छन्दजगती
इ॒मा रु॒द्राय॑ स्थि॒रध॑न्वने॒ गिर॑: क्षि॒प्रेष॑वे दे॒वाय॑ स्व॒धाव्ने॑ । अषा॑ळ्हाय॒ सह॑मानाय वे॒धसे॑ ति॒ग्मायु॑धाय भरता शृ॒णोतु॑ नः ॥
इ॒माः । रु॒द्राय॑ । स्थि॒रऽध॑न्वने । गिरः॑ । क्षि॒प्रऽस॑वे । दे॒वाय॑ । स्व॒धाऽव्ने॑ । अषा॑ळ्हाय । सह॑मानाय । वे॒धसे॑ । ति॒ग्मऽआ॑यु॑धाय । भ॒र॒त॒ । शृ॒णोतु॑ । नः॒ ॥
हे अस्मदीयाः स्तोतारः यूयम् इमाः गिरः स्तुतीः रुद्राय एतन्नामकाय देवाय भरत धारयत । कीदृशाय । स्थिरधन्वने दृढधनुष्काय क्षिप्रेषवे शीघ्रगामिबाणाय स्वधाव्ने अन्नवते अषाळ्हाय केनाप्यनभिभूताय सहमानाय शत्रूणामभिभवित्रे वेधसे विधात्रे तिग्मायुधाय तीक्ष्णास्त्राय । एवंभूताय रुद्राय स्तुतीः भरत । स च रुद्रः नः अस्मदीयाः स्तुतीः शृणोतु ॥
“Offer these praises to the divine Rudra, armed with the strong bow and fast-flying arrows, the bestowerof food, the invincible, the conqueror, the creator, the wielder of sharp weapons; may he hear our (praises).”
To Rudra bring these songs, whose bow is firm and strong, the self-dependent God with swiftly-flying shafts,
The Wise, the Conqueror whom none may overcome, armed with sharp-pointed weapons: may he hear our call.
Bring these songs to Rudra, whose bow is taut and whose arrow is swift, to the god of independent power,
to the unvanquishable, vanquishing adept whose weapons are sharp. Let him hear us.
Dem Gott mit starkem Bogen, schnellen Pfeilen bringt, dem unumschränkten Herrscher Rudra dieses Lied, Dem unbesiegten Führer, der den Sieg gewinnt, und scharfe Waffen führt; er höre uns.
Dem Rudra mit festem Bogen und schnellem Pfeile bringet diese Lobrede dar, dem eigenmächtigen Gotte, dem unbezwungenen Bezwinger, dem Meister mit der spitzen Waffe: er soll uns erhören!
Эти хвалебные песни принесите Рудре
С натянутым луком, с быстрой стрелой, богу
Самовластному, неодолимому, (но всех) одолевающему,
Устроителю (обряда), (стрелку) с острым оружием!
Да услышит он нас!
स हि क्षये॑ण॒ क्षम्य॑स्य॒ जन्म॑न॒: साम्रा॑ज्येन दि॒व्यस्य॒ चेत॑ति । अव॒न्नव॑न्ती॒रुप॑ नो॒ दुर॑श्चरानमी॒वो रु॑द्र॒ जासु॑ नो भव ॥
सः । हि । क्षये॑ण । क्षम्य॑स्य । जन्म॑नः । साम्ऽरा॑ज्येन । दि॒व्यस्य॑ । चेत॑ति । अव॑न् । अव॑न्तीः । उप॑ । नः॒ । दुरः॑ । च॒र॒ । अ॒न॒मी॒वः । रु॒द्र॒ । जासु॑ । नः॒ । भ॒व॒ ॥
स हि स खलु रुद्रो देवः क्षम्यस्य । क्षमायां पृथिव्यां भवः। तस्य जन्मनः जनस्य क्षयेण ऐश्वर्येण चेतति प्रज्ञायते । दिव्यस्य जनस्य च साम्राज्येन ऐश्वर्येण प्रज्ञायते । शेषः प्रत्यक्षकृतः । हे रुद्र देव त्वं च अवन्तीः त्वां स्तोत्रैस्तर्पयन्तीः नः अस्मदीयाः प्रजाः अवन् पालयन् दुरः दुर्याणि अस्मदीयानि गृहाणि उप चर उपगच्छ। किंच त्वं नः अस्मदीयासु प्रजासु अनमीवः । अमीवा रोगः । तामकुर्वन् भव ॥
“He is known by his rule over those of terrestrial birth, by his sovereignty over those of celestial (origin);protecting our progeny, Rudra, propitiating you (by praise), come to our dwellings, and be to them a guardianagainst disease.”
He through his lordship thinks on beings of the earth, on heavenly beings through his high imperial sway.
Come willingly to our doors that gladly welcome thee, and heal all sickness, Rudra., in our families.
For in consequence of his dwelling place he takes cognizance of the earthly race and, in consequence of his universal rule, of the heavenly. Providing help, proceed toward our doors that provide help (in return). Bring no affliction to our children, Rudra.
Denn er nimmt wahr vom hohen Throne seines Reichs des irdischen Geschlechtes und des himmlischen; Komm gern zu unsern Häusern, die dich gerne sehn, und lass kein Leid, o Rudra, unsern Kindern nahn.
Denn vermöge seines Wohnsitzes hat er acht auf das irdische Geschlecht vermöge seines Allherrschertums auf das himmlische. Komm freundlich zu unserem freundlich gesinnten Hause; bring keine Krankheit über unsere Nachkommen, o Rudra!
