ऋषिबृहन्मतिः
देवतापवमानः सोमः

छन्दगायत्री
पु॒ना॒नो अ॑क्रमीद॒भि विश्वा॒ मृधो॒ विच॑र्षणिः । शु॒म्भन्ति॒ विप्रं॑ धी॒तिभि॑: ॥
पु॒ना॒नः । अ॒क्र॒मी॒त् । अ॒भि । विश्वाः॑ । मृधः॑ । विऽच॑र्षणिः । शु॒म्भन्ति॑ । विप्र॑म् । धी॒तिऽभिः॑ ॥
पुनानः पूयमानः विचर्षणिः द्रष्टा सोमः विश्वाः सर्वान् मृधः हिंसकान् शत्रून् अभि अक्रमीत् अतिक्रान्तवान् । तं विप्रं मेधाविनं धीतिभिः कर्मभिरभिषवादिभिः स्तुतिभिर्वा शुम्भन्ति दीपयन्ति अलंकुर्वन्ति ॥
“The pure all-seeing (Soma) has overcome all enemies; (the worshippers) grace the sage (Soma) with their praises.”
THE Very Active hath assailed, while purified, all enemies:
They deck the Sage with holy songs.
Becoming purified, the limitless one has attacked all the scorners.
They [=poets] beautify the inspired poet with their inspired thoughts.
Gereinigt, hat der emsige bezwungen aller Feinde Schar, Den weisen schmücken sie mit Lied.
Sich läuternd ist er auf alle Verächter losgegangen, der Ausgezeichnete. Sie verschönen den Beredten mit ihren Dichtungen.
आ योनि॑मरु॒णो रु॑ह॒द्गम॒दिन्द्रं॒ वृषा॑ सु॒तः । ध्रु॒वे सद॑सि सीदति ॥
आ । योनि॑म् । अ॒रु॒णः । रु॒ह॒त् । गम॑त् । इन्द्र॑म् । वृषा॑ । सु॒तः । ध्रु॒वे । सद॑सि । सी॒द॒ति॒ ॥
अयम् अरुणः अरुणवर्णः सोमः योनिं स्थानं द्रोणकलशम् आ रुहत् आरोहति । ततः इन्द्रं गमत् गच्छति । कुतः सन् । अयं वृषा वर्षकः फलानां सुतः अभिषुतः सन् गत्वा ध्रुवे सदसि स्थिरे स्थाने द्युलोकाख्ये सीदति निवसति ॥
“The tawny-hued showerer (of benefits) when effused ascends to his plural ce; he goes to Indra; he dwells in the fixed abode (of heaven).”
The Red hath mounted to his place; to India, goes the mighty juice:
He settles in his firm abode.
The ruddy one has mounted to the womb; the bull, when pressed, will go to Indra.
He sits in the steadfast seat.
Der flammende bestieg den Schooss, zu Indra kam der Stier, erzeugt, Er setzt sich auf den festen Sitz.
Der Rötliche soll seinen Platz besteigen, der ausgepreßte Bulle soll zu Indra gehen. Er setzt sich auf seinen ständigen Sitz.
नू नो॑ र॒यिं म॒हामि॑न्दो॒ऽस्मभ्यं॑ सोम वि॒श्वत॑: । आ प॑वस्व सह॒स्रिण॑म् ॥
नु । नः॒ । र॒यिम् । म॒हाम् । इ॒न्दो॒ इति॑ । अ॒स्मभ्य॑म् । सो॒म॒ । वि॒श्वतः॑ । आ । प॒व॒स्व॒ । स॒ह॒स्रिण॑म् ॥
हे सोम अभिषुतस्त्वं हे इन्दो नः अस्मभ्यं नु क्षिप्रं महां महान्तं सहस्रिणम् असंख्यातं रयिं धनं विश्वतः आ पवस्व सर्वतः परिस्रव ॥
“O Indu, O Soma, quickly pour upon us from all quarters vast and infinite riches.”
O Indu, Soma, send us now great opulence from every side, Pour on us treasures thousandfold.
Now for us, o drop, for us all all around, o Soma, attract great wealth in thousands, in purifying yourself.
Nun riesle grossen Schatz herbei von allen Seiten, Indu, uns, O Soma, tausendfaches Gut.
