अ॒यं सोम॑ इन्द्र॒ तुभ्यं॑ सुन्व॒ आ तु प्र या॑हि हरिव॒स्तदो॑काः । पिबा॒ त्व१॒॑स्य सुषु॑तस्य॒ चारो॒र्ददो॑ म॒घानि॑ मघवन्निया॒नः ॥
अ॒यम् । सोमः॑ । इ॒न्द्र॒ । तुभ्य॑म् । सु॒न्वे॒ । आ । तु । प्र । या॒हि॒ । ह॒रि॒ऽवः॒ । तत्ऽओ॑काः । पिब॑ । तु । अ॒स्य । सुऽसु॑तस्य । चारोः॑ । ददः॑ । म॒घानि॑ । म॒घ॒ऽव॒न् । इ॒या॒नः ॥
हे 'इन्द्र तुभ्यं त्वदर्थम् अयम् एषः सोमः सुन्वे अभिषुतोऽभवत् । हे हरिवः हरिवन्निन्द्र तदोकाः । सवनीयो यस्यासौ तदोकाः । तु क्षिप्रम् आ प्र याहि । सुषुतस्य सम्यगभिषुतस्य चारोः शोभनस्य अस्य सोमस्य । द्वितीयार्थे षष्ठी । सम्यगभिषुतं शोभनमित्यर्थः । तु क्षिप्रं पिब च । अपि च हे मघवन् इयानः उपगम्यमानो याच्यमानो वा त्वं मघानि धनानि ददः अस्मभ्यं देहि ॥
“This Soma is poured out, Indra, for you; come, lord of bay steeds, to that dwelling (where it isprepared), drink of the plural ntifully-effused and grateful (libation), give us, Maghavan, when solicited for them,riches.”
THIS Soma hath been pressed for thee, O Indra: come hither, Lord of Bays, for this thou lovest.
Drink of this fair, this well-effused libation: Maghavan, give us wealth when we implore thee.
This soma here is pressed for you, Indra. Drive here toward (it), you of the fallow bays, since you are at home with it.
Drink of this pleasing well-pressed (soma). You will give bounties,
bounteous one, when you are implored.
Gepresst ist dieser Soma dir, o Indra; dich dran zu laben komm, o Füchselenker, Und trink von diesem schöngepressten lieben; gebeten gib uns, reicher, Reichthumsfülle.
Dieser Soma wird für dich, Indra, ausgepreßt. Komm doch her, du Falbenlenker, der du daran gewöhnt bist. Trink doch von diesem gutgepreßten angenehmen Soma, schenke Gaben, du Gabenreicher, darum gebeten!
Этот сома, о Индра, выжимается для тебя.
Приезжай же сюда, о хозяин буланых коней, находя удовольствие в этом!
Испей же этого желанного, хорошо выжатого (сока)!
Дай щедрые дары, о щедрый, когда (тебя) попросят!
ब्रह्म॑न्वीर॒ ब्रह्म॑कृतिं जुषा॒णो॑ऽर्वाची॒नो हरि॑भिर्याहि॒ तूय॑म् । अ॒स्मिन्नू॒ षु सव॑ने मादय॒स्वोप॒ ब्रह्मा॑णि शृणव इ॒मा न॑: ॥
ब्रह्म॑न् । वी॒र॒ । ब्रह्म॑ऽकृतिम् । जु॒षा॒णः । अ॒र्वा॒ची॒नः । हरि॑ऽभिः । या॒हि॒ । तूय॑म् । अ॒स्मिन् । ऊँ॒ इति॑ । सु । सव॑ने । मा॒द॒य॒स्व॒ । उप॑ । ब्रह्मा॑णि । शृ॒ण॒वः॒ । इ॒मा । नः॒ ॥
हे ब्रह्मन् परिवृढ वीर इन्द्र ब्रह्मकृतिं क्रियमाणं स्तोत्रं जुषाणः सेवमानः अर्वाचीनः अस्मदभिमुखः सन् हरिभिः अश्वैः तूयं क्षिप्रं याहि । अस्मिन्नु अस्मिन्नेव सवने यज्ञे सु सुष्ठु मादयस्व च । नः अस्मदीयानि इमा इमानि ब्रह्माणि स्तोत्राणि च उप शृणवः उपशृणु ॥
“Magnified hero, Indra, approving of the sacred rite, come to us speedily with your steeds; be exhilaratedat this sacrifice; hear these our prayers.”
