ऋषिअयास्यः
देवतापवमानः सोमः

छन्दगायत्री
प्र ण॑ इन्दो म॒हे तन॑ ऊ॒र्मिं न बिभ्र॑दर्षसि । अ॒भि दे॒वाँ अ॒यास्य॑: ॥
प्र । नः॒ । इ॒न्दो॒ इति॑ । म॒हे । तने॑ । ऊ॒र्मिम् । न । बिभ्र॑त् । अ॒र्ष॒सि॒ । अ॒भि । दे॒वान् । अ॒यास्यः॑ ॥
हे इन्दो सोम त्वं नः अस्माकं महे महते तने धनाय प्र अर्षसि प्रगच्छसि । न संप्रति अयास्यः चायमृषिः तव ऊर्मिं तरङ्गं बिभ्रत् धारयन् देवान् अभि गच्छति यष्टुम् ॥
“Indu, you advance to give us abundant wealth; Ayāsya bearing your waves (go) towards the gods (to sacrifice).”
INDU, to us for this great rite, bearing as 'twere thy wave to Gods,
Unwearied, thou art flowing forQh.
O drop, you rush forth for our great extension, like (a river) bearing a wave, irrepressible, toward the gods.
Zu langer Dauer strömst du uns, wie Wellen tragend, Indu, vor Hin zu den Göttern ohne Rast.
Du rinnst uns weiter zu großer Lebensdauer, o Saft, gleichsam die Woge tragend, für die Götter unverdrossen.
К нам вперед, о капля, для великой непрерывности (обряда)
Ты течешь, словно неся волну,
В сторону богов, неутомимая.

म॒ती । जु॒ष्टः । धि॒या । हि॒तः । सोमः॑ । हि॒न्वे॒ । प॒रा॒ऽवति॑ । विप्र॑स्य । धार॑या । क॒विः ॥
कविः क्रान्तकर्मा सोमः विप्रस्य मेधाविनः स्तोतुः मती मत्या स्तुत्या जुष्टः सेवितः धिया कर्मणा हितः यज्ञे निहितः परावति पवित्राद्दूरदेशे धारया हिन्वे प्रेर्यते ॥
“The sage Soma gratified by the praise of the pious (worshipper) prepared for the sacrifice is sent in a stream at a distance (from the filter).”
Pleased with the hymn, impelled by prayer, Soma is hurried far away,
The Wise One in the Singer's stream.,
Soma is impelled in the distance, delighted by the thought, impelled by the insight
of the inspired poet—(Soma himself) a sage poet—in a stream.
Erfreut durch Lied, Gebet-gespornt wird Soma fernehin gesandt, Der Seher in des Sängers Strom.
Bei der Dichtung in Gunst, durch die Kunst angespornt, eilt Soma in die Ferne, der Seher im Strome des Redekundigen.
Довольный молитвой, посланный поэтической мыслью,
Спешит сома в дальние края
С потоком (слов) вдохновенного, (этот) поэт,
अ॒यं दे॒वेषु॒ जागृ॑विः सु॒त ए॑ति प॒वित्र॒ आ । सोमो॑ याति॒ विच॑र्षणिः ॥
अ॒यम् । दे॒वेषु॑ । जागृ॑विः । सु॒तः । ए॒ति॒ । प॒वित्रे॑ । आ । सोमः॑ । या॒ति॒ । विच॑र्षणिः ॥
जागृविः जागरणशीलः अयं सोमः देवेषु देवार्थं सुतः अभिषुतः आ एति समन्तात् गच्छति । अपि च विचर्षणिः विद्रष्टा सोमः पवित्रे याति पावनाय गच्छति ॥
“This vigilant Soma effused for the gods, approaches, all-beholding he goes to the filter.”
Watchful among the. gods, this juice advances to the cleansing sieve
Soma, most active, travels on.
This one, wakeful among the gods, goes pressed into the filter.
Soma the limitless is making his journey.
Bei Göttern wachsam eilet er zur Seihe der gepresste hin, Der Soma schreitet rüstig vor.

सः । नः॒ । प॒व॒स्व॒ । वा॒ज॒ऽयुः । च॒क्रा॒णः । चारु॑म् । अ॒ध्व॒रम् । ब॒र्हिष्मा॑न् । आ । वि॒वा॒स॒ति॒ ॥
हे सोम यं त्वां बर्हिष्मान् ऋत्विक् आ विवासति परिचरति सः त्वं नः अस्मदर्थं वाजयुः अन्नमिच्छन् 'अध्वरं हिंसारहितं यागं चारु कल्याणं चक्राणः कुर्वन् पवस्व क्षर ॥
“Flow for us food-desiring, making (our) sacrifice auspicious; (O Soma, whom) the priest with the sacred grass adores.”
Flow onward, seeking strength for us, embellishing the sacrifice:
The priest with trimmed grass calleth thee.
Purify yourself for us, seeking prizes, making the dear ceremony your own. The one with the ritual grass [=priest] seeks to lure (you) here.
So riesle Kraft verleihend uns, und mache schön das Opferfest, Der Streubereiter lockt dich her.
Läutere du dich für uns nach dem Siegerpreis verlangend, das Opfer angenehm machend. Der das Barhis hergerichtet hat, ladet ein.
Очищайся для нас, стремясь к награде,

सः । नः॒ । भगा॑य । वा॒यवे॑ । विप्र॑ऽवीरः । स॒दाऽवृ॑धः । सोमः॑ । दे॒वेषु । आ । य॒म॒त् ॥
सः पवमानः सोमः वायवे वायुदेवार्थं भगाय भगदेवार्थं च विप्रवीरः विप्रैर्मेधाविभिः स्तुत्या प्रेरितः सदावृधः नित्यवृद्धो भवन् नः अस्मभ्यं देवेषु स्थितं धनम् आ यमत् आ प्रयच्छतु ॥
“May Soma who is pressed forth by the seers for Bhaga and Vāyu, ever prosper in, grant us (wealth plural ced) among the gods.”
May Soma, ever bringing power to Bhaga and to Vayu, Sage
And Hero, lead us to the Gods.
He whose heroes are poets, growing ever stronger for Bhaga, for Vāyu— Soma will guide us to the gods.
Er, Soma, lenke unser Lied, gerühmt von Sängern, stets voll Kraft Für Bhaga, Vaju götterwärts.
Er möge uns dem Bhaga, Vayu empfehlen, er, der die Männer beredt macht, der stets Fördernde. Soma möge sich bei den Göttern verwenden.

हे सोम क्रतुवित् क्रतूनां कर्मणां लम्भकः गातुवित्तमः पुण्यलोकानामतिशयेन मार्गस्य ज्ञाता त्वम् अद्य अस्मिन्नहनि नः अस्माकं वसुत्तये धनलाभाय बृहत् महत् श्रवः अन्नं वाजं बलं च जेषि जय ॥ ॥ १ ॥
“Receiver of sacrifices, knower of (pious), give us this day abundant food and strength for the acquisition of wealth.”
So, to increase our wealth to-day, Inspirer, best of Furtherers,
Win for us strength and high renown.
You who find the will, who best find the way—in order to give us goods today, win the prize and lofty praise.
