetuous; God, from earth or heaven; come to our holy grass to drink the Soma.
Hither to me let thy Bay Horses bring thee to listen to our hymns and make thee joyful.
Drive here to us from heaven, here from earth, you of the silvery drink, to this ritual grass to drink the soma.
Let the fallow bays convey you, the powerful one, turned toward me, to the song, to reach exhilaration.
Vom Himmel her und von der Erde komme auf diese Streu zum Somatrunke eilend; Zu mir her mögen dich die Füchse fahren, zum Lobgesang, dem kräft'gen, und zum Rausche.
Komm zu uns vom Himmel, von der Erde, du ....., auf dieses Barhis, um Soma zu trinken! Dich sollen die Falben zu mir fahren, zum Lobgesang den Starken, daß du dich berauschest.
С неба к нам, с земли, о пьющий (сому) из выжимок,
Приходи на эту жертвенную солому для питья сомы!
Пусть привезут тебя в мою сторону буланые кони
На похвалу, (тебя,) сильного, для опьянения!
आ नो॒ विश्वा॑भिरू॒तिभि॑: स॒जोषा॒ ब्रह्म॑ जुषा॒णो ह॑र्यश्व याहि । वरी॑वृज॒त्स्थवि॑रेभिः सुशिप्रा॒स्मे दध॒द्वृष॑णं॒ शुष्म॑मिन्द्र ॥
आ । नः॒ । विश्वा॑भिः । ऊ॒तिऽभिः॑ । स॒ऽजोषाः॑ । ब्रह्म॑ । जु॒षा॒णः । ह॒रि॒ऽअ॒श्व॒ । या॒हि॒ । वरी॑वृजत् । स्थवि॑रेभिः । सु॒ऽशि॒प्र॒ । अ॒स्मे इति॑ । दध॑त् । वृष॑णम् । शुष्म॑म् । इ॒न्द्र॒ ॥
हे हर्यश्व हरिनामकाश्व सुशिप्र शोभनहनो इन्द्र विश्वाभिः सर्वाभिः ऊतिभिः रक्षाभिः सजोषाः संगतः स्थविरेभिः वृद्धैर्मरुद्भिः सह वरीवृजत् शत्रून् भृशं हिंसन् अस्मे अस्मभ्यं वृषणं कामानां वर्षितारं शुष्मं बलवन्तं पुत्रं दधत् प्रयच्छन् ब्रह्म स्तोत्रं जुषाणः सेवमानः नः अस्मान् आ याहि ॥
“Lord of bay steeds, propitiated by our praise, come to us with all your protections, sharing insatisfaction, handsome-chinned, with the ancient (Maruts), overthrowing repeatedly (your) foes, and granting usa strong and vigorous (son).”
Come unto us with all thine aids, accordant, Lord of Bay Steeds, accepting our devotions,
Fair-helmeted, o'ercoming with the mighty, and lending us the strength of bulls, O Indra.
Drive here to us, along with all your forms of help, o possessor of the fallow bays, taking pleasure in the sacred formulation,
twisting and turning (on your route) with your stalwart (horses), you of good lips, providing to us your bullish impetuous force.
Komm her zu uns, versehn mit allen Hülfen, Gebet annehmend, du mit goldnen Rossen, Schönwangiger, einkehrend mit den starken und Stiereskraft verleihend uns, o Indra.
Mit allen Hilfen vereint komm zu uns, du Falbenfahrer, dich der erbaulichen Rede erfreuend, zu uns einbiegend mit den stämmigen Rossen, du Schönlippiger, uns bullenhaften Mut verleihend, Indra!
К нам в единении со всеми поддержками,
Наслаждаясь священным словом, приезжай, о повелитель буланых коней,
Поворачивая (сюда) на крепких (конях), о прекрасногубый,
Наделяя нас бычьей яростью, о Индра!