Come to us quickly with thy Bay Steeds, Hero, come to our prayer, accepting our devotion.
Enjoy thyself aright at this libation, and listen thou unto the prayers we offer.
Formulator, hero, taking pleasure in the preparation of the sacred formulation, drive swiftly close by here with your fallow bays.
At just this pressing here reach exhilaration. You will listen to these
sacred formulations of ours.
Das Flehn, o Held, vernehmend beim Gebete, komm rasch herbei, mit deinen Füchsen nahend, Berausche recht dich hier bei dem Gelage, und unsre Bitten mögest du vernehmen.
Du Kenner des erbaulichen Wortes, du Held, der du die Erbauung gern hast, komm eilends mit den Falben herbei! Berausche dich fein an diesem Trankopfer, hör auf diese erbaulichen Worte von uns!
Наслаждаясь молитвой, о герой, исполнением молитвы,
Быстро приезжай в нашу сторону на буланых конях!
Опьяняйся хорошенько на этом выжимании!
Прислушайся к этим нашим молитвам!
का ते॑ अ॒स्त्यरं॑कृतिः सू॒क्तैः क॒दा नू॒नं ते॑ मघवन्दाशेम । विश्वा॑ म॒तीरा त॑तने त्वा॒याधा॑ म इन्द्र शृणवो॒ हवे॒मा ॥
का । ते॒ । अ॒स्ति॒ । अर॑म्ऽकृतिः । सु॒ऽउ॒क्तैः । क॒दा । नू॒नम् । ते॒ । म॒घ॒ऽव॒न् । दा॒शे॒म॒ । विश्वाः॑ । म॒तीः । आ । त॒त॒ने॒ । त्वा॒ऽया । अध॑ । मे॒ । इ॒न्द्र॒ । शृ॒ण॒वः॒ । हवा॑ । इ॒मा ॥
हे इन्द्र ते तव सूक्तैः अस्माभिः क्रियमाणैः स्तोत्रैः अरंकृतिः अलंकृतिः का अस्ति कीदृशी भवति । हे मघवन् ते तव कदा नूनं कदा खलु दाशेम प्रीतिमुत्पादयेम । त्वाया त्वत्कामनयैव विश्वाः मतीः सर्वाः स्तुतीः आ ततने करोमि । अध अतः कारणात् हे इन्द्र मे मदीयानि इमा इमानि हवा हवानि स्तोत्राणि शृणवः शृणु ॥
“What satisfaction is there to you from our hymns? When, Maghavan, may we indeed present to you(oblations)? I expatiate in all praises addressed to you; hear, Indra, these my invocations.”
What satisfaction do our hymns afford thee? When, Maghavan? Now let us do thee service.
Hymns, only hymns, with love for thee, I weave thee: then hear, O Indra, these mine invocations.
What is the proper way to prepare for you with hymns? When now might we do ritual service for you, bounteous one?
I will stretch out all my thoughts, seeking you. So now will you listen to these invocations of mine?
Wie werden wir mit Liedern recht dir dienen? wie sollen wir dir recht, o starker, huld'gen? Ich webe alle Lieder dir zu Liebe, Drum höre nun, o Indra, dies mein Rufen.
Wie kann man dir mit Liedern Genüge tun? Wann sollen wir dir nun aufwarten, du Gabenreicher? Alle Gedanken habe ich nach dir gespannt; darum höre auf diese Rufe von mir, Indra!
Как служить тебе гимнами?
Когда теперь мы сможем почтить тебя, о щедрый?
Из любви к тебе я протянул (к тебе) все мысли –
Так услышь, о Индра, эти мои призывы!