Ведь благодаря (своему) жилью он наблюдает
За земным родом, благодаря высшей власти – за небесным.
Благожелательный к благожелательному нашему дому подходи!
Не поражай болезнью наших потомков!
या ते॑ दि॒द्युदव॑सृष्टा दि॒वस्परि॑ क्ष्म॒या चर॑ति॒ परि॒ सा वृ॑णक्तु नः । स॒हस्रं॑ ते स्वपिवात भेष॒जा मा न॑स्तो॒केषु॒ तन॑येषु रीरिषः ॥
या । ते॒ । दि॒द्युत् । अव॑ऽसृष्टा । दि॒वः । परि॑ । क्ष्म॒या । चर॑ति । परि॑ । सा । वृ॒ण॒क्तु॒ । नः॒ । स॒हस्र॑म् । ते॒ । सु॒ऽअ॒पि॒वा॒त॒ । भे॒ष॒जा । मा । नः॒ । तो॒केषु॑ । तन॑येषु । रि॒रि॒षः॒ ॥
हे रुद्र ते वैधुतात्मनस्तव संबन्धिनी दिवस्परि अन्तरिक्षसकाशात् अवसृष्टा विमुक्ता या दिद्युत् अशनिरूपा हेतिः क्ष्मया क्षित्या क्षितौ वा चरति वर्तते सा दिद्युत् नः अस्मान् परि वृणक्तु परित्यजतु । अपि च हे स्वपिवात ते तव सहस्रं बहूनि भेषजा भेषजानि यान्यौषधानि सन्ति तान्यस्मभ्यं प्रयच्छेति शेषः । नः अस्माकं तोकेषु पुत्रेषु तनयेषु च मा रिरिषः हिंसां मा कृथाः ॥
“May your blazing (weapon), which, discharged from heaven, traverses the earth, avoid us; thine,appeaser of the wind, are a thousand medicaments; inflict not evil upon our sons and grandsons.”
May thy bright arrow which, shot down by thee from heaven, flieth upon the earth, pass us uninjured by.
Thou, very gracious God, bast thousand medicines: inflict no evil on our sons or progeny.
The missile of yours, which, shot downward from heaven, circles around the earth—let it avoid us.
A thousand are your remedies, o you who are our familiar. Do no harm to our offspring and descendants.
Der Blitz, den du vom Himmel niederstürzen lässt, der auf die Erde dringet, der vermeide uns, O vielbegehrter, du hast tausend Arzenein; Lass nicht an Kind und Enkeln Schaden leiden uns.
Dein Geschoß, das vom Himmel gesandt auf Erden umgeht, dassoll uns verschonen! Tausend Heilmittel hast du Verständnisvoller; tu uns an dem leiblichen Samen keinen Schaden!
(Тот) выстрел твой, выпущенный с неба,
Что кружит над землей, да минует он нас!
Тысяча у тебя целебных средств, о (ты,) прекрасно навевающий (жизнь)!
Не повреди нас в продолжении рода!
मा नो॑ वधी रुद्र॒ मा परा॑ दा॒ मा ते॑ भूम॒ प्रसि॑तौ हीळि॒तस्य॑ । आ नो॑ भज ब॒र्हिषि॑ जीवशं॒से यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभि॒: सदा॑ नः ॥
मा । नः॒ । व॒धीः॒ । रु॒द्र॒ । मा । परा॑ । दाः॒ । मा । ते॒ । भू॒म॒ । प्रऽसि॑तौ । ही॒ळि॒तस्य॑ । आ । नः॒ । भ॒ज॒ । ब॒र्हिषि॑ । जी॒व॒ऽशं॒से । यू॒यम् । पा॒त॒ । स्व॒स्तिऽभिः॑ । सदा॑ । नः॒ ॥
हे रुद्र त्वं नः अस्मान् मा वधीः मा हिंसीः । तथा मा परा दाः मा च त्याक्षीः । अपि च हीळितस्य क्रुद्धस्य ते तव प्रसितौ प्रकर्षेण बन्धने वयं च मा भूम। किंच जीवशंसे जीवैराशंसनीये बर्हिषि यज्ञे नः अस्मान् आ भज भागिनः कुरु । हे रुद्रप्रमुखाः देवाः यूयं नः अस्मान् कल्याणैः सर्वदा पालयत ॥ ॥ १३ ॥
“Harm us not, Rudra; abandon us not; let us not fall under the bondage of you when displeased; makeus partakers of the life-promotion sacrifice; and do you, (gods), ever cherish us with blessings.”
Slay us not, nor abandon us, O Rudra let not thy noose, when thou art angry, seize us.
Give us trimmed grass and fame among the living. Preserve us evermore, ye Gods, with blessings.
Do not smite us, Rudra. Do not deliver us up. Let us not be in the toils of you in your anger.
Give us a share in the ritual grass and in the praise of the living. – Do you protect us always with your blessings.
Nicht schlage uns, nicht gib dahin uns, Rudra, nicht seien wir, wo du im Zorn herandringst, Lass lange lebend uns die Streu noch schmücken; ihr Götter, schützt uns stets mit eurem Segen.
Töte uns nicht, Rudra, gib uns nicht preis! Wir möchten, wenn du ärgerlich bist, dir nicht ins Garn kommen. Laß uns am Opfer, an der Rede der Lebenden teilnehmen! Behütet ihr uns immerdar mit eurem Segen!
Не убей нас, о Рудра, не выдай!
Да не окажемся мы в западне у тебя, рассерженного!
Выдели нам долю на жертвенной соломе, в речи живых!
Защищайте вы нас всегда (своими) милостями.
