देवतावास्तोष्पतिः

छन्दत्रिष्टुप्
वास्तो॑ष्पते॒ प्रति॑ जानीह्य॒स्मान्त्स्वा॑वे॒शो अ॑नमी॒वो भ॑वा नः । यत्त्वेम॑हे॒ प्रति॒ तन्नो॑ जुषस्व॒ शं नो॑ भव द्वि॒पदे॒ शं चतु॑ष्पदे ॥
वास्तोः॑ । प॒ते॒ । प्रति॑ । जा॒नी॒हि॒ । अ॒स्मान् । सु॒ऽआ॒वे॒शः । अ॒न॒मी॒वः । भ॒व॒ । नः॒ । यत् । त्वा॒ । ईम॑हे । प्रति॑ । तत् । नः॒ । जु॒ष॒स्व॒ । शम् । नः॒ । भ॒व॒ । द्वि॒ऽपदे॑ । शम् । चतुः॑ऽपदे ॥
हे वास्तोष्पते गृहस्य पालयितर्देव त्वम् अस्मान् त्वदीयान् स्तोतॄनिति प्रति जानीहि प्रबुध्यस्व । तदनन्तरं नः अस्माकं स्वावेशः शोभननिवेशः अनमीवः अरोगकृच्च भव । किंच वयं त्वा त्वां यत् धनम् ईमहे याचामहे त्वमपि तत् धनं नः अस्मभ्यं प्रति जुषस्व प्रयच्छ । अपि च नः अस्माकं द्विपदे पुत्रपौत्रादिजनाय शं सुखकरः भव । चतुष्पदे अस्मदीयाय गवाश्वादिवर्गाय च शं सुखकरो भव ॥
“Protector of the dwelling, recognize us; be to us an excellent abode the non-inflicter of disease;whatever we ask of you, be plural ased to grant; be the bestower of happiness on our bipeds and quadrupedṣ”
ACKNOWLEDGE us, O Guardian of the Homestead: bring no disease, and give us happy entrance.
Whate'er we ask of thee, be pleased to grant it, and prosper thou quadrupeds and bipeds.
O Lord of the Dwelling Place, greet us. Become easy to enter and without affliction for us.
When we entreat you, favor us in return: become weal for our
two-footed, weal for our four-footed.
O Wohnungsherr, erkenn uns als die deinen, schaff guten Eingang uns, entfern die Leiden; Was wir dich bitten, das gewähr uns huldreich, zum Heil sei Menschen und zum Heil den Thieren.
Herr der Wohnstatt! Heiße uns willkommen! Der Eingang bei dir sei glückbringend; sei du uns frei von Krankheit! Worum wir dich bitten , das tu uns zu Gefallen; sei unseren Zweifüßlern zum Glück und den Vierfüßlern zum Glück!
О Вастошпати, признай нас!
Будь дарующим нам счастливый вход (в дом), отсутствие болезней!
О чем мы тебя просим, обрадуй нас этим!
Да будет счастье нашим двуногим, счастье четвероногим!
वास्तो॑ष्पते प्र॒तर॑णो न एधि गय॒स्फानो॒ गोभि॒रश्वे॑भिरिन्दो । अ॒जरा॑सस्ते स॒ख्ये स्या॑म पि॒तेव॑ पु॒त्रान्प्रति॑ नो जुषस्व ॥
वास्तोः॑ । प॒ते॒ । प्र॒ऽतर॑णः । नः॒ । ए॒धि॒ । ग॒य॒ऽस्फानः॑ । गोभिः॑ । अश्वे॑भिः । इ॒न्दो॒ इति॑ । अ॒जरा॑सः । ते॒ । स॒ख्ये । स्या॒म॒ । पि॒ताऽइ॑व । पु॒त्रान् । प्रति॑ । नः॒ । जु॒ष॒स्व॒ ॥
हे वास्तोष्पते गृहस्य पालयितर्देव त्वं नः अस्माकं प्रतरणः प्रवर्धकः गयस्फानः गयस्य अस्मदीयस्य धनस्य स्फाययिता प्रवर्धकः एधि भव । हे इन्दो सोमवदाह्लादक ते त्वया सह सख्ये सति वयं गोभिः पशुभिः अश्वेभिः अश्वैश्च सहिताः अजरासः जरारहिताः स्याम भवेम । विनाशरहिता इत्यर्थः । पितेव पुत्रान् यथा पिता पुत्रान् रक्षकत्वेन सेवते तथा त्वमपि नः अस्मान् प्रति जुषस्व सेवस्व ॥
“Protector of the dwelling, be our preserver and the augmenter of our wealth; possessed of catle andhorses, Indra, may we, through your friendship, be exempt from decay; be favourable to us, like a father to hissons.”