उ॒तो घा॒ ते पु॑रु॒ष्या॒३॒॑ इदा॑स॒न्येषां॒ पूर्वे॑षा॒मशृ॑णो॒ॠषी॑णाम् । अधा॒हं त्वा॑ मघवञ्जोहवीमि॒ त्वं न॑ इन्द्रासि॒ प्रम॑तिः पि॒तेव॑ ॥
उ॒तो इति॑ । घ॒ । ते । पु॒रु॒ष्याः॑ । इत् । आ॒स॒न् । येषा॑म् । पूर्वे॑षाम् । अ॒शृ॒णोः॒ । ऋषी॑णाम् । अध॑ । अ॒हम् । त्वा॒ । म॒घ॒ऽव॒न् । जो॒ह॒वी॒मि॒ । त्वम् । नः॒ । इ॒न्द्र॒ । अ॒सि॒ । प्रऽम॑तिः । पि॒ताऽइ॑व ॥
उत अपि च । घ इति पूरणः । हे मघवन् येषां पूर्वेषाम् ऋषीणां स्तुतीः अशृणोः ते पूर्व ऋषयः पुरुष्याः इत् पुरुषेभ्यो हिता एव आसन् । अध अतः अहं त्वा त्वां जोहवीमि भृशं स्तौमि । अपि च हे इन्द्र त्वं नः अस्माकं पितेव जनक इव प्रमतिः बन्धुः असि ॥
“Friendly to man were those ancien Ṛṣis whose praise you have listened to; therefore, I repeatedlyinvoke you, Maghavan; you, Indra, are well affected towards us as a parent.”
They, verily, were also human beings whom thou wast wont to hear, those earlier sages.
Hence I, O Indra Maghavan, invoke thee: thou art our Providence, even as a Father.
They too were just men—those earlier seers you listened to.
So now it is I who eagerly invoke you, bounteous one. You, Indra, are solicitude for us, like a father.
Es hat ja viele Menschen stets gegeben und alte Dichter, welche du erhört hast; So ruf' auch ich dich heute an, gewalt'ger, du sorgst für uns ja, Indra, wie ein Vater.
Auch jene früheren Rishi´s waren Menschensöhne, auf die du gehört hast. Darum rufe ich laut zu dir, o Gabenreicher. Du Indra bist unsere Vorsehung gleich einem Vater.

Прежние риши, к кому ты прислушивался!
Вот и я громко зову тебя, о щедрый!
Ты, о Индра, заботишься о нас, словно отец.
वो॒चेमेदिन्द्रं॑ म॒घवा॑नमेनं म॒हो रा॒यो राध॑सो॒ यद्दद॑न्नः । यो अर्च॑तो॒ ब्रह्म॑कृति॒मवि॑ष्ठो यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभि॒: सदा॑ नः ॥
वो॒चेम॑ । इत् । इन्द्र॑म् । म॒घऽवा॑नम् । ए॒न॒म् । म॒हः । र॒यः । राध॑सः । यत् । दद॑त् । नः॒ । यः । अर्च॑तः । ब्रह्म॑ऽकृतिम् । अवि॑ष्ठः । यू॒यम् । पा॒त॒ । स्व॒स्तिऽभिः॑ । सदा॑ । नः॒ ॥
इयंव्याख्यातचरा ॥ ५ ॥आनोदेवेति पञ्चर्चं त्रयोदशं सूक्तं वसिष्ठस्यार्षं त्रैष्टुभमैन्द्रम् । आनोदेवेत्यनुक्रान्तम् । प्रथमेछन्दोमे प्रउगशस्त्रे आनइत्ययमैन्द्रस्तृचः सूत्र्यतेहि-आनोदेवशवसायाहिशुष्मिन् प्रवोयज्ञेषुदेवयन्तोअर्चन्निति ।
“Let us glorify that opulent Indra, that he may give us vast and valuable riches, he who is the chiefprotector of the religious rites of the worshippers; do you ever cherish us with blessings.”
We will address this liberal Lord, this Indra, that he may grant us gifts of ample riches,
Best favourer of the singer's prayer and praises. Preserve us evermore, ye Gods, with blessings.
We would proclaim him, just him: Indra the bounteous, so that he will give to us of the largesse of great wealth,
he who best aids the preparation of the chanter’s sacred formulation. – Do you protect us always with your blessings.
Wir wollen rufen diesen reichen Indra, dass er uns grossen Gutes Fülle schenke, Er, der vor allen hört des Sängers Bitte; ihr Götter, schützt uns stets mit eurem Segen.
Wir möchten ihn den gabenreichen Indra nennen, wenn er uns von der Gabe seines Reichtums schenkt, der die Erbauung des Preisenden allem vorzieht. - Behütet ihr uns immerdar mit eurem Segen!
Мы хотели б назвать его щедрым Индрой,
Если даст он нам из дара (своего) великого богатства,
(Он,) который больше всего поддерживает исполнение молитвы воспевающего.
Защищайте вы нас всегда (своими) милостями!
