देवताद्यावापृथिव्यौ

छन्दत्रिष्टुप्
प्र द्यावा॑ य॒ज्ञैः पृ॑थि॒वी नमो॑भिः स॒बाध॑ ईळे बृह॒ती यज॑त्रे । ते चि॒द्धि पूर्वे॑ क॒वयो॑ गृ॒णन्त॑: पु॒रो म॒ही द॑धि॒रे दे॒वपु॑त्रे ॥
प्र । द्यावा॑ । य॒ज्ञैः । पृ॒थि॒वी इति॑ । नमः॑ऽभिः । स॒ऽबाधः॑ । ई॒ळे॒ । बृ॒ह॒ती इति॑ । यज॑त्रे॒ इति॑ । ते इति॑ । चि॒त् । हि । पूर्वे॑ । क॒वयः॑ । गृ॒णन्तः॑ । पु॒रः । म॒ही इति॑ । द॒धि॒रे । दे॒वपु॑त्रे॒ इति॑ दे॒वऽपु॑त्रे ॥
यजत्रे यजनीये बृहती बृहत्यौ महत्यौ द्यावा पृथिवी द्यावापृथिव्यौ यज्ञैः यागैः नमोभिः स्तोत्रैश्चाहं स्तोता सबाधः बाधासहितः । ऋत्विजां संबाधयुक्त इत्यर्थः । प्र ईळे प्रकर्षेण स्तौमि । मही महत्यौ देवपुत्रे । देवाः पुत्रा ययोस्ते । ते चिद्धि तादृश्यौ खल्वपि द्यावापृथिव्यौ पूर्वे पुरातनाः कवयः गृणन्तः स्तुवन्तः पुरः दधिरे पुरस्तात् स्थापयामासुः ॥
“Attended by a concourse (of priests) I worship the adorable and mighty Heaven and Earth withsacrifices and praises, those wo great ones of whom the gods are the sons, whom ancient sages glorifying haveformerly detained.”
AS priest with solemn rites and adorations I worship Heaven and Earth, the High and Holy.
To them, great Parents of the Gods, have sages of ancient time, singing, assigned precedence.
I urgently invoke Heaven and Earth, the lofty ones worthy of the sacrifice, with sacrifices and acts of reverence,
for the ancient poets who also hymned them set in front those two great ones whose sons are the gods.
Mit Opfern ehr' ich eifervoll in Demuth die hohen heil'gen Himmel und die Erde, Denn hoch sind sie, die grossen Götterältern, geehrt von alten Dichtern, die sie priesen.
Zuvor rufe ich Himmel und Erde unter Opfern und Verbeugungen eindringlich an, die Hohen, Opferwürdigen, denn auch die früheren Seher haben lobpreisend diese beiden großen Göttereltern vorangestellt.
Прежде всего я настойчиво зову Небо-и-Землю
Жертвами (и) поклонениями, высоких, достойных жертв.
Ведь и те прежние поэты, воспевая,
Ставили впереди (всех) двоих великих, чьи сыновья - боги.
प्र पू॑र्व॒जे पि॒तरा॒ नव्य॑सीभिर्गी॒र्भिः कृ॑णुध्वं॒ सद॑ने ऋ॒तस्य॑ । आ नो॑ द्यावापृथिवी॒ दैव्ये॑न॒ जने॑न यातं॒ महि॑ वां॒ वरू॑थम् ॥
प्र । पू॒र्व॒जे इति॑ पू॒र्व॒ऽजे । पि॒तरा॑ । नव्य॑सीभिः । गीः॒ऽभिः । कृ॒णु॒ध्व॒म् । सद॑ने । ऋ॒तस्य॑ । आ । नः॒ । द्या॒वा॒पृ॒थि॒वी॒ इति॑ । दैव्ये॑न । जने॑न । या॒त॒म् । महि॑ । वा॒म् । वरू॑थम् ॥
हे अस्मदीयाः स्तोतारो यूयं नव्यसीभिः नवतराभिः गीर्भिः स्तुतिरूपाभिर्वाग्भिः ऋतस्य यज्ञस्य सदने स्थानभूते पूर्वजे पूर्वं प्रजाते पितरा पितरौ विश्वस्य मातापितृभूते द्यावापृथिव्यौ प्र कृणुध्वं पुरस्कुरुत । अथ प्रत्यक्षस्तुतिः । हे द्यावापृथिवी द्यावापृथिव्यौ युवां दैव्येन देवसंबन्धिना जनेन सह नः अस्मानभि आ यातम् आगच्छतम् । किमर्थम् आयातमित्युच्यते । वां युवयोः वरूथम् अस्माभिर्वरणीयं महि महत्। यद्धनमस्तीति शेषः। तद्धनमस्मभ्यं दीयतामित्यर्थः ॥
“plural ce before (us) in the hall of sacrifice, with new songs, the ancient parents (of all beings); come to us,Heaven and Earth, with the celestial people, for vast is your protecting (wealth).”
With newest hymns set in the seat of Order, those the Two Parents, born before all others,
Come, Heaven and Earth, with the Celestial People, hither to us, for strong is your protection.
With newer hymns bring forward into the seat of truth the two
ancient-born parents.
O Heaven and Earth, journey here to us with the divine folk. Great is your protection.
Macht, Sänger, euch geneigt durch neue Lieder, im heil'gen Sitz die urgebornen Aeltern, O Erd' und Himmel mit dem Stamm der Götter kommt her zu uns; denn gross ist eure Schutzwehr.
Lasset den beiden Erstgeborenen, den Eltern, den beiden Sitzen der Wahrheit mit euren neuesten Lobreden den Vortritt! Kommet zu uns, Himmel und Erde, mit dem göttlichen Volke! Groß ist euer beider Schutz.

