प्र हि॑न्वा॒नो ज॑नि॒ता रोद॑स्यो॒ रथो॒ न वाजं॑ सनि॒ष्यन्न॑यासीत् । इन्द्रं॒ गच्छ॒न्नायु॑धा सं॒शिशा॑नो॒ विश्वा॒ वसु॒ हस्त॑योरा॒दधा॑नः ॥
प्र । हि॒न्वा॒नः । ज॒नि॒ता । रोद॑स्योः । रथः॑ । न । वाज॑म् । स॒नि॒ष्यन् । चया॒सी॒त् । इन्द्र॑म् । गच्छ॑न् । आयु॑धा । स॒म्ऽशिशा॑नः । विश्वा॑ । वसु॒ । हस्त॑योः । आ॒ऽदधा॑नः ॥
हिन्वानः प्रेर्यमाणोऽध्वर्य्वादिभिः जनिता उत्पादयिता रोदस्योः द्यावापृथिव्याः । तयोः जनयितृत्वं वृष्टिप्रदानहविष्प्रापणाभ्याम् । तादृक्सोमः वाजम् अन्नं सनिष्यन् दास्यन् प्र अयासीत् प्रगच्छति । इन्द्रं गच्छन् प्राप्नुवन् आयुधा आयुधानि संशिशानः सम्यक् तीक्ष्णीकुर्वन्निन्द्रसाहाय्यगमनार्थं तीक्ष्णायुधः सन् विश्वा सर्वाणि वसु वसूनि हस्तयोरादधानः अस्मभ्यं दानाय । एवं कुर्वन् प्रायासीत् ॥
“Urged (by the priests) the genitive rator of heaven and earth advances like a chariot, wishing to distribute food; going to Indra, sharpening his weapons, holding all treasures in his hands.”
URGED On, the Father of the Earth and Heaven hath gone forth like a car to gather booty,
Going to Indra, sharpening his weapons, and in his hand containing every treasure.
Being propelled, the begetter of the two worlds has driven forth like a chariot, striving to win the prize,
going to Indra, sharpening his weapons, taking all goods in his hands.
Schon naht entsandt der Zeuger beider Welten gleich einem Wagen, der den Preis erstrebet; Zu Indra gehend, seine Waffen wetzend und in den Händen alle Güter haltend.
Zur Eile getrieben hat der Schöpfer beider Welten wie ein Wagen, der den Siegerpreis gewinnen soll, seine Fahrt begonnen. Zu Indra geht er die Waffen schärfen, alle Güter hält er in Händen.

अ॒भि । त्रि॒ऽपृ॒ष्ठम् । वृष॑णम् । व॒यः॒ऽधाम् । आ॒ङ्गू॒षाणा॑म् । अ॒वा॒व॒श॒न्त॒ । वाणीः॑ । वना॑ । वसा॑नः । वरु॑णः । न । सिन्धू॑न् । वि । र॒त्न॒ऽधाः । द॒य॒ते॒ । वार्या॑णि ॥
त्रिपृष्ठम् । त्रीणि पृष्ठानि स्तोत्राणि द्रोणकलशादिस्थानानि वा सवनानि वा यस्य स तथोक्तः । तं वृषणं वर्षकं वयोधाम् अन्नस्य दातारं सोमम् आङ्गूषाणाम् आघोषवतां स्तोतॄणां वाणीः वाचः अभि अवावशन्त शब्दयन्ते । वना वनान्युदकानि वसानः आच्छादयन् वरुणो न वरुण इव सिन्धून् आच्छादयति तद्वत् । रत्नधाः रत्नानां दाता सोमः वार्याणि धनानि दयते प्रयच्छति स्तोतृभ्यः ॥
“The voices of the worshippers resound about him the triple-backed, the showerer (of benefits), the giver of food; arrayed in water as Varuṇa (is arrayed) in the rivers, the giver of precious wealth he bestows desirable riches.”
To him the tones of sacred song have sounded, Steer of the triple height, the Life-bestower.
Dwelling in wood as Varuna in rivers, lavishing treasure he distributes blessings
Toward the three-backed bull, who imparts vitality, have the voices of the songs bellowed.
Clothing himself in the woods, like Varuṇa in the rivers, the conferrer of treasures distributes desirable things.
Dem Stier mit dreien Rücken, welcher Lust gibt, ihm jauchzten zu der Preisgesänge Chöre, In Flut gehüllt, wie Varuna die Ströme, vertheilt viel schönes Gut der Schätzespender.
Zu dem dreirückigen Bullen, dem Kraftverleiher, schrieen die Stimmen der Loblieder. In Holz sich kleidend, wie Varuna in die Ströme, teilt der Belohner die erwünschten Gaben aus.
Трехспинного быка, дающего силу жизни,
Громко приветствуют звуки хвалебных песен.
Одеваясь в дерево, как Варуна в реки,
Даритель сокровищ раздает желанные блага.