Protector of the Home, be our promoter: increase our wealth in kine and steeds, O Indu.
May we be ever-youthful in thy friendship: be pleased in us as in his sons a father.
O Lord of the Dwelling Place, be one who furthers us, fattening the livestock with cows, with horses, o drop.
In your companionship might we be unaging. Like a father his sons, favor us in return.
O Wohnungsherr, sei hülfreich uns und schenke dem Haus Gedeihn an Rind und Ross, o Indu, In deiner Freundschaft lass uns nicht ermatten, und sei uns liebreich wie dem Sohn der Vater.
Herr der Wohnstatt! Sei uns das Leben verlängernd, den Hausstand an Rindern und Rossen mehrend, o Soma! In deiner Freundschaft seien wir nicht alternd; sei uns zu Gefallen wie ein Vater seinen Söhnen!
О Вастошпати, будь нам продлевателем (срока жизни),
Коровами (и) конями приводя хозяйство к процветанию, о капля!
Да будем мы нестареющими в дружбе с тобой!
Радуй нас, как отец сыновей!
वास्तो॑ष्पते श॒ग्मया॑ सं॒सदा॑ ते सक्षी॒महि॑ र॒ण्वया॑ गातु॒मत्या॑ । पा॒हि क्षेम॑ उ॒त योगे॒ वरं॑ नो यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभि॒: सदा॑ नः ॥
वास्तोः॑ । प॒ते॒ । श॒ग्मया॑ । स॒म्ऽसदा॑ । ते॒ । स॒क्षी॒महि॑ । र॒ण्वया॑ । गा॒तु॒ऽमत्या॑ । पा॒हि । क्षेमे॑ । उ॒त । योगे॑ । वर॑म् । नः॒ । यू॒यम् । पा॒त॒ । स्व॒स्तिऽभिः॑ । सदा॑ । नः॒ ॥
हे वास्तोष्पते देव शग्मया सुखकर्या रण्वया रमणीयया गातुमत्या धनवत्या ते त्वया देयया संसदा स्थानेन सक्षीमहि वयं संगच्छेमहि । त्वमपि क्षेमे प्राप्तस्य रक्षणे उत अपि च योगे अप्राप्तस्य प्रापणे वरं वरणीयं नः अस्मदीयं धनं पाहि रक्ष । हे वास्तोष्पते यूयं त्वं नः अस्मान् सर्वदा कल्याणैः पात पाहि ॥ ॥ २१ ॥
“Protector of the dwelling, may we be possessed of a comfortable, delightful, opulent abode, bestowedby you; protect our wealth, whether in possession or expectaion; and do you, (gods), ever cherish us withblessings.”
Through thy dear fellowship that bringeth welfare, may we be victors, Guardian of the Dwelling!
Protect our happiness in rest and labour. Preserve us evermore, ye Gods, with blessings.
O Lord of the Dwelling Place, might we be accompanied by your capable fellowship, joy-bringing, providing the way.
Protect us at will in peace and war. – Do you protect us always with your blessings.
Lass Wohnungsherr uns deiner Huld Gemeinschaft, der starken, lieben, segnenden geniessen, Schütz unser Gut in Arbeit und in Ruhe, ihr Götter, schützt uns stets mit eurem Segen.
Herr der Wohnstatt! Wir möchten deiner bewährten, erfreulichen, fördernden Gesellschaft teilhaft sein. Schütze uns im Frieden und auf der Kriegsfahrt aufs beste!-Behütet uns immerdar mit eurem Segen!
О Вастошпати, пусть будем мы одарены твоим (все)могущим
Обществом, доставляющим наслаждение, открывающим (все) выходы!
Храни нас в мире и в походе лучше всего!
Защищайте вы нас всегда (своими) милостями!