ए॒षः । स्तोमः॑ । म॒हे । उ॒ग्राय॑ । वाहे॑ । धु॒रिऽइ॑व । अत्यः॑ । न । वा॒जय॑न् । अ॒धा॒यि॒ । इन्द्र॑ । त्वा॒ । अ॒यम् । अ॒र्कः । ई॒ट्टे॒ । वसू॑नाम् । दि॒विऽइ॑व । द्याम् । अधि॑ । नः॒ । श्रोम॑तम् । धाः ॥
महे महते उग्राय उद्गूर्णाय ओजस्विने वा वाहे विश्वस्य वोढ्रे इन्द्राय धुरीव रथस्य अत्यो न अश्व इव वाजयन् बलं कुर्वन् एष स्तोमः अधायि व्यधाथि । अथ प्रत्यक्षस्तुतिः । हे इन्द्र यं त्वाम् अयमर्कः स्तोता वसूनां वसूनि धनानि ईट्टे याचते स त्वं नः अस्मासु द्यां दिवीव श्रोमतं श्रवणीयमन्नं पुत्रं वा अधि धाः अधिधेहि ॥
“This invogorating praise, like a horse attached, to car, has been addressed to you who are mighty andfierce, the up-bearer (of the world); this thine adorer desires of you, Indra, riches; do you grant us sustenancenotorious as the sky in heaven.”
As to the chariot pole a vigorous courser, this laud is brought to the great strong Upholder.
This hymn solicits wealth of thee: in heaven, as 'twere above the sky, set thou our glory.
This praise is to convey the great, strong (Indra); it has been placed like a prize-seeking steed at the chariot-pole.
Indra, this chant reverently invokes you for goods. Set your hearing in us (as you set) heaven upon heaven.
Dies Loblied ward zur Fahrt dem grossen, starken geschirrt wie an das Joch ein schneller Renner; Dich Indra, fleht der Sänger hier um Schätze; wie Tag an Tag, so füg an uns Erhörung.
Dieses Loblied ist, um den Großen, Gewaltigen zu fahren, gleichsam an die Deichsel wie ein Rennpferd, das um den Siegespreis läuft, gelegt. Dich, Indra, ruft dieses Preislied um Schätze an. Wie Tag auf Tag so häufe auf uns guten Ruf!
Это восхваление будто к дышлу прикреплено,
Как скакун, мчащийся к награде, чтобы отправить (к нам) могучего, грозного.
О Индра, эта песня просит тебя о благах.
Как один день на другой, положи на нас признание!
ए॒वा न॑ इन्द्र॒ वार्य॑स्य पूर्धि॒ प्र ते॑ म॒हीं सु॑म॒तिं वे॑विदाम । इषं॑ पिन्व म॒घव॑द्भ्यः सु॒वीरां॑ यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभि॒: सदा॑ नः ॥
ए॒व । नः॒ । इ॒न्द्र॒ । वार्य॑स्य । पू॒र्धि॒ । प्र । ते॒ । म॒हीम् । सु॒ऽम॒तिम् । वे॒वि॒दा॒म॒ । इष॑म् । पि॒न्व॒ । म॒घव॑त्ऽभ्यः । सु॒ऽवीरा॑म् । यू॒यम् । पा॒त॒ । स्व॒स्तिऽभिः॑ । सदा॑ । नः॒ ॥
हे इन्द्र नः अस्मान् एव एवं वार्यस्य । तृतीयार्थे षष्ठी। वरणीयेन धनेन पूर्धि पूरय । ते तव महीं महतीं सुमतिम् अनुग्रहबुद्धिं वेविदाम भृशं लभेमहि । मघवद्भ्यः हविष्मद्भ्योऽस्मभ्यं सुवीरां शोभनपुत्रादियुताम् इषम् अन्नं पिन्व प्रयच्छेत्यर्थः । स्पष्टमन्यत् ॥ ॥ ८ ॥
“In this manner, Indra, satisfy us (with the gift) of desirable (wealth); may we repeatedly experience yougreat giver; bestow upon us who are opulent (in offerings) food with male descendants; do you ever cherish uswith blessings.”
With precious things. O Indra, thus content us: may we attain to thine exalted favour.
Send our chiefs plenteous food with hero children. Preserve us evermore, ye Gods, with blessings.
Just so, Indra, give to us of what is choice. May we continually procure your great benevolence.
Swell nourishment rich in heroes for the bounteous ones [=patrons]. – Do you protect us always with your blessings.
So, Indra, fülle uns mit schöner Gabe; erlangen lass uns deine grosse Güte; Den Fürsten schenke männerreiche Labung; ihr Götter, schützt uns stets mit eurem Segen.
Also gib uns, Indra, vom Besten mit vollen Händen! Wir möchten deine große Gunst erfahren. Gib den Lohnherren die Freude guter Söhne vollauf! - Behütet ihr uns immerdar mit eurem Segen!
Так наполни нас, Индра, лучшим богатством!
Мы очень хотели б испытать твою великую благосклонность!
Для щедрых покровителей сделай набухшей радость от прекрасных сыновей!
Защищайте вы нас всегда (своими) милостями!