शूर॑ऽग्रामः । सर्व॑ऽवीरः । सहा॑वान् । जेता॑ । प॒व॒स्व॒ । सनि॑ता । धना॑नि । ति॒ग्मऽआ॑यु॑धः । क्षि॒प्रऽध॑न्वा । स॒मत्ऽसु॑ । अषा॑ळ्हः । स॒ह्वान् । पृत॑नासु । शत्रू॑न् ॥
हे सोम पवस्व त्वम् । कीदृशस्त्वम् । शूरग्रामः शूराणां ग्रामः संघो यस्य सः । सर्ववीरः । सर्वे वीरा यस्य स तथोक्तः । सहावान् सहनवान् जेता जयशीलः सनिता संभक्ता धनानि तिग्मायुधः तीक्ष्णप्रहरणसाधनः क्षिप्रधन्वा क्षिप्रसहनशीलधन्वा समत्सु संग्रामेषु अषाळ्हः असोढः साह्वान् अभिभवन् । कुत्र। पृतनासु शत्रुसेनासु । कान्। शत्रून् ॥
“Flow you who have a host of warriors, who have all the heroes, full of strength, victorious, the giver of riches, sharp-weaponed, rapid bowman, irresistible in battle, overthrowing the enemy (arrayed) in (hostile) armies.”
Great Conqueror, warnor-girt, Lord of all heroes, flow on thy way as he who winneth riches;
With sharpened. arms, with swift bow, never vanquished in battle, vanquishing in fight the foemen.
Having a horde of champions, having hale heroes, purify yourself as victorious conqueror and winner of stakes,
with your sharp weapons and snapping bows invincible in combats,
vanquishing your rivals in battles.
Umschart von Helden, alle Männer führend, ström hell, ein mächt'ger Sieger, Gut erbeutend, Im Kampf mit scharfen Waffen, schnellem Bogen, in Schlachten schlagend unbesiegt die Feinde.
Ein überlegener Sieger mit tapferem Clane, mit lauter Männern, läutere dich, ein Gewinner von Schätzen, mit scharfen Waffen, mit schnellschießendem Bogen im Kampfe, ein unbezwungener Bezwinger der Feinde in den Schlachten!
С отрядом героев, со всеми мужами, покоряющий
Победитель, захватчик богатств, очищайся,
(Бог) с острым оружием, с луком, быстрым в боях,
Не покоренный, (но) покоряющий врагов в битвах!
उ॒रुग॑व्यूति॒रभ॑यानि कृ॒ण्वन्त्स॑मीची॒ने आ प॑वस्वा॒ पुरं॑धी । अ॒पः सिषा॑सन्नु॒षस॒: स्व१॒॑र्गाः सं चि॑क्रदो म॒हो अ॒स्मभ्यं॒ वाजा॑न् ॥
उ॒रुऽग॒व्यूतिः । अभ॑यानि । कृ॒ण्वन् । स॒मी॒ची॒ने इति॑ स॒म्ऽई॒ची॒ने । आ । प॒व॒स्व॒ । पुर॑न्धी॒ इति॒ पुर॑म्ऽधी । अ॒पः । सिसा॑सन् । उ॒षसः॑ । स्वः॑ । गाः । सम् । चि॒क्र॒दः॒ । म॒हः । अ॒स्मभ्य॑म् । वाजा॑न् ॥
हे सोम उरुगव्यूतिः विस्तीर्णमार्गस्त्वम् अभयानि स्तोतृभ्यः कृण्वन् कुर्वन् पुरंधी। इदं द्यावापृथिव्योर्नाम । ते समीचीने संगते कुर्वन् आ पवस्व आक्षर। अपः उषसः स्वः आदित्यं गाः रश्मींश्च सिषासन् पुष्ट्यर्थं संभक्तुमिच्छन् सं चिक्रदः संक्रन्दसे । महः महतो महान्ति वाजान् अन्नानि अस्मभ्यं दातुमिति शेषः ॥
“Flow you whose paths are broad, giving security (to the worshipper), uniting heaven and earth, wishing to enjoy the waters of dawn, the sun and (his) rays you cry aloud, ( to bestow upon) us ample food.”
Giving security, Lord of wide dominion, send us both earth and heaven with all their fulness.
Striving to win the Dawns, the light, the waters, and cattle, call to us abundant vigour.
Providing broad pastures, creating (places) without danger, by purifying yourself procure the two united forms of plenty [=Heaven and Earth]. Striving to win the waters, also the dawns, the sun, and the cows, you have roared together great prizes for us.
Geräum'ge Flur und sichern Sitz gewährend, ström her des Himmels und der Erde Fülle; Gern spendend Wasser, Morgen, Sonne, Kühe, bring rauschend uns zusammen grosse Schätze.
Weite Triften, Sicherheit schaffend läutere die beiden vereinigten Glücksgöttinnen Himmel und Erde herbei! Das Wasser, die Morgenröten, die Sonne, die Kühe suche zu gewinnen und brause uns große Gewinne zusammen!
С широким пастбищем, создающий безопасность,
Очищайся (на благо) двум обращенным друг к другу Изобилиям!
Стремясь захватить воды, утренние зори, небо, коров,
Прореви нам (все) вместе великие награды!