Придите к нам, о Небо-и-Земля, вместе с божественным

उ॒तो इति॑ । हि । वा॒म् । र॒त्न॒ऽधेया॑नि । सन्ति॑ । पु॒रूणि॑ । द्या॒वा॒पृ॒थि॒वी॒ इति॑ । सु॒ऽदासे॑ । अ॒स्मे इति॑ । ध॒त्त॒म् । यत् । अस॑त् । अस्कृ॑धोयु । यू॒यम् । पा॒त॒ । स्व॒स्तिऽभिः॑ । सदा॑ । नः॒ ॥
उतो हि अपि च खलु हे द्यावापृथिवी द्यावापृथिव्यौ वां युवयोः सुदासे शोभनहविर्दानाय यजमानाय देयानि पुरूणि बहूनि रत्नधेयानि रमणीयानि धनानि सन्ति भवन्ति । तेषां मध्ये यत् धनम् अस्कृधोयु । कृधुको ह्रस्वः । अह्रस्वमनल्पम् असत् भवेत्तद्धनम् अस्मे अस्मभ्यं धत्तं प्रयच्छतम् । हे द्यावापृथिव्यौ यूयं युवां नः अस्मान् सर्वदा कल्याणैः पात पालयतम् ॥ ॥२०॥
“Many, Heavan and Earth, are the treasures fit to be given to the pious donor (of the oblation); give to usthat wealth which is unlimited; and do you ever cherish us with blessings.”
Yea, Heaven and Earth, ye hold in your possession full many a treasure for the liberal giver.
Grant us that wealth which comes in free abundance. Preserve us evermore, ye Gods, with blessings.
And because there exist many occasions for you to provide treasures to the good giver [/Sudās], o Heaven and Earth,
provide for us something that will not be stunted. – Do you protect us always with your blessings.
Denn viele Schätze habt ihr auszutheilen dem reichen Geber, Himmel ihr und Erde, Nicht spärlich sei, was ihr uns beide schenket; ihr Götter, schützt uns stets mit eurem Segen.
Denn ihr habt auch viele Belohnungen für den Freigebigen, für den Sudas, o Himmel und Erde. Bringet uns das, was ungeschmälert sein wird!-Behütet uns immerdar mit eurem Segen!
А также есть ведь у вас много раздач
Сокровищ, о Небо-и-Земля, для щедро приносящего (жертвы).
Нам дайте (то,) что оказалось бы нескаредным!
Защищайте вы нас всегда (своими) милостями!