Nun läutere uns, o Somasaft, großen Reichtum von allen Seiten zu, tausendfachen!
विश्वा॑ सोम पवमान द्यु॒म्नानी॑न्द॒वा भ॑र । वि॒दाः स॑ह॒स्रिणी॒रिष॑: ॥
विश्वा॑ । सो॒म॒ । प॒व॒मा॒न॒ । द्यु॒म्नानि॑ । इ॒न्दो॒ इति॑ । आ । भ॒र॒ । वि॒दाः । स॒ह॒स्रिणीः॑ । इषः॑ ॥
हे सोम पवमान पूयमान इन्दो दीप्त त्वं विश्वा सर्वाणि बहुविधानि द्युम्नानि द्रविणानि आ भर आहर । विदाः लम्भय च सहस्रिणीः सहस्रसंख्याकानि इषः अन्नानि ॥
“O purified Soma, O Indu, bring all sorts of wealth bestow unlimited food.”
O Soma Pavamana, bring, Indu, all splcndours hitherward:
Find for us food in boundless store.
O self-purifying Soma, o drop, bring all brilliant things hither;
you will find refreshments in thousands.
O bringe alle Schätze her, o Soma, Indu, flammender, Verschaff uns tausendfaches Gut.
Alle Herrlichkeiten bring uns, du geläuterter Somasaft; verschaffe tausendfältige Labungen!
स न॑: पुना॒न आ भ॑र र॒यिं स्तो॒त्रे सु॒वीर्य॑म् । ज॒रि॒तुर्व॑र्धया॒ गिर॑: ॥
सः । नः॒ । पु॒ना॒नः । आ । भ॒र॒ । र॒यिम् । स्तो॒त्रे । सु॒ऽवीर्य॑म् । ज॒रि॒तुः । व॒र्ध॒य॒ । गिरः॑ ॥
हे सोम सः त्वं नः अस्मभ्यं स्तोत्रे स्तोतृभ्यः पुनानः पूयमानोऽभिषूयमाणः आ भर आहर । किम् । रयिं धनम् । कीदृशम् । सुवीर्यं सुपुत्रम् । किंच जरितुः स्तोतुः गिरः स्तुतीः वर्धय ॥
“O Soma, being purified, bring us your worshippers wealth with male offspring, recompense the praises of him who glorifies you.”
As thou art cleansed, bring hero strength and riches to thy worshipper,
And prosper thou the singer's hymns.
Being purified, bring hither wealth and an abundance of heroes to our praise singer;
strengthen the songs of the singer.
Gereinigt bringe Reichthum du dem Sänger her und Heldenkraft, Des Dichters Lieder segne du.
Bring, dich läuternd, unserem Sänger Reichtum, die Meisterschaft; stärke die Lobreden des Sängers!

पु॒ना॒नः । इ॒न्दो॒ इति॑ । आ । भ॒र॒ । सोम॑ । द्वि॒ऽबर्ह॑सम् । र॒यिम् । वृष॑न् । इ॒न्दो॒ इति॑ । नः॒ । उ॒क्थ्य॑म् ॥
हे इन्दो सोम पुनानः पूयमानस्त्वम् आ भर आहर । किम् । रयिं धनम् । कीदृशं धनम् । द्विबर्हसं द्वयोः द्युपृथिव्याख्ययोः स्थानयोः परिवृद्धम् । तदेवाह । हे इन्दो’ वृषन् वर्षक नः अस्मभ्यम् उक्थ्यं स्तुत्यं धनमा भर ॥ ॥ ३० ॥
“Indu, Soma, being purified, bring us wealth from both worlds; Indu, showerer (of benefits), (bring us) glorious (wealth).”
O Indu, Soma, being cleansed, bring hither riches doublypiled,
Wealth, mighty Indu, meet for lauds.
Being purified, o drop, bring hither double-lofty wealth—o Soma, bullish drop—bring us wealth worthy of hymns.
Gereinigt bringe, Indu, her o Soma, zwiefach reichen Schatz Uns rühmenswerthen, Indu, Stier!
Wenn du dich läuterst, o Somasaft, so bring uns doppeltgroßen Reichtum, preislichen, du bullenhafter Saft!
