देवतापवमानः सोमः

अध्व॑र्यो॒ अद्रि॑भिः सु॒तं सोमं॑ प॒वित्र॒ आ सृ॑ज । पु॒नी॒हीन्द्रा॑य॒ पात॑वे ॥
अध्व॑र्यो॒ इति॑ । अद्रि॑ऽभिः । सु॒तम् । सोम॑म् । प॒वित्रे॑ । आ । सृ॒ज॒ । पु॒नी॒हि । इन्द्रा॑य । पात॑वे ॥
हे अध्वर्यो अद्रिभिः ग्रावभिः सुतम् अभिषुतं सोमं पवित्र आ सृज । एतदेव दर्शयति । इन्द्राय इन्द्रस्य पातवे पानाय पुनीहि पावय ॥
“Adhvaryu, pour upon the filter the Soma that has been expressed with the stones, purify it for Indra's drinking.”
ADHVARYU, on the filter pour the Soma juice expressed with stones,
And make it pure for Indra's drink.
O Adhvaryu, send the soma, pressed by stones, surging into the filter. Purify it for Indra to drink.
Den steingepressten Soma lass, o Priester, durch die Seihe gehn, Dem Indra läutre ihn zum Trunk.
Adhvaryu! Laß den mit Steinen ausgepreßten Soma auf die Seihe laufen; läutere ihn für Indra zum Trunke!
Адхварью! Выжатого камнями
Сому выливай в цедилку!
Очищай (его) Индре для питья!
दि॒वः पी॒यूष॑मुत्त॒मं सोम॒मिन्द्रा॑य व॒ज्रिणे॑ । सु॒नोता॒ मधु॑मत्तमम् ॥
दि॒वः । पी॒यूष॑म् । उ॒त्ऽत॒मम् । सोम॑म् । इन्द्रा॑य । व॒ज्रिणे॑ । सु॒नोत॑ । मधु॑मत्ऽतमम् ॥
हे अध्वर्यवः यूयं मधुमत्तमम् अतिशयेन मधुमन्तं दिवः द्युलोकस्य पीयूषम् अमृतम् उत्तमं श्रेष्ठं सोमं वज्रिणे वज्रवते इन्द्राय सुनोत अभिषुणुत ॥
“(Adhvaryus), effuse the most sweet-flavoured Soma, the best ambrosia of heaven for Indra, the wielder of the thunderbolt.”
Pour out for Indra, Thunder-armed, the milk of heaven,, the Soma's juice,
Most excellent, most rich in sweets.
The highest beestings of heaven, the most honeyed soma—
press it for Indra who bears the mace.
Des Himmels allerschönste Milch, den Soma braut, den süssesten, Dem Indra, ihm dem Blitzes Herrn.
Den besten Rahm des Himmels, den Soma, presset für den Keulenträger Indra aus, den süßesten!

तव॒ त्य इ॑न्दो॒ अन्ध॑सो दे॒वा मधो॒र्व्य॑श्नते । पव॑मानस्य म॒रुत॑: ॥
तव॑ । त्ये । इ॒न्दो॒ इति॑ । अन्ध॑सः । दे॒वाः । मधोः॑ । वि । अ॒श्न॒ते॒ । पव॑मानस्य । म॒रुतः॑ ॥
हे इन्दो सोम तव संबन्धिनं मधोः मदकरस्य पवमानस्य पूयमानम् अन्धसः अन्नम् । कर्मणि षष्ठी । त्ये त इमे देवाः इन्द्रादयः मरुतः च व्यश्नते व्याप्नुवन्ति प्राप्नुवन्तीत्यर्थः ॥
“Indu, the gods and the Maruts partake your sweet purifying beverage.”
These Gods and all the Marut host, Indu enjoy this juice of thine,
This Pavamana's flowing meath.
Of your stalk, of your honey, o drop, do these gods eat;
of you, the self-purifying one, do the Maruts.
Von deinem süssen Trank geniesst, o Indu, hier die Götterschar, Die Maruts von dem rieselnden.
Von deinem süßen Trank, o Saft, von dem sich läuternden genießen jene Götter, die Marut.
Этот твой сок, о капля,
Вкушают боги, сладкий,
Очищающийся, Маруты.
त्वं हि सो॑म व॒र्धय॑न्त्सु॒तो मदा॑य॒ भूर्ण॑ये । वृष॑न्त्स्तो॒तार॑मू॒तये॑ ॥
त्वम् । हि । सो॒म॒ । व॒र्धय॑न् । सु॒तः । मदा॑य । भूर्ण॑ये । वृष॑न् । स्तो॒तार॑म् । ऊ॒तये॑ ॥
हे सोम सुतः अभिषुतः त्वं वर्धयन् देवान प्रवृद्धान् कुर्वन् वृषन् कामान् वर्षन् भूर्णये क्षिप्राय मदाय ऊतये रक्षणाय च स्तोतारम् अभिगच्छसीत्यर्थः ॥
“For you, Soma, being effused, approach the worshipper for speedy exhilaration and protection.”
For, Soma, thou hast been effused, strengthening for the wild carouse,
O Steer, the singer, for our help.
For you, Soma, are strengthening when you are pressed for fervent exhilaration,
to help the praiser, you bull.
Denn du, o Soma, bist gepresst zu kraftbegabten Rausch, o Stier, Den Sänger stärkend zum Genuss.
Denn du, o Soma, bist es, der zu erregtem Rausche ausgepreßt den Sänger erhebt, um ihm beizustehen, o Bulle.
Ведь это ты, сома, выжатый
Для буйного опьянения, укрепляешь,
О бык, восхвалителя, чтобы (ему) помочь.
अ॒भ्य॑र्ष विचक्षण प॒वित्रं॒ धार॑या सु॒तः । अ॒भि वाज॑मु॒त श्रव॑: ॥
अ॒भि । अ॒र्ष॒ । वि॒ऽच॒क्ष॒ण॒ । प॒वित्र॑म् । धार॑या । सु॒तः । अ॒भि । वाज॑म् । उ॒त । श्रवः॑ ॥
हे विचक्षण सोम सुतः अभिषुतस्त्वं पवित्रम् अभि प्रति धारया अर्ष गच्छ। उत अपि चास्माकं वाजम् अन्नं श्रव: कीर्तिं च अभि क्षरेत्यर्थः॥ ॥ ८ ॥
“Hasten, sagacious (Soma), when you are effused, to the filter in a stream; bestow upon us food and fame.”
Flow with thy stream, Far-sighted One, effused, into the cleansing sieve:
Flow on to give us strength and fame.
O wide-gazing one, pressed in a stream, rush into the filter
to the prize of victory and to fame.
Zur Seihe rinne hin im Strom, gepresst, o weithinschauender, Zur Labung und zu hohem Ruhm.
Fließe du Hellsehender ausgepreßt im Strome auf die Seihe, zu Gewinn und Ruhme!
Струись, о далеко смотрящий,
В цедилку, выжатый потоком, –
К добыче и к славе!