मत्सि॑ सोम॒ वरु॑णं॒ मत्सि॑ मि॒त्रं मत्सीन्द्र॑मिन्दो पवमान॒ विष्णु॑म् । मत्सि॒ शर्धो॒ मारु॑तं॒ मत्सि॑ दे॒वान्मत्सि॑ म॒हामिन्द्र॑मिन्दो॒ मदा॑य ॥
मत्सि॑ । सो॒म॒ । वरु॑णम् । मत्सि॑ । मि॒त्रम् । मत्सि॑ । इन्द्र॑म् । इ॒न्दो॒ इति॑ । प॒व॒मा॒न॒ । विष्णु॑म् । मत्सि॑ । शर्धः॑ । मारु॑तम् । मत्सि॑ । दे॒वान् । मत्सि॑ । म॒हाम् । इन्द्र॑म् । इ॒न्दो॒ इति॑ । मदा॑य ॥
हे पवमान पूयमान इन्दो सोम त्वं वरुणादीन् मत्सि तर्पय तेषां मदाय । इन्द्रस्य प्राधान्यात् द्विरभिधानम् ॥
“Soma, exhilarate Varuṇa, exhilarate Mitra; O Soma Pavamāna, exhilarate Indra and Viṣṇu, exhilarate the company of the Maruts, exhilarate the gods, exhilarate the mighty Indra, O Indu, for his exhilaration.”
O Soma, gladden Varuna and Mitra; cheer, Indu Pavamana! Indra, Visnu.
Cheer thou the Gods, the Company of Maruts: Indu, cheer mighty Indra to rejoicing.
Exhilarate Varuṇa, o Soma; exhilarate Mitra. Exhilarate Indra, o self-purifying drop, and Viṣṇu.
Exhilarate the troop of Maruts; exhilarate the gods. Exhilarate great Indra, o drop, for his exhilaration.
Berausch, o Soma, Varuna und Mitra, den Indra, Indu, rieselnder, den Vischnu, Berausch der Maruts Schar, berausch die Gotter, berausch zum Rausch den grossen Indra, Indu!
Berausche, o Soma, den Varuna, berausche Mitra, berausche Indra, o Saft, o Pavamana, den Vishnu; berausche das Marutheer, berausche die Götter, berausche den großen Indra, o Saft, zum Rausche!
Опьяняй, о сома, Варуну, опьяняй Митру,
Опьяняй Индру, о сок Павамана, (и) Вишну!
Опьяняй толпу Марутову, опьяняй богов,
Опьяняй великого Индру, о сок, для опьянения!
ए॒वा राजे॑व॒ क्रतु॑माँ॒ अमे॑न॒ विश्वा॒ घनि॑घ्नद्दुरि॒ता प॑वस्व । इन्दो॑ सू॒क्ताय॒ वच॑से॒ वयो॑ धा यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभि॒: सदा॑ नः ॥
ए॒व । राजा॑ऽइव । क्रतु॑ऽमान् । अमे॑न । विश्वा॑ । घनि॑घ्नत् । दुः॒ऽइ॒ता । प॒व॒स्व॒ । इन्दो॒ इति॑ । सु॒ऽउ॒क्ताय॑ । वच॑से । वयः॑ । धाः॒ । यू॒यम् । पा॒त॒ । स्व॒स्तिऽभिः॑ । सदा॑ । नः॒ ॥
अनया स्तुतिमुपसंहरन् फलमाशास्ते । हे सोम एव एवं स्तुत इति शेषः। क्रतुमान् त्वं राजेव अमेन बलेन विश्वा सर्वाणि दुरिता दुरितानि घनिघ्नत् विनाशयन् पवस्व । हे इन्दो दीप्त सोम सूक्ताय शोभनमुदिताय वचसे अस्माकं स्तोत्राय तद्वचो विमृष्यार्थवदवगत्य वयो धाः अन्नं धेहि। अन्नलाभस्य स्तुतिनिमित्तकत्वात्तस्य स्तुतिवचसः प्राधान्येनोक्तिः । शिष्टं सिद्धम् ॥ ॥२६॥
“Thus (glorified), to you (Soma) like a king, performing your functions, flow on destroying all evils by your might; Indu, give food (in answer) to (our) well-recited praise; do you (O gods) cherish us ever with blessings.”
Thus like a wise and potent King flow onward, destroying with thy vigour all misfortunes.
For our well-spoken hymn give life, O Indu. Do ye preserve us evermore with blessings.
In this way, like a king full of resolve, ever smiting all obstacles to progress with your onslaught, purify yourself.
O drop, impart vitality to our speech. – Do you protect us always with your blessings.

So ströme hell gleich einem mächt'gen König, durch deinen Andrang alle Noth verjagend, Verleihe, Indu, Kraft dem schönen Liede, beschirmet ihr uns stets mit eurem Segen.
Also läutere dich, wie ein umsichtiger König mit Wucht, alle Unfälle abwehrend! O Saft, gib der wohlgesetzten Rede Schwung! - Behütet ihr uns immerdar mit eurem Segen!
Та очищайся же, словно царь, обладающий силой духа (и) неистовством,
Мощно поражая все злодеяния!
О сок, дай силу жизни хорошо сказанной речи!
Защищайте вы нас всегда (своими) милостями!
